I knocked off a star because the menu was not labeled as to what options could be made gluten free, and our server didn’t give complete information as to what options could be made gluten free either. Always a go-to for me! I called ahead before ordering delivery and the woman on the phone was very accommodating for my celiac. She said the kitchen will change their gloves and use foil on the grill for my order. Gluten free items on the menu are marked!

On the positive side, their gluten free crust and margarita pizza is really good . Wasn't sure if the mozzarella was fresh mozzarella as advertised but either way it was good. Service was good and the ambience is nice, upscale industrial bar. My issue is $30 for a medium pizza is just ridiculous . Like seriously outrageous . Great location! We were fortunate to be given a table right at the front with an uninterrupted view of the waterfront and the New York skyline. The serving staff were friendly and helpful. Unfortunately two of the four main courses our party had chosen were not available and this was only mentioned when the order was placed ... It would have been more helpful if we had been told earlier, i.e. when menus were given to us, the items which were not available. The food was good. One member of our group declared that it was the best gluten free pizza he had ever had. The prices reflect the location as well as the food so are higher than for comparable food elsewhere. The one negative element was that there was only one restroom for all guests and this did not look as if it had been inspected or cleaned recently.

My experience at La Bohemia was mostly positive, but to be honest, it became an unforgettable experience due to the excellent service. We had Anna as our server, and I rarely leave reviews where I mention people by direct name, but I think it’s truly important to note how absolutely on top of everything she is. I have celiac’s disease, and not only was she accommodating, she knew everything on the menu that would or wouldn’t be safe for me to eat. She was extremely patient, and kind which is not always my experience with servers at other restaurants when I have this disease. Although I do wish there were more food options for me, Anna made the experience truly wonderful and easy to navigate. Ultimately, she went above and beyond and I hope she is recognized for that.
