We threw caution to the wind and wandered down to Italia Lane. And what a fantastic experience! Our host made sure we were warm and cozy outside while we waited for a table sans reservation. Once comfortably seated, we were all drawn into a rowdy and heartfelt rendition of happy birthday for a fellow patron. The food was al denta to perfection, and no complaints from my fussy and gluten intolerant eater, who declared the wood-fired gluten free margarita with a special side of anchovies to be the best he’s ever tasted. Not suitable for coeliacs. I went in after seeing a recent Instagram post saying their fries are in a seperate fryer and seeing reviews about GF options. When I went to order I was told that they put the fried chicken in the fryer too and they only have one toaster for all buns. Disappointing but glad they were honest at least.
