This place was lovely!!!! arranged for a family birthday lunch as we had some people who were vegan/gluten free. The cafe actually put out a birthday banner, table decorations and a slice of cake with a candle in it!! even though I didn't ask (which got me lots of brownie points! THANK YOU!!!). The food was great and they were so lovely despite it being a sunny day and being super busy and training new staff. Really pleased with the choice and hope to come back soon!!

What an amazing little place! Staff couldn’t have been more kind and attentive. As a coeliac it’s really difficult eating out but these guys get it - GF fryers and GF fish and chips - the best I’ve had. We’ll be back!

Lovely food at this restaurant last night. But best of all was the service we received from the servers and the chef who came out to discuss the gluten free options as my daughter is celiac. We felt so confident eating there as they really took time to advise us and the food was all delicious. The chef made a lovely bruschetta adapted with gluten free bread which my daughter really enjoyed. Thank you so much. We will definitely be back.

Completely contrasting meals today. Two scampi and chips - “best scampi we have ever had”. Chicken nuggets kids meal supposedly suitable for children up to 14 but tiny portion so not the case - get more in a happy meal. Really let down by the gluten free cod. Really really greasy - oil poured out of it when I cut into it and was completely tasteless which might be expected of gluten free food ten years ago but not in 2024. The fish was so oily I had to put it on my napkin which was saturated in no time. Not sure I would recommend this as a gluten free destination as a result.
Enjoy a spotless stay with powerful showers, a scenic walk to the harbor, and a fantastic breakfast that’s worth every penny!

Went for lunch on a Saturday. We had to wait for a table as it was very busy.
I had the prawn salad & my friend, who is gluten & dairy intolerant, had the crab salad. We chose to have buttered new potatoes instead of chips. They were both huge portions with plenty of prawns and a lovely fresh salad. Great food at a very reasonable price. Would definitely recommend.

Being a severe coeliac and lactose intolerant I'm hard to cater for. After googling and finding the gluten free restaurant we wanted to go to closed we went into beckett of whitby. They were amazing and really helped me find something on the menu I could eat, which was delicious. The staff were really friendly and went over and above to help me which I really appreciated. Highly recommend.

A lovely little find along a quaint little street in Whitby. Our family of three adults and a child were ready for a good breakfast and certainly found what we were looking for.
A lovely, small, clean, no nonsense cafe with absolutely great food and lovely, personable staff. They even perfectly accommodated my husband's gluten intolerance.
Can't complain at the prices either!
Our breakfasts perfectly set us up for the day!
