Great first experience a the SaltBox. Our server Brandy was very helpful and attentive. The food was absolutely delicious, we both had the crab cakes and split the java chip pie for dessert. I am gluten free so having this many options was a nice surprise. The live music was a pleasant touch. We will definitely be back next time we are back in the area. 10/10

Pricey $49.95 a person. My suggestion is go there on an empty stomach! The crab & shrimp was good, the beef was perfect, very good! I definitely ate everything like a glutenous pig!

Pigmans BBQ. Another winner down here! Even the sauces are all GF. They put it on the ticket that I had a gluten allergy. Zero reaction! Very kind and caring as well!! We'll be back next time we're in town!
Enjoy a calm and relaxing atmosphere with top-notch service and well-prepared dishes, making it a standout choice for a special meal.

They claim to be allergen friendly but server was not aware of gluten free options. My sisters dinner came out with bread on her plate after she explained she has an allergy. Food was good but service was terrible. Only half the table received appetizers and server barely came down to the other end of the table. We waited longer for our server, then for the food to come out. I would understand if it was busy but this was off season. Very disappointing.
Busy spot known for good coffee and a diverse menu, perfect for a quick lunch with helpful staff ready to guide you through options.

I've lived on the OBX my whole life. Henry's has been a constant and reliable breakfast spot. They always have great food and good service.
They just recently got Gluten Free bread which is nice. I got an Omelet which was delicious and my son got the French Toast. The portion sizes are big and very fulfilling. Inside the restaurant there is plenty of seating and a cute little gift shop which is where you pay.
If you ever come down to the OBX be sure to check them out.

3 Tequilas Restaurante Mexicano offers a welcoming atmosphere with friendly staff and a vibrant, family-friendly setting. The menu is extensive, featuring a variety of traditional Mexican dishes, all made with fresh ingredients and bold flavors. Many diners appreciate the generous portions and well-seasoned meals, with favorites like enchiladas, fajitas, and margaritas receiving high praise. The restaurant also accommodates dietary needs, offering gluten-free options clearly marked on the menu. Service is generally attentive, though peak hours can sometimes lead to longer wait times. Overall, it’s a great spot for authentic Mexican cuisine in Kill Devil Hills.

CELIAC HERE! I ordered the gluten free Margherita pizza and it was the best I’ve had in my LIFE! I did not tell them I had celiac (but could have asked) however I had no reaction to the pizza and I will honestly take another 2 hour drive to visit again soon. Thank you!
Quaint with whimsical decor, this cozy spot offers local flavors and a vibrant atmosphere perfect for a memorable outing.

This place was so beautiful! Our experience was so wonderful. We loved that they source their food locally! Having the yellow fin tuna caught out of Wanchese was so nice. The Brie cheese was perfect light appetizer. Our waitress, Courtney, suggested the perfect wine to go with my meal as well as provided us with the gluten free menu. My husband raved about his fillet mignon with the bearinaise sauce. The desserts were also fabulous and the perfect way to finish our wonder night.
Great food, large portions, and good service. Plenty of gluten free options to choose from.
Wished we lived closer, but will make it a point to eat here anytime we come to town.

It’s a walk-in and place your order at the counter type pizza place. Good sweet tea too! We had the Gluten Free pizza with all the meat plus X cheese, peppers and pineapple. They have a bar as well.
Highly recommend this pizza as it was soooo good!

Welcome to Harris Teeter, where grocery shopping feels less like a chore and more like a delightful scavenger hunt with a caffeine boost at the end. This place is the Disneyland of grocery stores—minus the mouse ears but with all the magic.
First off, the stock levels here are legendary. Shelves groaning with fresh produce, aisles bursting with every cereal known to humanity, and a deli section that could make a vegan reconsider. It’s a well-stocked paradise where the only thing you won’t find is an empty shelf.
The staff at Harris Teeter? Friendlier than your grandma’s knitting club. They’re always around to help you find that elusive item on your list or offer a cheerful “hello” as you wander the aisles. Their helpfulness is so consistent, you’d think they were competing for the title of “Employee of the Month” every month.
The selection is top-tier. From artisanal cheeses to organic quinoa, Harris Teeter has something for everyone. Gluten-free, vegan, paleo—you name it, they’ve got it. It's like a buffet where you don't have to worry about double-dipping.
And let’s not forget the pièce de résistance: the in-store Starbucks. Need a caramel macchiato to fuel your shopping spree? They’ve got you covered. It’s the ultimate power-up station, ensuring you tackle your grocery list with the enthusiasm of a kid in a candy store.
In summary, Harris Teeter is a grocery utopia where selection, service, and a side of Starbucks come together in perfect harmony. If grocery stores had a Hall of Fame, this place would be a shoo-in. So grab your cart, your reusable bags, and maybe a latte, and prepare for a shopping experience that’s anything but ordinary.
This charming spot near the beach offers quick service and fantastic portions, making it a go-to for a casual, delicious dining experience.

My husband and I ate here twice while in town. The food was the best tasting and best priced (and we tried some more pricey places that are popular in the area). If you want seafood that is amazing, low key and not crazy expensive eat here! Also I have a gluten allergy and they made my tacos with corn instead of flour and were very accommodating. Will be coming back! I wish we had a place like this where we live.

I love living nearby. I was diagnosed with Celiac disease a couple months ago and finding a place to eat out has been hard.
They always go above and beyond to make sure my meal is gluten free with no cross contamination. I feel confident that they take my allergy seriously and I can eat without worry.
Plus, I'm not sure what they do with the egg drop soup but it's the best I've ever had. I'd be happy with a big bowl of that haha.
Thank you so much!

I am gluten free, and the options were limited and not great. Ordered a burger only to find that they were out of GF buns. Husband’s beer was expensive. He said it was “decent but not a $7 beer.” Atmosphere was akin to a college pub.

Food was great , our server was so nice and fun. I have a hard time at restaurants because of my gluten allergy but they did have menu items marked that were non gluten. The atmosphere is really nice as well. The restaurant was packed and it got a little loud at times but not to bad. We had so much fun and are planning to return on our next trip to OBX ❤️

GLUTEN FREE Kaiser roll and sub roll option! REALLY good sandwiches. We were so happy with our lunch here. Cool vibe and indoor/outdoor shaded seating options. I had the Granny Brie on a GF Kaiser roll. The apples were thinly sliced with generous Brie and layered turkey, crispy bacon and the perfect amount of mayo, lettuce, and tomato.

We had a wonderful experience here. The hibachi chef was entertaining and personal.
Additionally my daughter has celiacs, and when I called to ask what could be done to keep her food gluten free they knew exactly what to do.
Her food was prepared in the kitchen with gluten free soy sauce, and while she couldn’t have the salad she was able to have her own miso soup.
I highly recommend Fuji steakhouse to anyone in the area, and no if you are gluten free they already have a great plan in place.
Vegan options!! The quinoa burger was soooo delicious, they even use a separate fryer for the fries. The only thing id say to improve is make a gluten free bun option for the vegan burgers. So good

1st time stopping in at Sal’s, have driven bye numerous times. It’s a cool little place with a bar and seating for a handful of guests. Ordered our food, had a drink from the bar while we waited, and just hung out. Excellent service and great staff! The food was Excellent, 2 pizzas to go 1 pepperoni, and 1 gluten free veggies. Probably one of the best tasting pizzas I’ve had in quite a while. Will definitely be a returning customer
