I have celiac disease and this place was great! I chose it because of that, but they had a whole gluten free menu. I haven’t had fried food in a long time, but they have a dedicated fryer and the mozerella sticks are great! Highly recommend.

Absolutely wonderful! My family tried their food for the first time a few days ago to celebrate my daughter‘s (celiac) birthday. I can’t tell you how wonderful it was to see her experience, without any worry, this amazing food. Aside from flat-out rejoicing in the fact that it’s certified gluten-free, the fusion of Indian and Mexican is heaven, and beautifully presented. We returned just 4 days later for a second round, we hadn’t had enough. Tried a different assortment from the menu and found even more new favorites! ( Actually, if everything on the menu blows you away, is it still safe to say they’re favorites?😆) I reached out via email to the owner to congratulate him on this amazing food and he responded personally with a call to thank me. Truly an amazing place and our new favorite restaurant, hands-down!!!

Well said by Emma. As a local as well me and my wife use to love to come here. She is gluten free and we loved the fact that she could get salmon over greens and vegetables. Now with this menu change there is no chance. Prices are sky high I don’t think I can justify 15 dollars for a chicken sandwich :/ even with inflation. If I were to order a side it will be over 20$ for a sandwich and a side. Nachos are $15, the new menu does not match the restaurant. Hopefully things change one day but for now you have lost two more customers. It’s sad because we actually loved this place.

I ordered from the app and got a decaf lavender latte and a cookie. I loved that there was a decaf option as well as the infusions being clearly labeled what was vegan and/or gluten free. I loved that they had some vegan food options as well. The latte was delicious and I would come back again for that if I'm in the area. What was not so great is that, even though I was ordering at 11am, before I would even expect a lunch rush, so many things were sold out. I was hoping to try the vegan BLT and a doughnut but those things were not available. Even the cookie I ordered was not available by the time I got there and I had to settle for another flavor. I would consider meeting a friend here for a morning coffee but not for lunch considering how fast everything sells out.

This place is amazing! The food is delicious and the menu is very accommodating to gluten allergies as well as lots of vegan options. The staff is kind and the atmosphere is really nice!

Colorful venue, great service and clean. They have gluten free options. Our waitress was awesome, very knowledgeable and thoughtful, double checked my order and recommended gf options. My fish taco was great. The chips were so fresh that we finished the entire basket. 😋

I had chicken caprese on gluten free roll. It was so tasty. Then I finished off with gluten free Italian cookies. Yummmm highly recommend you go and get a meal! I will definitely be going back to try a salad or two or three 😎

Food was great! This review is for my first experience which was this past Sunday - so the bar and restaurant was slow, not a lot of people. I can’t really blame them for it looking slow on a Sunday but I imagine the atmosphere is a lot better when there is more people. The style of the bar and dining room is very nice though. Between 4 people we shared 2 appetizers - the Village Nachos w/chicken and the Spinach and Artichoke Dip. The bites of chicken for the nachos was cooked perfectly and overall the nachos were very good (sorry for the blurry photo). I couldn’t stop picking on the Spinach and Artichoke Dip either. For my main, I normally don’t go for alternative proteins or vegetarian or vegan meals but was looking for a lighter option that wasn’t a salad and opted for the Black Bean Burger. I may not be able to give a fair review as I don’t eat black bean burgers often, but I can tell that this was definitely a consciously made black bean burger. Structurally, it mostly held up but bits would occasionally fall off while eating. Not something I took much issue with at all, as I assume there was no egg or breadcrumbs used, possibly keeping it vegan and/or gluten free. I couldn’t tell you exactly how it was made into a patty. The taste however I thought was very good, for me it tasted mostly of cumin. I chose the house “village simple” salad as a side, which I was actually extremely surprised by as the dressing was outstanding for a simple salad in my opinion. I had their Witbier/Wheat Beer - Nit Wit along with my meal which I enjoyed as well. Overall experience was positive. I was surprised that the service seemed a bit slow for how seemingly slow it appeared. I don’t think it interfered that much with my overall experience though, our server was very nice.

BEWARE IF YOU HAVE ALLERGIES!!!! Cornbread was labeled vegan and there was regular milk in it and regular butter on top. The service was not attentive to allergies and does not understand the ramifications of mislabeling a meal as vegan/gluten free. Please be careful if you eat here and have allergies! Do not recommend.

The best carrot cake cupcake I’ve had in a long time. It was perfectly balanced and not overly sweet, just the way I like it. The moment I walked in, I was greeted by the warm aroma of baked goods and an even warmer welcome from the staff. I learned the owner, Karin Giamella, is a Food Network Baking Show winner. Very impressive! Everything is homemade, including their ice cream, and they even offer gluten-free options that are just as tasty. Highly recommend!

The Somerville sr is HUGE. They have so much prepared food of all different kinds. There is a large organic and gluten free section too. Of all of the different grocery store chains, SR has the best baked goods. Hands down better than SandS

I love Dulce! I have been there many times and the people who work there are just so lovely. They have great coffee and the pan de bono is DELICIOUS and a treat for a gluten free person like me. I'm so sad I moved out of town and can't just walk there whenever I want! Can't wait to go back

My friend and I came here for dinner tonight. It is was an awful experience. The restaurant messed up my order (gluten makes me INCREDIBLY sick and there was gluten in my dish…) and then they told me that they would be charging me for it regardless. They did not offer to make it again correctly. They DID offer to wrap it up so that I could take it home!???? Make that make sense. I did not ultimately pay, but I had to stand my ground pretty firmly to make that clear. I was told that if it should happen again, I would be responsible for the bill. I’ve never had such a ridiculous experience in my life. I’m truly appalled. Additionally, my clams were extra fishy and not cleaned well. My friend’s dish was also incorrect…

Biggest and Best selection of Vegan Ice Cream In Somerset County. Extremely delicious. They have Vegan options and Gluten Free options for people like myself and my family, but they also have dairy Ice Cream options as well. We noticed this place on Saturday night when a group of people came out boasting about how delicious the ice cream was. If it weren’t for them, I’m not sure we would have known Fresh was there. A truly hidden gem located on Division Street! Great outdoor seating. Ample indoor seating. Most importantly, a caring knowledgeable staff eager to assist was a welcomed sight! Nice people who know their product. Owners expressed their desire to have a business that appeals to everyone and I believe they do. We have been back twice in 3 days!

I love this place because they are one of the few sushi restaurants in the area that offers gluten free soy sauce and can tell you which rolls are gluten free! Most other sushi restaurants in the area have completely shut me down when inquiring about gluten free options, and don’t even try to understand. Yokohama is amazing for considering dietary restrictions, providing gluten free soy sauce, and as a bonus their prices are great as well. Sushi is always delicious and fresh, and I come here all the time for a reliable, celiac-safe sushi experience!

My husband, son and I were warmly welcomed and enjoyed a lovely dinner. Pitas, regular and gluten free accompanied a red pepper spread to start our meal. The GF pita was a pleasant and appreciated surprise for those who must avoid gluten like myself. I've never had that at any other restaurant. I had an appetizer sampler as my dinner. Creamy, delicious hummus, babaganoush, chubby stuffed grapevine leaves and perfectly fried falafel which was a GF substitute for the cauliflower patties. My husband had the chicken kebab dinner and my son had the King Tut style dinner. Large portions, freshly prepared, perfectly cooked and presented were thoroughly enjoyed by all. Looking forward to our next meal. Thank you King Tut for a wonderful experience.

Wonderful service and food!!! The owner is so very nice. I ordered Kashari and asked him if I can please have the macaroni omitted from the dish being I eat gluten free. He reiterated all the items the dish has in it, and said “ and no macaroni”. We ordered baba ghanoush along with it to take out. He made a joke that he gave me extra macaroni. I knew he was kidding. When I opened the container it smelled amazing! I have had Kashari at other restaurants but here it is the BEST!! Great food, real food, not processed. Very nice man who seems to love what he does. If you like Mediterranean food, it doesn’t get any better. It’s a very small place, but he has tables just outside which is so nice to sit out and people watch. Go grab some food here, you will not be disappointed.

A rainy Saturday afternoon, so few drinks sounded good. Bartender is excellent and other staff friendly. Selected the bottle pictured and not overpriced as other places. First time for the wine and is lively and smooth drinking. Selected charcuterie since it is definitely gluten-free. Bartender informed me that he could provide selections and work around the gluten-free, but what goes better than Italian meats and different types of cheese. I plan to return soon.

Our favorite pizza place! The works pizza is amazing, so many toppings you can feel the weight of the pizza in your hand. Also try the chicken bacon ranch pizza. They have gluten free pizza which is always a nice option too.

I was just there with my husband and I had a gluten-free cupcake. It was amazing!!! Probably the best gluten-free free cupcake I’ve ever had! And the owner, such a sweet young lady shared her story of how baking is her passion and shows through the many desserts and beautiful cakes! I would definitely recommend this place!!!
