We had a very nice server and there’s a great ambiance at Scopa, perfect for dates and connecting with friends alike. They have a gorgeous bar, large window, candles on the tables, and all of our food came perfectly coursed. We were easily able to make a same-day reservation via the Resy app, and I do recommend making a reservation in advance because it was popping when we arrived. For parking, you can either park in the connected valet lot ($13 on a Monday) or look for free street parking (we found it pretty easily, but then again it was a Monday).
There are the top four absolute must-order items you should order to share:
1. Hot Antipasti - Scallops Oreganata ($23) with brown butter, bread crumbs, & lemon. I’m gluten free so I asked for no breadcrumbs, and I also recommend ordering a side of gluten free bread to dip in the brown butter after you finish enjoying the scallops because they have the absolute best gluten free cheesecheese bread! They only came with 2 scallops in an order so consider ordering enough so each person can have at least 1 full scallop.
2. Hot Antipasti - Mortadella Meatballs ($21) with pistachio pesto, arugula, & parmesan cheese. This came with 3 medium-large sized meatballs covered in a delicious green pesto - don’t let looks deceive you, even if this isn’t how you expect meatballs to look they’re delish.
3. Cold Antipasti - Heirloom Tomatoes ($18) with sweet onion, basil, ricotta salata cheese, sherry vinegar, & olive oil. If you enjoy tomatoes of all shapes and sizes, this is the dish for you. My favorite were the little orange tomatoes.
4. Salad - Raw Brussels Sprouts Salad ($22) with generous pecorino romano cheese, parsley, grapes, olive oil, sherry vinegar, & toasted almonds. This was a good portion size and the best raw Brussels sprouts I’ve ever had.
While I did really enjoy the flavor of oysters themselves and their sauces, and I do want to put them as item 5 to order, each of the oysters had some shell bits had to spit out, and it only came with 1 spoon and 0 mini forks. The oysters come with lemon slices, cocktail sauce, shredded horseradish, mignonette, and are $4.50 each with a minimum of 6. I would order them again, but enjoy them carefully and hope that they’re shucked better next time.
However…
Maybe things were off because it was a Monday and they had multiple large last minute parties walk in. Maybe I should have gone for the pastas instead of the below because it is an Italian restaurant. Maybe I’m just a person who enjoys more seasoning on seafood or less sauce on pork chops, but a few of the dishes weren’t exactly as good as I was expecting.
Unless you love canned tuna, absolutely avoid the Sicilian Tuna Cold Antipasti ($19) with market green beans, fingerling potato, capers, lemon, & olive oil. It wasn’t until we mentioned to our server our strong disappointment with the dish, as we were expecting either Tuna Crudo or Seared Tuna, that our server told us that he usually steers guests away from it. It also had zero seasoning, and boy did it need it. It also feels like this dish should have automatically been served with crackers.
The Amberjack Crudo ($25) with watermelon radish, bulls blood micro greens, & herb oil needed a combo-sauce or a stronger flavored oil, as it was very bland as-is. Luckily not a fishy-fish, but still lackluster for their only fish crudo on the menu.
For the Mains, they were already sold out of the 24oz T-bone Steak ($82) when we arrived, and the server recommended the Pork Chop. The generous portion of Pork Chop ($66) came with crispy fingerling potatoes, roasted shallots, olives, capers, garlic, balsamic vinegar, & fresh herbs. The balsamic was more of a thick, sweet, heavy glaze, and it overpowered the meat. Personally, we both felt it was over-sauced.
Unique vibes with cozy outdoor seating, great atmosphere, and delicious drinks make this spot a must-visit for memorable experiences!

I’m leaving this bad review here so that Great White hopefully fixes its delivery and customer service. I’ve been a customer for many years and I will say: they have the worst service ever when it comes to ordering food through their app as they frequently forget to add the items (sides, sauces, key ingredients - you name it) you paid extra for. This time I ordered an avocado breakfast burrito that came without avocado, bacon and any sauce (it was just basically eggs, tortilla and potatoes). I paid $6 for 2 pieces of halloumi cheese. $2 for additional gluten free bread that didn’t come. Last few times? No bacon in the Great White breaky, no extra sauces (that we paid for) etc. You try to call any of their numbers and no member ever picks up. You email [email protected] and they simply don’t answer. There’s no refund option on their app. Their customer service is simply nonexistent.
Quirky local gem with huge slices and unique pie creations, perfect for late-night cravings and takeout vibes.

We had the gluten free that was great.
They don’t make the dough but it was still great
The guy at the front, that toke the order was super nice patient and kind.
We will come back for sure!
Although we were very excited to try this restaurant, given the great reviews and gluten free options, the experience was a HUGE disappointment. The pizza was like eating frozen cardboard. I would’ve preferred a frozen pizza over this, 100 times over. It was just tasteless and textureless. In addition, the waiting staff had something to be desired. From having to ask for water refills to getting the kitten towel in our pizza and removing topping from half a slice, we were not impressed. Save your money and enjoy a pizza from dominos (I promise it tastes better than this and won’t cost you 25 a pizza).

The food, service, and outdoor dining ambiance were all fantastic. We came here for dinner because it's close to my moms place in MDR and they allow her to bring her emotional support dog on the patio. I would come back again for all the other reasons. In addition, I'm gluten-free, and they were very accommodating! One of the items I had was gluten-free pasta (I always ask for cooked well=soft) with their pesto cream sauce as a side. Very delicious!

Located near the Venice Pier, The cow’s end has nothing but a pleasant smell of coffee and delicious food. :)
We stopped here for coffee and because they had gluten-free options on the menu, my wife got a gluten-free avocado toast and a gluten-free donut to go. The staff was very friendly and you could tell this is a place that locals and visitors alike spend time and enjoy the ambience.
When we were there, we met friendly dogs and local people.

Their gluten free bread is amazing! Some of the best I’ve ever had. I loved their BATA (a version of BLT). The music was way too loud, but drinks and food were good, and the waitress was knowledgeable of gluten free dietary restrictions! I would love to go back.
The most amazing gluten free ice cream options at salt & straw.
It was well worth the travel to get ice cream
Loved the unique flavours, definitely recommend.

We love this place! If you're in Venice & spending time in Abbot Kinney, you should consider eating at Greenleaf! Delicious food, tons of vegan & Gluten free choices, plenty of seating (a really cool patio) & kind staff! Also a relaxed environment & great pricing (a difficult find on Abbot Kinney). Make this your next stop!

If you're celiac or have a gluten allergy, don't let the title fool you! There are plenty of gluten-free options. I have been here a ton of times and have never gotten sick. The wait staff is all friendly and knowledgeable about food allergies. They comply with asking to be extra careful. The keto plate and the grain bowl are great options for breakfast and the chicken is SOO good as are all the veggie sides. Love it here. Also, the restaurant is very popular, but even at 10:30 on a weekend the wait is never TOO long. The coffee is GREAT and you can bring your dog!
Expect a lively vibe with standout drinks, unique mezcals, and an atmosphere perfect for a fun night out with friends!

Impeccable service and delicious food & drinks. We were a group of 8 and everything was amazing from beginning to end. It was most of our first time here and we will all certainly be back. The smoked trout dip, tuna carpaccio, kanpachi, and duck were the highlights. Most items were gluten free which I so appreciated. Highly recommend for food, service and vibes. Thanks for taking care of us!

Busy little place. I recommend ordering ahead. My son is a big fan and most of the sandwiches. I tried the vegetarian eggplant Parmesan. It was delicious. My daughter got the caprese with gluten free bread. She gave it a thumbs up. My mom has had a breakfast sandwich which was good too. Great place near the boardwalk for a sandwich. Eggplant fries with tomato sauce was the best.

My kid who can’t eat gluten aways wanted to try to gluten free fish and chips, finally had the time to drive to the boardwalk to try The Wee Chippy. Paid 18 bucks to park, walked over, only to find there are no gluten free fish and chips. Told they’re having a supplier issue. How about removing it from your menu if it isn’t available?

My sister was visiting and found this place on a gluten friendly app it had great reviews and many GF options. We arrived without a reservation but were still greeted with a smile and shown to a couple of tables for walk-ins.
After a few minutes, Sidney came and introduced himself to take our drink order. Sidney was met with a berage of questions about the menu being GF. Sidney let us know that the restaurant had decided to go away from the Gluten friendly menu at least 6 months ago. He did, however, take the time to go through the menu with my sister althewhile suggesting some amazing selections from the daily specials. They still have some really great GF options, and my sister was very pleased with the meal that she had. The classic California roll made with blue crab and the Philly roll were perfect. We also had a few other rolls, including the tiger roll (gf), the Rick James, and the girlfriend jeans. all of our selections were very appealing and tasted excellent. Sidney was exceptional throughout the evening and is one of the reasons why I will be returning to this restaurant, with a reservation, of course.

Love that they make their own cashew milk! a i’ve been trying to find a place that does this so I’m so happy to find this one! Definitely on the pricier end but what’s new in LA😅I got an iced cashew milk decaf latte and really liked it! Even thorough it was decaf, it was delicious! The nut milk is pretty dense so I wasn’t able to drink a lot of it but definitely happy with the service and quality. They also have gluten-free pastries which I definitely want to try next time.

I brought my coworkers here a few weeks ago for a company team lunch and everyone had a great time and really enjoyed the food! The portions were large and plentiful, so much so that we were super full and still had leftovers to take home. My favorite dish was the kale salad, which was surprisingly flavorful. The pizzas were also great!
I contacted OSPI ahead of time to make a large party reservation, opting for the lunch time prix fixe menu. The whole process was super smooth, and they were very helpful in helping me choose appropriate dishes based on the dietary restrictions of our group (we had vegetarians and gluten free people, both of whom were accomodated).
My only critique is that the food took quite a while to come out at the start. I expected it to be out sooner since we had a reservation and had ordered a fixed menu, but after being seated, we still had to wait a decent amount, so we were quite hungry. After that, the pacing of the meals could've been slightly faster, but it's understandable because of the large party servings. Otherwise, service was great.
Unfortunately I was too distracted eating to take pictures! The food was delicious!
Friendly service from start to finish! I went in alone and was greeted and served very quickly. I'm gluten free so I asked about gluten free soy sauce and they did have it and I tried to customize a roll and since it wasn't too busy, I was able to do that. Sushi was pretty good, prices were a little on the higher side, it was like 12$ for 1 roll and $3 per avocado roll which had more rice than avocado. It was close to my hotel and I'll definitely keep it in mind as a close option the next time I'm in California for work.

Fantastic Pho, as traveling around the world i must admit that its one of the best Pho i every had. Gluten- and MSG-free and the taste is fresh and delicious 🤤…. Lots of traffic, people picking up their order (while waiting you can play games at the desk). Why not having a seat in or outside and enjoy the nice music and the atmosphere.

1st timer visiting the bestie. Was in need of some really good soup for losing my voice and found this gem!
Since 1994 was all I kept seeing and let’s say that broth proved why they have been around for so long! DELICIOUS broth!
GLUTEN FREE noodles - rice noodles. Ordered two different ramens gluten free to go and enjoyed a hot green tea while I waited.
PARKING IS TERRIBLE - it’s a small lot and very hard to park but hopefully you find a spot.
The ramen is worth it.
Opens at 5pm - could get packed.

Solid spot for food and drinks right on the boardwalk in Venice Beach. They were accommodating for mu gluten free diet. Also, the mojito they gave me was weak but I politely told my server and they corrected the issue promptly with a super stiff mojito so all good there.
I remember the fish and chips being delish when I could eat gluten.
Love how there are two sections to this place, a bright indoor patio area to the right. A classic, dim-lit sushi bar to the left. Truly feels like Japan meets Venice Beach and the best of both worlds can be found here.
Decently priced considering the location. Sushi rolls range from $8-$25 depending on the fish choice. An avocado roll is like $6. I got a sashimi salad, which came loaded with fresh fish. Light and filling, cost $25 after tip and tax.
They have gluten free soy sauce and you can substitute upon request. My friend has a sesame allergy and another friend was gluten sensitive. They subbed the tempura for an extra piece of sashimi in the bento box, which was very kind.
The owner actually came by to ask how we were and to thank us for our visit.
Amazing food, wonderful staff, everything is so fresh and delicious. They also accommodate for gluten free (you can swap pita for cucumbers if you need with your hummus!) Love this place.

I'm so glad this place is still here, as it brings me a lot of nostalgia from my old days living in Venice. It hasn't changed a bit since 2010, which is great. The restaurant is super accommodating to different dietary choices, like vegan and gluten-free, because they make everything from scratch. Loved the hot and sour soup and mapo tofu. Plus even the rice puffs they put on the table are gluten-free! AND, the food was super affordable for the quality and portion size. The female employee who took served on Saturday night was so kind and helpful, and I was thrilled that the vibe was so chill at 5pm (only a few people sitting inside, but many take out orders).
This is the second time I've eaten here and it just keeps getting better. This time I visited for brunch and had an amazing paleo meal.
Gluten and grain free waffle with ham and eggs. It was to die for. My sister ordered the stuffed baked potato and ended up ordering an extra waffle for herself after tasting mine.
The atmosphere is great, very Venice. The food is amazing and creative.
The prices are very reasonable. I highly recommend popping in for a meal. Even just a drink at the full bar is worth a visit.

Very authentic Italian restaurant. We came here with friends and everyone loved their food. I'd recommend making a reservation.
We ordered the scallops and the prosciutto and burrata to start. Both were delicious! For mains I ordered the boar ragu which I thought was phenomenal. Others ordered the squid ink pasta with lobster (one normal and one gluten free) and there was a tagliatelle ragu special with venison. I tasted all and all sauces had deep flavor and the pasta tasted fresh. I'd highly recommend you visit Barrique!
The small size packs a punch with delicious flavors that will keep you coming back for more!

Let me start off by saying that I really love the pizza here but my past few experiences ordering online have left me frustrated! I pre-order my pizza due to having a short lunch and the past few times they haven't been ready with me coming 10 minutes after the scheduled pick up time with them stating it had to be remade each time.
Today, I placed an order online through the app called InKind and immediately received a call stating that they were out of gluten free bread and there was a price difference for that pizza w/o gluten and that I needed to reorder. Note that I don't care about price differences bcuz the pizza lol it can't be that much.
The issue is that it takes 3-5 business days to receive your money back.
Summary: The pizza is amazing but go in and order or try ordering through another service than "InKind" to avoid refund issues and the possibility of them having to remake it if you're in a rush. If you don't mind either of these then kudos to you and bypass this review.
Very nice restaurant, the birria tacos are very good. The staff was considerate to accommodate their menu for my girlfriend who is gluten free and diary free due to allergy.

Extremely incompetent, process-obsessed people at this store who don't care about customers.
I called to ask if I could place an order for a gluten free sandwich on the phone, was told that I could only order online not on the phone, then I explained that there was no option for gluten free bread online. This took them a while to understand but eventually they said I would have to place an order online with the regular bread and then call in on the phone to request gluten free bread. So I went ahead and placed an order online. Then they said actually they'd need to check with their shift leader to see if they'd be able to do that and when they did they told me that I wouldn't be able to do this and could only get gluten free bread by waiting in line in the store. Eventually I was able to convince them to make a one-time exception but they warned me I could never do this (thing they told me to do) again.
It does seem like it'd be smart to let people get gluten free bread placing orders online and they're losing plenty of customers because of this, but ultimately this restaurant doesn't seem to care much about customers and mostly care about process.
I guess they figure don't need to care about customers because their food is pretty good.
Still, it's unfortunate short-term thinking to mistreat customers.
Update: it's not the people in the restaurant's fault. They try their best. The management hates innovation and treating customers well.
