Always look out for the flag on your glutenfree pancake - otherwise it is NOT glutenfree!! Almost ate the wrong by accident. Should have given us a discount for the mix up ..

Happy that this organic Dutch pancake speciality shop had vegan options and the possibility to customise using the Build Your Own Pancake order! Dutch pancakes are different from American ones in that the former are thinner with slightly crispy edges. There was a vegan pancake available made using flour, as well as a vegan and gluten-free pancake made using buckwheat for a healthier take (and slightly nutty fragrance). Vegan options for the toppings included cinnamon-spiced apple filling, chocolate hazelnut sauce, vegan whipped cream, and strawberry or fig jam. I don't have a very sweet tooth so I didn't particularly love this, but was pleased to try a vegan version of this traditional Dutch snack nonetheless! Hope the savoury vegan options can be expanded with some plant-based substitutes too. Would be good to have a non-disposable container for dining-in as well. Located near De 9 Straatjes, Begijnhof, etc.

According to their website: "Cocotte wants to satisfy you in the best possible way. By adapting to your dietary requirements, whether by choice or obligation, Cocotte will suits you. Cocotte can be vegan-friendly, lactose-free, gluten-free or whatever you need. Cocotte Team will be glad to adapt as best as it can to ensure you a precious time!" This was not the case when I was there a week ago, asking if there is a vegan option. There was nothing vegan on the menu, and the staff was unwilling to make an adjustment, so our group of friends had to find some place else to go :( Too bad as the place looks lovely, but definitely not vegan friendly.

The location is unique. The staff friendly and not pushy. There is a wide choice of tasty savory, sweet and specialty pancakes, with options for different types of batter (also four-grain, buckwheat and lactose+gluten-free). There are also starters. Less choice of desserts, which unfortunately always include ice cream. The coffee is very tasty. The toilets are clean.

We had dinner here on Tuesday, February 25. We had: Poffertjes A pancake with goat cheese, apple and honey Two starters as a main course: bread with spread & crispy chicken salad The pancake was nice and thin, tasty and well topped. The poffertjes were very tasty and for my 9 year old daughter there were even too many. The salad was really delicious! Highly recommended. I would include this with the main courses as an alternative for people who might want to eat fewer carbohydrates, for example. Although I don't know how many were in there now. The dishes can also be made gluten-free or lactose-free. Very nice. The staff were very friendly and attentive. Nice people in the service. Just keep the door open and such. Only tip: bread with spreads indicate that it is only brown bread.

I was actually expecting typical Dutch pancakes. What we got were American pancakes. And despite the savory topping, they were sweet. I had the salmon one, my friend the cheese one. I was able to order a lactose- and gluten-free pancake base. But I would have preferred them as sweet pancakes.

The Pannenkoekenboat in Rotterdam is a real highlight for families. During the 75-minute boat trip, you will not only enjoy impressive views of the Rotterdam skyline, but you can also help yourself to the all-you-can-eat pancake buffet.  For the little ones there is a great play area with a ball pit, which provides lots of fun and allows parents to enjoy the meal in a relaxed manner.  The organization on board is top: the tables are assigned in advance, which ensures everything runs smoothly. The staff is friendly and attentive, which makes the stay even more pleasant. Particularly worth mentioning is that special dietary needs are taken into account: gluten-free and vegan pancakes are offered, so everyone gets their money's worth.  Overall, an all-round successful experience for young and old!

They couldn't make the gluten-free pancake lactose-free, contrary to what was stated on the website. Luckily I only have to avoid gluten, but I thought it was worth a warning for guests who have to eliminate lactose in addition to gluten. Apart from that: Really delicious pancakes, and what a huge selection! There is plenty of choice for meat eaters and fish lovers as well as vegetarians. The staff is friendly and polite, and fun to talk to. In addition, there is a large trampoline available for guests. We had a nice dinner here!

A very nice location. Especially for children. The indoor and outdoor playground were very nice and the children enjoyed themselves. We felt that the pancakes were not all freshly made, judging by the sticker we found under one of the pancakes with (probably) the preparation date. The service was great and resolved the issue well. They deserve a big compliment. New pancake and a free drink. There was also quite a choice for people with lactose and gluten intolerance. And if you don't want a pancake you can also get fries, satay or a hamburger. The Halloween pancakes were a great idea for the children.

Best pancake house ever! Really tasty pancakes. And we are not the easiest guests since two of us have to eat gluten-free, and that is no problem here. And the gluten-free pancakes are also super tasty. The service is also very neat and a paradise for children!

The food is delicious with many options to choose from. There ate gluten free, veggie, vegetarian and lactose free options as well! The staff consists of a group of lovely young ladies working along their studies. The sphere is 10/10. Definitely a spot you need to visit if in Groningen. Personally I am not a massive cat person but even I have a great time being there.

Okay, a pancake house.. but what kind? In addition to being a huge entertainment restaurant, you can also eat really delicious food! You can't think of anything you want on a pancake.. they've already made a pancake out of it. Sweet, savoury, a mix of sweet and savoury, it's all there. You see the pancake chefs lined up, baking in their large heavy pans as if it were nothing. We had a delicious meal here. Please note: it is and will remain an attraction for parents & children, so expect that atmosphere and sounds. AND.. also very important to mention, they have the most delicious GLUTEN-FREE pancakes here!

Restaurant has a spacious and modern atmosphere. Looks neat. Service is friendly, but could only be a little sharper on empty glasses. It is striking that the restaurant is virtually empty on a Friday evening just after 6 pm (6 tables occupied). Starters we had chowder and bread, which was wonderfully fresh. Delicious pancakes, great taste and well-filled. Apple strudel pancake tastes like apple strudel and the apple crumb tastes like delicious apple pie. Unfortunately, so much that there was no dessert left. We will definitely come back here, because there is still so much choice on the menu! And photos from other customers are promising. Update 11-11-23, we have been about 4 times now. It remains excellent, even when the place is full, no extraordinary waiting times and very good taste. I would also like to give a plus for offering gluten-free pancakes, almost everything is possible, and from what I understood, I couldn't taste the difference, excellent.

Delicious pancakes! Gluten-free also available, which also tastes excellent. Good service, friendly staff and acceptable waiting times. Entourage resembles a decorated canteen, not very cozy so to speak, but that disappears when you can enjoy delicious pancakes like we did. The dessert was also delicious: home-made pastry cream, with strawberries and whipped cream. It was also possible to order gluten-free pastry cream for my wife. A luxury. Cheers!

Very tasty pancakes, the special was asparagus with salmon. The flammkuchen brie is also recommended if you want something other than pancakes. The children found the oven fries to taste different. Very busy on Saturday so reservations are advised. Nice play area for the older children upstairs and for the little ones there is a play corner downstairs. We had a nice afternoon there with friends. Also for gluten allergy you can go there well. Unfortunately bad weather today but there is plenty to play outside, even a bouncy castle/obstacle course

What a fun place to eat with kids! Immediately a coloring page upon arrival, great. A real fairytale atmosphere, moving gnomes everywhere and a cozy fireplace. There is also a small ball pit inside. It also looks very nice outside. Pancakes were fine, very nice that there is so much choice of gluten- and dairy-free pancakes. Service smooth and friendly. We will definitely come back!

Nice place to eat pancakes. You sit in a square, between the trees next to the Catholic church. I had a gluten-free banana pancake. And, it was quite tasty. I also got 2, because the size was a bit small. That is nice. The pity is: the pancakes are very thin. That is disappointing. Especially for the prices. I was with 4 others, and they had the same opinion about the taste and the thinness. We also got our pancakes at different times, there was a lot of time in between. In addition, I had a ginger tea that is really of a high standard: lots of ginger and beautiful decoration! Furthermore, the service was very nice. The boy helped us well, and was genuinely nice. All in all a great experience.

It's been a while, but on January 27 we had a really delicious meal in this pancake restaurant. We were received very hospitably and guided to our table. What struck us is that it had a beautiful old-fashioned appearance. The card looked great. There was plenty of choice. Also for people with a gluten allergy. It really was truly choice stress. Even a starter and dessert was possible here. Highly recommended. We had a delicious meal. After eating a starter, main course and a delicious cup of hot chocolate with whipped cream, it was time to go home. We will definitely come back here more often.

My boyfriend and I really appreciate the menu where we have quite a lot of choice of gluten-free pancakes. It is also nice to be able to make adjustments to the orders. There is no fuss at all and our allergens are treated with certainty and respect. It is very cozy and hospitable and for us always an option to eat after a day at Efteling. The prices are also friendly and it is wonderful to see those local specialties. It is nice to see how local productions are used. For me it gives a nice value to the identity of D'n Berepot.

The food was filling, but so is a dry sandwich. My pancake was a bite of dough with poorly spread toppings. The toppings were tasty though. The carpaccio was far from a traditional carpaccio, but nevertheless very tasty. Highlight of the evening. However, the dessert was THE downside. One of my friends has a gluten allergy. He asked an employee what desserts were gluten-free. According to her, nothing was gluten-free, after which she made the comment: "gluten is milk, right?". Which is really not possible for someone who works in the catering industry. It seems logical to me that someone in the catering industry knows the difference between gluten and lactose allergy. She then goes to the kitchen to ask what kind of gluten-free desserts they have and comes back saying that only the sorbet is gluten-free. So that's just ordered. Afterwards I asked a manager what happened and it turned out that a large part of the desserts could be made gluten-free. The manager then has a conversation with us where she acts quite condescending and does not offer any apologies. Presumably due to the fact that we are eighteen. Avoid this place if you have a gluten allergy. Otherwise you can just about get by
