We had dinner last night, excellent food and service. I have big problems with gluten, the professionalism encountered only deserves my huge thanks, because for those like me who are ill, they feel out of place almost everywhere, as if it were a fault to have a problem. My family spent a week in Italy (Florence and at Lake Garda/Desenzano) and our first dinner at Al Portico was so fantastic and the experience at this family owned restaurant so delightful that we had to go back. The second meal was even better as we felt like we were having a Sunday family dinner in Naples! They were also incredibly helpful around our gluten sensitivity issues as well. I highly recommend having a meal here when in Desenzano!

My son had a very good and not heavy gourmet pizza even though there was mortadella with fjord milk and pesto and my daughter had the schnitzel with chips which was also excellent but they didn't bring the bread Very good coffee but the chocolate salami was missing even though it was on the menu
