Gluten free options. I was told to come here but to be honest, it isn’t anything special. Definitely over priced for what we got. The poor server was the only one and she seemed to have the whole restaurant. She was very kind. food was meh. not memorable.

I had the Rueben, very small gf bread with two slices of pastrami and could barely see the sauerkraut. Not worth the money, for $16 it’s all you get. I paid extra for a pickle, it was rubbery and I couldn’t bite through the skin.

We had a truly outstanding experience at Garfinkel’s in Vail. The location is beautiful with a great view, and the atmosphere is welcoming—but what stood out most was the exceptional service and care we received.
Our server, Maggie, was incredibly kind and attentive. As soon as we mentioned our severe gluten and dairy allergies, she immediately brought over the manager, Mike, who went above and beyond. He sat down with us personally, carefully reviewed the menu, and explained in detail what options were safe and how the kitchen could modify and prepare them to avoid any cross-contamination.
We ordered a burger and nachos, both of which were not only delicious but safely prepared. The entire staff handled our dietary needs with a level of seriousness and attention to detail that we rarely experience, even in allergy-aware establishments.
For anyone with severe food allergies, we wholeheartedly recommend Garfinkel’s. Their commitment to safety, combined with genuine hospitality, makes this a standout spot in Vail. We are incredibly grateful and look forward to returning.

We ordered takeout here twice last week (so can’t comment on the service or atmosphere really), but the pizza here is awesome.
Also for those celiacs out there, my wife said the gluten free pizza was amongst the best she’s had (and she didn’t get sick). Pro-tip… the mozzarella sticks here are 50% cheaper and significantly better than the other options in lionshead. Our 4 year old refuses to eat anything else at the moment, so we sampled about 4-5 different options of these while we were there, and this was easily the best option.

Amazing family-owned pizza place. We called ahead to find out how their gluten-free pizza is prepared and were told there is a separate preparation area! What a rarity! As a celiac, I am often wary of eating out because of the risk of having a reaction from cross-contamination. This fantastic family addressed my concerns and ensured I was fully aware of the whole process.

We were genuinely excited to dine at Chasing Rabbit in Vail, especially given the beautifully designed space and the friendly, attentive staff. We ordered a vegan orecchiette dish with gluten-free pasta due to severe food allergies, and we made sure to communicate clearly and respectfully that we required strict precautions to avoid cross-contamination.
To their credit, the team was courteous and understanding, and even the chef came out to speak with us directly, which we truly appreciated. Unfortunately, despite these efforts, we experienced a serious allergic reaction and food-related intoxication after the meal—likely due to gluten cross-contamination.
While the atmosphere and service were commendable, we must warn that this restaurant is not a safe option for individuals with gluten or food allergies. Cross-contamination remains a significant risk, and based on our experience, their kitchen protocols may not be sufficient to protect those with serious dietary restrictions.
We hope Chasing Rabbit will take further steps to enhance their allergy safety procedures. For now, we advise those with food allergies to proceed with caution when considering dining here.
