⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I wish I could give The Filling Station more than five stars! As someone recently diagnosed with Celiac disease, I’ve developed a deep appreciation for restaurants that truly understand food allergies and an even deeper disappointment with how rare that is. The Filling Station is a breath of fresh air. They take gluten intolerance seriously, with completely separate prep areas and dedicated gluten-free fryers. It’s not just lip service they’ve clearly invested the time and effort to make dining safe and enjoyable. On top of that, they offer seed oil-free options and cook their hand-cut fries in tallow. Everything we had was absolutely delicious. A special shoutout to our server, Canaan, who was not only friendly and attentive but went out of his way to let me know he could offer tips and guidance when I mentioned I was newly navigating Celiac. That kind of care and knowledge makes all the difference. Whether you’re managing food allergies or just looking for a great meal, The Filling Station is worth the visit.

Our family was in town for the week from AZ helping our daughter move in nearby. Both she & her dad are celiac so we tried the GF pizza. They both agreed it was one of the best they ever had. So good they double checked that they got the GF :) We went back again before leaving for the airport. Great food & staff both times!

I ordered the classic vegan burger with vegan cheese on the vegan gluten free bun. While it's the best gluten free bun I've ever had, it would be a MUCH better burger with a regular bun! Personally, I'm not a fan of gluten free and would have really liked just a regular bun. The patty was good but could use more seasoning. The fries are excellent. Definitely get the fries with your burgers!!!

As somebody who has to eat gluten-free I love that this place has so many options and they take it seriously! This is my second time visiting but will definitely not be my last. I love that It is close to home. The food is delicious and everybody there is super friendly and helpful. Things are marked when they can be made gluten-free on the menu so there’s no questioning that they are aware of celiac concerns. Highly recommend thank you for opening such a delicious and accommodating place!

Their food is so delicious and the owners are incredibly kind. I know there are some low ratings because it’s difficult to get orders in but I ensure you their food is well worth the wait (it’s really made with love I swear). I love how inclusive their menu is as well for anyone that is vegan or gluten free. Definitely recommend ❣️

LOVE this place! It’s the only restaurant in the area that has healthy, yummy, regular and gluten free bowls and salads. They also have plant protein in addition to meat. Great hummus and special sauce.

We used Nantucket for our cutting cake at our wedding and mini cupcakes for our rehearsal lunch. We had lemon cake, Raspberry filling, and vanilla buttercream frosting. We needed gluten free as well. Let me just say they HIT IT OUT OF THE PARK with the flavors!! HIGHLY recommend them. The service we received was top notch as well.

The food and sweets here have never disappointed. The pot pies are delicious. You can never go wrong with cake pops and the gluten free carrot cup cake is to die for. On top of that the staff is super friendly and helpful.

I never write reviews but this one deserves it. I am gluten free and have been since I was 9yrs old. I have never had better gluten free pizza in my life. I have loved Buddy’s since they had gluten free and enjoy a Detroit style pizza but if you’ve been looking for something that is literally more nostalgic, this hits the jackpot. It’s a New York style crust but unlike many other places that have a thin crust gf pizza it is not a pre-bought frozen crust. It is homemade and DOUGHY. Not dry at all, not crumbly, simply perfect. It’s also fire roasted and cooked to perfection. My Husband who is not gluten free also said the same about his regular pizza. The atmosphere made me feel like I was at my Nona and Papa’s. Loved it. It was also small and quaint. I love the feel of little mom and pop shops and this one has just that. Our server was Hannah and she was great. Attentive and kind. All around a great experience and I’m bummed I haven’t visited sooner!

Despite the company messing up our tasting TWICE and not being as organized as I would have liked, I went with them anyway because their cake was SO good and reasonably priced. We are from the downriver area and are camping in Mackinaw City. We spent the day in the UP and decided to stop for dinner before heading back to the camper. The food was so good and the service was fast! Which was great for us with a three year old and a 5 month old. My husband is gluten sensitive and he got the lettuce wraps and tomato bisque and said it was delicious! I got the ravioli and it was amazing! Food came out hot and fast and our server was great!! Would definitely recommend and would definitely come back!

We really enjoyed this spot. The ambiance and service were great. Love how you can get a waffle any time of the day, especially a gluten free waffle! My favorite out of the love me tender, ol’ blue eyes, and hashtag (all were ordered gf) was the love me tender. If you are a peanut butter lover like me you have to get this one!

Food was amazing! They were knowledgeable about gluten free and they were willing to accommodate. Once I was told it wasn't gluten free the kitchen then offered to switch it from tortillas to using chips so that I could still get what I wanted. The service was great and the food delicious. If you're in the area give them a try! If you're gluten free they have many choices including multiple desserts! They also have non-alcoholic (mocktails) drinks using zero alcohol spirits. They have something for everyone. You can dine inside or outside.

We did a pick up order and not that far from the place, and when we got there we had to wait like 3 more minutes, but the noodles were hot and fresh! Strange Matter is a must-visit for anyone on Michigan State's campus. This women/queer owned coffee shop offers a delightful selection of beverages and treats, with a special focus on vegan and gluten-free options. The staff, especially Eli and Tristan, are always friendly and helpful. Eli is fantastic to work with for campus events, and Tristan's cheerful demeanor makes every visit a pleasure. If you're visiting campus, be sure to stop by the Union and check out Strange Matter!

The food and the employees were both top-notch!! Every plate our table ordered (about four different dishes) was fantastic and notably, one of the people in our party had both a gluten and a lactose allergy, so she was worried about not having any options for herself, or being a nuisance with potential substitutions for her order. But the waitress pointed out a couple options on the menu that were both gluten and dairy free already, and that’s a huge plus for people who have those dietary restrictions. The butter chicken was incredible, the samosas (both meat and veggie) were also delicious—they come with 3 sauces, all of which were also awesome. The names of the two other entrees our table ordered escape me, but they were also delicious. We also ordered some mango and yogurt (I think ??) drinks and they were, you guessed it, fantastic. I especially can’t wait to come grab them when summer rolls around again. The staff was extremely friendly, very attentive, and even overheard us mentioning it was my sisters birthday, to which they took it upon themselves to play “happy birthday” through the restaurant and then presented each of us with a little rice pudding dessert (which, is the only thing I wasn’t crazy about, but that’s just personally—it was a texture thing and not a flavor thing). Everyone in our party was raving about the food and service for the next couple days. We will definitely be going again and will encouraging our friends to go there!! A great small business to be supporting, you and yours should definitely give them a shot.
