Blackbird Bakery created all of the baked goods for our dessert bar at our wedding - they helped us determine quantities, sizes of platters we would need to rent, and were able to deliver to the venue. I have celiac disease and Heidi, the owner, was very clear that they are not a dedicated gluten free facility. She talked me through their cross-contamination prevention protocols, they have dedicated prep space, kitchen utensils, mixing bowls, etc. I appreciated the thoughtful warning, and as I have eaten there many, many times without getting sick, I felt safe ordering for our wedding. We were able to have a delicious selection of pies, their famous Italian cream cake, cookies, and cupcakes - including some non-gluten free vegan cupcakes for our vegan guests. We were able to go in for a "tasting" of sorts and look through their wedding book of previous events - where we had some cookies and a mezzaluna so I could taste their GF pie crust. If you have a chance, I highly recommend ordering an Italian cream cake or GF pie custom - it will blow your mind! Thank you again Heidi and the Blackbird Team!
Enjoy stunning views and a lovely covered patio while savoring delicious chowder and tempting dishes that keep diners coming back for more!

came here for lunch as the Find Me Gluten Free app had enough reviews to make me think it was safe for someone with celiac disease. I asked our waitress several questions before ordering and she assured me that my prime rib sandwich on a gf bun would be safe. 4 bites in, after I had asked her to double check if the jus was safe, she let me know that the meat itself was basted in jus which had wheat. they brought me out a different sandwich which they rushed but never apologized up until I was leaving. the second sandwich took time to come out. the manager didn’t stop by our table and the waitress didn’t handle the situation well. the kitchen should’ve seen my order flagged as celiac and known not to serve me something with wheat. celiac is an autoimmune disorder where gluten causes damage to your stomach lining. so they essentially poisoned me and didn’t seem all too sorry. they still charged me for my meal and it wasn’t until I told them I shouldn’t have to pay that they comped me and apologized. they entire lunch was very awkward and put a huge damper on the energy of our day celebrating our friends 30th birthday. what a bummer. I was sick the rest of the day. I wouldn’t return.
A cozy coffee house with a charming outdoor area, daily breakfast pastries, and a popular local vibe.

Great small coffee shop! The matcha is really good. Not too busy, since it was Monday. I got my drinks fast and they tasted great! Overall no complaints, although I can see how the place can quickly get crowded and the staff overwhelmed, as per some of the other reviews, especially since I can see it being a popular tourist spot, but today all was great! The lemon lavender donut was pretty tasty, but a little bit on the dryer side, but understandable since it is gluten free as well as vegan. I would still get one again. I will come back next time I am in town for sure!

Great fast casual 100% vegan restaurant with outdoor (covered) seating. My son had no clue that the beef wasn’t actually animal protein. I’ve never had a place that served a vegan Thai tea - and I wish more places did 🤤 My only request would be to mark items as gluten free, if possible.

Second time here and can confidently say that this is a must-visit while on Bainbridge island. The food is reasonably priced and the menu is very diverse. For what it’s worth, we couldn’t make a reservation online but we showed up and got a table for two outside immediately.
As far as the food, we actually came here the day after they changed the menu for the season so lucky us! Attached are pictures of the Thai iced coffee, taro egg rolls (gluten-free but delicious), pineapple rainbow trout, the caramel popcorn bread pudding and the seasonal panna cotta!
A few honorable mentions (no pictures unfortunately!) from our first visit include the soft shell crab roll, the chili lime calamari, and the fire roasted clam!
Enjoy stunning waterfront views and a laid-back vibe, perfect for a relaxing day without the hassle of long waits.

Amazing food, great views and reasonably priced. We went around 1:30p on Sunday and there was no wait. Very gluten friendly and staff is so personable!! Thank you Emily & Henry!!!
If you eat Gluten you MUST get the biscuit. They're pillows of fluffy delight with an incredible raspberry preserve that will haunt my dreams. The sausage & pesto lovers omelet and breakfast burrito were also amazing, but the biscuit and strawberry muffin we had were next level.
A fun spot for a family lunch with quick service and delicious, satisfying dishes—though be prepared for some pricier choices!

Family day on Bainbridge means lunch at Cafe Hitchcock. Even on a busy Saturday we were immediately seated and served. The menu is simple but delightful. Our table ordered the Pastrami sandwich which was nearly a Reuben, an enormous kale salad (yes, kale, it was awesome) a cup of creamy tomato soup, and the Carnivores soup which was a super yummy spicy stew. Service was fast and friendly and we had a lovely time. They were more than accommodating our gluten sensitivity with plenty of options. I’d deduct a half star if I could, though, because I dislike the practice of adding a non-gratuity surcharge to the bill.
A local gem with standout sandwiches that keep people coming back for more, plus speedy service that enhances the overall experience.

I've been in twice. The first time I had the braised beef sandwich on gluten free bread which was absolutely fantastic. Today I had the pear chicken sandwich which was also amazing. Nicholas, the owner, is fast and the service is terrific. Highly recommend.
Perfect for special celebrations, this spot wowed with timely service and delicious catering options that impressed guests of all ages.

I was planning a birthday celebration for my 75-year old husband and decided to cater the event. I contacted Armando at Casa Rojas and I could not have been happier with the results! He spent a lot of time with me discussing my options and giving me information as to the items that were gluten-free and vegetarian for particular guests. Even though he had a much larger event planned the same day, he made sure that my food would be delivered, which it was, at exactly the correct time. I ordered two platters -- the Taquiza and the Pinata -- rice, refried beans, salsa and chips. Everything was absolutely delicious. Both the food and customer service were excellent!

Trattoria Isola is a good example of a high quality restaurant and bar. With a cozy atmosphere and half a dozen tables, you may end up conversing with the table next to you!
The price may be correspondingly high to the quality, but good food is worth the price.
The lobster ravioli was my favorite, but every dish and cocktail was good for my group.
Lastly, our server Tyler was also excellent, and knew which dishes were gluten-free even with it being their first day!
