Staff were very friendly, service was very quick. But. The pie was lackluster. The crust was not good, it's apparently gluten free and seems to make a big difference. The filling was great, but didn't make up for the crust. Thick and grainy crust which kind of hid the small quantity of filling inside....

The very handsome Alan was very attentive and helpful with my gluten free requirements, unfortunately no waffles but he did make me some lovely gf pancakes instead. My besty had a pistachio waffle which was delicious, beautiful interior with comfy seats, will definately visit again soon 😋

We had chicken fajitas. The chicken was a little bit overcooked but overall it wasn’t bad. My Husband ordered a gluten-free beer. It was the best he’s had on our travels. I think it was called the stinking hen. The best part of the whole experience was the Romanian waiter/owner not quite sure. He was entertaining the whole time taught us a lot of about the Romanian culture and general world history 👍good food and much laughter What else can you ask for while dining?

Being both vegetarian and gluten free it's not easy finding a decent burger but I would recommend The Rockstone, especially if you are vegetarian or have dietary restrictions. There were plenty of burger options and staff were very helpful with making this gluten free. I got the veggie patty - which wasn't fake meat, it was actually made of vegetables and really delicious. Service was a bit slow, however I think this was just because we were a large group. So trying to cook 11 different burgers at once can't be easy! Staff were friendly and all of our orders were completely right. I Would recommend and would go again.

Lovely food and staff. Ran out of gluten free Yorkshire puddings but the staff made a special effort and made me two! It was very much appreciated as I know dietary requirements can be a pain in the arse. Been here twice, would definitely recommend.

Had a very tasty and reasonably priced Vegan cooked breakfast. My friend who is a Coeliac also enjoyed her gluten free bacon sandwich. Always a good strong cup of tea served. Staff are so friendly and food always good Revised at the weekend, rate everything now 5 stars, what a great place. To summarise, very shoddy service and horrible food for the price. 5 mediocre wings for almost £12? A small burger with bad toppings and small portion of chips for £17.50?? We ordered our food and waited 1 hour and 40 mins and still no mains, I had enough and complained about the wait and they never even put our mains order through (we got starters after 20 mins but they forgot about our main). They said sorry and offered me a free drink so I asked for just a coke and it never even came. They offered 10% off our bill, but instead ADDED 10% by mistake so if we hadn't noticed, we would've been charged more for this service. Finally, one of us has a gluten allergy and so we explained this and only ordered her gluten free food, and yet at the end of the day, she had an incredibly upset stomach only caused by consuming gluten. In the end, the food sucked and cost way more than a bunch of other restaurants that serve better food with better service. Shame as well because the atmosphere and location are amazing, very disappointed.

Lovely place, great atmosphere, food is lovely, definitely one of the nicer bars/pubs in Southampton. However, as someone who is allergic to gluten they have very limited options to drink. The only gluten free alcoholic drink they offer is Purbeck cider which in my opinion is just not very nice. Considering they have so many ales etc available they could have one more cider or a gluten free beer, they're pretty common nowadays.

We had a 50th birthday party here, The management was very helpful with all are requests. We have been here before and it was great no problems with are meal where happy to come again, but on 10/1/2025 this occasion we were gluten and would suggest if you are coeliac or are gluten intolerance best avoided at busy times.

I visited with a friend who is c Celiac, we qued for 5 mins ,and when she reached the top of the que she asked the member of staff which cakes were gluten free?He refused to tell her and directed her to the website. This meant that she then had to go away and scroll through the options, and qué up again, instead she gave up.Why can't you label the food?

I can't have gluten, so they give me my burger with all the extra in a takeaway box!! Soooo much food it is difficult to finish, but that's not a problem because I can just take it home with me!

What a great find. Couldn't fault the excellent thoughtful service. The very lovely Stella was super helpful in helping with gluten free options for me and my children (delicious gluten free pizza and pasta options). Great takeaway, and understood dietary requirements for my gluten free wife. Most dishes on the menu seem to be gluten free. Also got a free pint whilst waiting for for takeaway as arrived and not quite ready, and a free bottle of wine a Christmas present!

Piggy's is nice little café with some okay food choices, the main down side to this place, is when they cook food on the premises, if it's a hot day, you tend to get over heated. I try and sit as close to the door as I can to avoid becoming too hot but it's not always available and each time I end up not getting a door seat, I over heat, since they have no air conditioning or anything to cool the eating area. The other down sides comes with the food quality for price, I paid for some Korean chicken and rice, the chicken was great, but the sauce they had it in was more then likely microwaved, It was incredibly hot, not spicy hot, but heat hot, the sort of heat you get from a microwave. The next issue with the dish was the rice, it was over cooked and almost the consistency of mush, It's not clear how they cooked the rice, but it wasn't good. something worth mentioning about the chicken, it wasn't that hot, the sauce had all the heat but the chicken was almost stone cold, really poor. The other food options are also not that great, they have really high prices for their food but quality doesn't match it, the only thing holding this review at 3 stars is the fact they are the only restaurant/café that enable mum to get a gluten free alternative in Woolston, for that reason alone we will keep going there but if a better option comes around, you can be sure we will move on, unless the quality and comfort improves.
