On both occasions I was served by Likitha who created a warm, inviting atmosphere that made me feel at home when so far away from my home in Wales. I find it very challenging to find cafes that have a wide range of sweet treats that cater for my cow milk and wheat intolerance, so I am very pleased to have found a cafe that caters for these intolerances with vegan and wheat free options, that taste delicious! I am celiac and they served me the hamburger in gluten-free bread (be careful: they do not have a separate kitchen and there may be a risk of cross-contamination so it is not suitable for allergy sufferers). A place with cool atmosphere and average food. Sadly, a very strange and rude attitude serving people with intolerances or allergies. I have a dairy and gluten intolerance. The servers told me to check a confusing online allergen menu myself with no guidance rather than answer any question about the menu. Then, we ordered the nachos with yogurt on the side, not an abnormal request. A manager literally came to us to tell us having the yogurt on the side would inherently alter the dish and they couldn't do it. I worked in hospitality for 6+ years and this is absolutely crazy. We were blown away by the arrogance of this, which seems to be decision from the chef, not the FOH. It's not haute cuisine, it's fusion nachos at a chain restaurant. Just put the yogurt on the side. Overall, food is acceptable, nothing remarkable, and the atmosphere is cool - but you would get better allergen service even at the worst of chain pubs. Would not come back.
