Very knowledgeable on the gluten-friendly options. This is the only place I know of in San Antonio that has gluten-friendly chicken fried steak, chicken fried chicken, onion strings, fried mushrooms, and cream gravy. Yes, you heard me right, gluten-friendly gravy. I danced with rapture at the 1st bite of a fried button mushroom gluten-friendly free that i have eaten in over 8 years. Every part of the meal was enjoyed, including the crustless gluten-friendly cheese cake. I dream about their fried mushrooms, so i limit my visites to once a month or every other month. Definitely on my list for a great meal.

Very pleasant experience. The waitress told me “we take allergies very seriously here. We don’t have a seperate GF menu because the majority can be made GF”.
With options for all diets and a vibrant atmosphere, this spot is perfect for everyone looking for a tasty meal and a welcoming vibe.

It was my first time visiting here and the food was excellent. I eat gluten-free & had the nachos and it was delicious. The starters were very helpful, friendly, & knowledgeable. I'll definitely try to be back.

The food is a-MAZ-ing!! Even had gluten-free options that were simply fantastic! We had the Shrimp & Grits and the Bay of Fundy Salmon to share so we could sample each other's food. Mom got the Vice cake and the flavors in it were awesome. Can't wait to come back!!
Wait staff ignorant about food allergies and what's on their menu--led to illness. Despite my asking specifically for a gf menu (which they don't have one for their Sunday's menu) I made sure waitress knew I was allergic to gluten and dairy. She didn't know at all what on the Sunday menu could be made gf, which surprised me, so manager had to come over to let me know. I then ordered from waitress based on manager's info and specified vegan cheese on my migas and lots of extra vegan cheese. Asked the corn tortillas be extra crispy, too. Very specific. Instead got lots of real cheese and didn't realize it til half way done eating it and after asking the manager if it was real cheese which she confirmed it was. I rarely have real cheese so I'm not used to the taste and had to make sure and ask. Also, apparently when you order crispy migas without the vegetables...they give you plain corn tortillas rolled up in aluminum foil on the side instead of cutting them up and cooking them with the eggs. I mean, seriously???? I basically had scrambled eggs w cheese and paid for cold corn tortillas on the side. Had to take benadryl, lactose pills and IB right then and now an hour later my head predictably aches and my face is still hot. Hoping I don't get the usual migraine from dairy. Great way to start a Sunday. Oh, and waitress ignored us completely from then on: no apology, no trying to make it right, no clearing table, no refilling waters-- she just waited on tables all around and ignored us entirely. We had to get up to ask for all above and even to ask for the check from manager. Before leaving I told manager she's the worst waitress I've ever had (shes got dark brown hair with purple colored ends), is dangerous to customers, and since I used to wait tables in college I know what it takes. The manager apologized and tried to make it right by removing my meal from the order and offering a gf cupcake to go (which is only reason for the high 2 stars rating), but she confirmed the waitress is NOT new. In summary, Sunday menu needs to be updated with gf info and staff needs some serious retraining on what their menu is made up of, what good customer service looks like, and the seriousness of food allergies and sensitivities. Place is dangerous until they do.

As someone with gluten and dairy allergies, eating at the airport is something I thought I could never do. La Gloria changed that perspective for me! The waitress was super accommodating about my allergies and was super knowledgeable. Most of the menu is gluten free friendly, which is awesome! Not to mention, the food and margaritas were delicious!! Next time I’m in this airport, I’m going back!

Loved the experience. The cheese course was my favorite. Tried the artichoke spinach and it was exceptional. They have a full gluten free menu that includes breads, desserts, etc.
The meats were high quality. It was a lot for my husband and I when we order 2. I recommend only sharing 1 unless you are starving and want to skip dessert.
Dessert, yum! We did the bananas foster and it was sooooo good. Light caramel flavor.
Chill vibe with great ambiance, attentive service, and a menu packed with delicious options—perfect for any celebration or casual outing!

GO EAT HERE ASAP!! The whole experience was positive from start to finish.
We made a birthday dinner reservation that we needed to push back, and the staff happily accommodated us.
The hostess was very helpful and provided us with the specialty menu, which has a lot of options for gluten-free, lactose/dairy sensitive, vegetarian, and vegan dishes.
We ordered the crab/shrimp stuffed mushrooms, artichoke hearts with hummus, filet mignon & lobster tail, beef steak salad, and trout. They were DELICIOUS, and I highly recommend every one of these dishes!
Shoutout to our server Jonathan for making sure every need and want was taken care of.
We were there past closing, and once we walked outside, we decided to take a few photos even though the lights were dim. The staff saw this and turned the lights up for us. 🥹
TLDR: The interior is elegant but doesn't require you to be dressed up, the staff is so kind, and the food is delicious and reasonably priced. What are you waiting for? Check them out today!

Great spot for a healthy breakfast!
I ordered a pitaya bowl and loved it! Great texture and flavor and very customizable!
Staff is knowledgeable about allergens and with heir guidance I got my bowl without the hemp granola because it is not guaranteed gluten free. I appreciated their transparency and enjoyed my bowl either way.
My vegan friend ordered a smoothie with vegan protein and loved it!
Delicious, healthy, very reasonable price :)

We enjoy everything we order from Mattenga’s. We usually order a variety of pizzas, pizza rolls, cheesy garlic bread, and gluten free pizza, and everything is always cooked perfectly and delivered warm. The toppings are fresh, and the jalapeño ranch sauce is delicious. Overall it ends up being a little more expensive than the pizza chains, but the quality you’re getting is worth it.

Excellent Private Event Room & Bar Service
Recently attended a lecture and mixer; the service before and after was efficient and attentive, with no interruptions to the speaker...
Prior to the event, I had the Cream of Asparagus Soup and a drink at the bar: Service was quick, and modifications were accommodated for Gluten-Free.
Wonderful evening, thank you

Diner Music, Super Fun Menu, Excellent Service
Max and Louie’s is almost always packed; but the staff is always in a groove (maybe it’s the 50s/60s soundtrack?); the service is cheerful and efficient.
The French Toast Grilled Cheese can be made Gluten-Free, so go ahead and order; the omelettes are fantastic; but don’t forget to get a homemade hot chocolate (with real Marshmallow and Cinnamon!)
Highly recommend

It's such a cute place for a quick bite and coffee. Iced teas are delicious. We are gluten-free nerds; they had a chocolate GF scone that was delicious, and they offer GF bread to substitute in your sandwich. Staff is friendly. Clean and well taken care of business. You can tell they take pride in their business.

One of our favorite places to go to for
American/ TX food. Love the Chicken Fried Steak. Usually get it with the gravy on the side. Burgers are great, love the onion rings, and they also have gluten-free options.
Delicious BBQ and sides! One of our favorite places to get BBQ in San Antonio. Love their selection of sauces, too.
Their website lists what is gluten free, and what is not. (Everything is GF except obvious things like mac and cheese, bread. Tell them "no bread" if cross contamination is a problem.)
A cozy gem with fantastic sandwiches and tempting specials, perfect for a delightful lunch experience.

First and last time customers. We had an awful experience. We had called a head to insure they had gluten free crust available and were told they did. So went and ordered our pizzas. The manager waited until after we had ordered (listing to us order BTW) and let us sit and wait for a while with hungry young children and myself being super Pregnant... it's hard work getting young hungry children all set up when your a week away from your due date. Finally getting everything all set up and being able to sit and wait a wait for some time only for him only to come over and tell us that they don't have any gluten free crusts and that the pasta is not safe because they boil the gluten free pasta in the same pot as the regular pasta... What?!? How can you even offer gluten free pasta if you don't have a designated pot? The entire experience was pretty darn awful. I have no idea what the pint of calling a head was. We still left hungry with screaming kids. Never again...

PF Chang's has come a long way with gluten free food prep. As a Celiac, I feel confident eating here now. Three favorites are Mongolian Beef, Pad Thai, and, of course, chicken lettuce wraps. Sign up for their rewards card (not a credit card) and always save a little on your meal. We've saved anywhere from seven to 20 dollars each visit. Plus, their food can't be beat for flavor and serving size. We always have leftovers, especially Pad Thai.
A local favorite for reliable pizza with convenient pickup and delivery options, always ensuring a courteous experience.

Went with family of six on Monday night. Ordered a medium gluten free, large pepperoni/jalapeño, and two cheese slices. The two full pizzas came out after about 35 minutes but it was very busy with a chiefs football game crowd. Two cheese slices never came which were the dinner orders for two people at our table who do not eat meat or like other toppings. We reminded staff several times that two people at our table of six haven't received their food. They could also easily see empty plates. They said they'd check a couple of times and while other food came out around us to other tables, no two slices of cheese pizza. We all ate and chatted while waiting but still no cheese pizza and wait staff stopped checking in.
No help to reimburse for the slices as we finished. No apologies at the table.
When we went to pay check and asked for two slices to be removed. They said they couldn't do it because manager was "busy in the back and only a manager can do it". A manager too busy to provide good customer service.
They made us write a phone number on a post-it so they could call next day to get us reimbursed. Ridiculous.
Update: no phone call. Never reimbursed.

Wonderful and comfortable Italian eatery, lots of options without being overwhelming.
Gluten free options were good and staff were knowledgeable (I'm celiac).
The service was great! The wait staff was very attentive to our family of 3, including a child. The waitress was able to give us vegan and gluten free recommendations for our family. I was so happy that they had gluten free soy sauce as most places do not. We ordered vegetarian sushi rolls, which had a mix of seaweed salad, zuchini, carrots, and asparagus. They were tasty! If you are vegan, make sure to ask for no fried veggies, as they usually have egg battered items in the vegetarian sushi. My son and husband who do not eat gf, had a noodle dish that they enjoyed. We also had cucumber salad and an avocado/cucumber roll. Those were good as well. Overall, I was satisfied with the food and the service.

Gluten-Free is Pricey, but not bad.
Delivery was fast and excellent; but for a small Gluten-Free pizza with three toppings it came out to close to $35 after taxes and fees. 😳
The pizza was delicious, service was good, and delivery was quick, however.

My family and I went to Rooted for their grand opening yesterday and the food was amazing!! I tried the stuffed portabella for the first time and I can’t stop thinking about it. It was 🔥. We also had their legendary lasagna, which has always been a family favorite and I’m so happy my favorite soup (the Zuppa Toscana) is back on the menu!! The ginger ale and lemonade were both fresh and delicious. We finished out our meal with the ricciarelli cookies. These cookies are vegan and gluten free and are some of the best cookies I’ve ever had.
Customer service is also always top notch and the owners are the best. Rooted continues to raise the bar for vegan options and remains my favorite establishment, hands down.

Loved this funky modern place for sushi! The waitress recommended the Bullet Roll, and my review is 100% based on that. It was out of this world. We also had a bento box and spicy tuna roll which were definitely alright, nothing disappointing, but I will be coming back and ordering two Bullet Rolls for myself asap.
The waitress and chef were also willing to adjust the Bento box for my husbands shell fish allergy so that was a huge plus for us as well!
Also, they brought out my own gluten free soy sauce! Didn’t need it for the speciality rolls but was great for my spicy tuna roll.

I really like the place!
We've gone a couple times and haven't been disappointed by the food.
However, the person who was taking our order was very hard to understand and we had to ask many times for them to repeat themselves. I want to say they are not very confident because of having an accent, but I would have understood them better if they spoke up.
The atmosphere is chill but it's always a bit hot/stuffy in there.
I can't say it's fully gluten free because they use things like soy sauce but it's gluten free friendly, and dairy free friendly. Good options for people who are ok with cross contamination.
A cozy, family-run gem where large orders and delightful meals come together effortlessly, leaving everyone feeling right at home.

Had a fantastic experience with Thai 99! We had a party of 15 needing a massive order that same night, and without any hesitation they got the food ready for us! Everything was delicious, made on time and the most important thing was allergy safe! Most of the menu items can be made gluten free. I hope the restaurant sees this and starts to advertise the fact that they are allergy friendly, it’s a big draw in the allergy community! 10/10 so so good! Thank you!

Bit of a wait to get in but well worth it. Delicious food, great drinks, and amazing service from Araceli! Plenty of gluten free options too! Especially enjoyed the Carne Adobada and the Cucumber Martini.
We went here last night for dinner and the food was absolutely delicious! They even have gluten free wood fired pizza which was delicious.
The service however, was absolutely terrible. Our server didn’t know the menu or even have time to answer our questions. We asked three different people for salt and pepper and never got it. Asked again and again for Parmesan cheese and never got it. We finally had to borrow it from another table.
When it was time for dessert we were told they had homemade chocolate gelato. It was actually terrible vanilla ice cream from the grocery store with chocolate syrup on top. Huge disappointment after a delicious dinner.
I will say our server looked like she had tables all over the entire restaurant which leads me to believe the terrible service has more to due with poor management. I really wanted to like this place because of the delicious food but I definitely won’t be dining in if I ever go back.
My daughter and I try to stay gluten free as much as possible and The cauliflower crust here was by far the best my daughter and I have ever had. Thank you! We will be back

Ordered three pizzas, two 12 inch ( one traditional cheese and one gluten free pepperoni) and one 18 inch Don pizza for pick up. I showed up at the time indicated and had to wait 15 minutes for the pizzas. The gluten free pizza was fantastic. The cheese pizza had little to no cheese and was all crust on the edges about 2 inches in, the 18 inch Don had little to no cheese and was just crust about two inches in almost all the way around the pizza and in some places close to 4-5 inches in with NO toppings or cheese. Very disappointed and regretted tipping generously when I prepaid online because the tip was certainl mot earned. Doubt I'll be going back.
