Had a work night dinner with some out of country guests and oh my goodness did this restaurant went above and beyond. Attentive service, fully could accommodate the menu for each dietary allergy (dairy and gluten), and had an amazing variety of options from land sea and farm. A bit of a spend but it was worth it for a lovely night out, and the ambiance was divine.
Tabule has always been my favourite restaurant, my top choice for lunch in the neighborhood.
The menu offers a variety of healthy options including gluten free items. The staff here are all pleasant and helpful especially Mina. I look forward to see her there every time.
WOULD NOT RECOMMEND FOR GLUTEN FREE
$2 surcharge for the smallest piece of gluten free bread I've seen in 15 years - this coupled with the fact their homemade fries are done in the same oil as items containing wheat so I couldn't have them. I even asked for a second slice of bread and was told I couldn't have it.
The brunch should include tea or coffee which was not provided either and still charged.
Also the Shakshouka was too sweet (and too spicy) - the latter I can give some as that can be preference, but why so much sweetness.
For almost $24, no potatoes or drink and a very small slice of bread (which bread is already included in the dish) - Definitely not worth the money in these times.
We had an amazing time celebrating a 40th birthday here. First time diners, based on a recommendation from a friend, and we were not disappointed. The dining space is beautiful, and despite being busy, it was easy to converse with our dining companions. The cocktails offered on the regular menu and a specials menu, were also amazing and highly recommended! The food was phenomenal to say the least. Every option on the Pitmaster’s platter was flavourful and delicious. The service staff were knowledgeable about a noted gluten allergy - they advised which sauces were not gluten free, served the gluten containing fried chicken option from the Pitmaster’s platter separately, and offered an alternative side salad to fries (which are cooked in a shared fryer). We were grateful for their expertise which contributed to another safe and delicious dining experience. We will definitely dine here again!
In the last 30 years, they added a handful of vegan options and some gluten-free items. Aside from that, the menu hasn’t changed, you know exactly what you’re going to get, and it’ll always be delicious served by friendly staff.
Came here for a friends bday dinner and truly loved it. My friend has celiac and is pregnant at the moment, and when we ordered the chef’s menu, everything was tailored to her sensitivities. The staff was lovely, drinks were great, really good experience all around.

Khan was an amazing and attentive server . He took extra care to ensure our order was gluten free.
The food was super good and they added crushed chips to the bowls. I liked that there is a gluten free tortilla option and that they have mango salsa.
The staff was super nice and an overall great experience!
Warm and Welcoming Atmosphere:
From the moment I stepped through the door, I was greeted by a friendly and attentive staff who made me feel right at home. The pub's interior exudes a cozy and inviting atmosphere, with comfortable seating, dimmed lighting, and a tasteful decor that creates the perfect ambiance for relaxation and conversation.
Creative and Delicious Mocktails:
One of the highlights of this pub experience was their exceptional range of mocktails. The skilled mixologists behind the bar take non-alcoholic beverages to a whole new level. I was pleasantly surprised by the diverse and innovative mocktail menu, offering a wide array of flavors, textures, and presentations. Each mocktail was meticulously crafted and bursting with unique combinations of fresh fruits, herbs, and spices. The drinks were not only visually stunning but also tasted incredible, delivering a refreshing and satisfying experience.
Culinary Excellence:
Beyond their impeccable mocktails, this pub also excels in the culinary department. The menu features an impressive selection of appetizers, main courses, and desserts, all crafted with a creative twist. From delightful small plates to hearty comfort foods, every dish I tried was bursting with flavors and made with high-quality ingredients. Whether you have dietary restrictions or preferences, they offer a variety of vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options, ensuring that everyone can indulge in the deliciousness.
Thoughtful Entertainment Options:
One of the hallmarks of a great pub is the entertainment it provides. Despite being alcohol-free, this pub doesn't fall short in this aspect. They offer a range of thoughtful entertainment options, including live music performances, board games, trivia nights, and even interactive events such as mixology workshops. The pub's calendar is always filled with engaging activities that cater to different interests, making it a perfect spot for a fun night out with friends or a relaxed evening alone.
Exceptional Service:
Last but not least, the service at this pub is truly outstanding. The staff members are attentive, knowledgeable, and passionate about their craft. They take the time to understand your preferences, making thoughtful recommendations and ensuring that every aspect of your visit is enjoyable. Their attention to detail and commitment to customer satisfaction truly sets them apart.
In conclusion, this alcohol-free pub has proven that a vibrant and fulfilling social experience can be enjoyed without alcohol. From the inviting atmosphere to the outstanding mocktails, delicious food, thoughtful entertainment options, and exceptional service, this establishment has left an indelible impression on me. I wholeheartedly recommend this pub to anyone seeking a remarkable, alcohol-free experience that will satisfy all the senses. Bravo to the team for creating such a wonderful haven for those looking to enjoy the social aspects of a pub without alcohol!
I recently stumbled upon the gem that is Old School on Boxing Day 2023, & it turned out to be a delightful surprise. Originally planning to dine elsewhere, fate led me to this charming restaurant.
The atmosphere at Old School is both cheerful & friendly, with a variety of seating options that include a covered, outdoor heated dining area. The decor in each section is equally cute & cozy, creating a warm & inviting ambiance.
As a health & wellness fanatic, discovering a restaurant with a menu that combines comfort food with a creative flair was a real treat. Opting for brunch, I indulged in the Easy-E Breakfast, complete with a side of gluten-free toast. Finding a place that caters to gluten-free options is always a win for me.
To complement the meal, I savoured a delicious Hot Chocolate made with almond milk. It's worth noting that they cater to different dietary preferences, as my partner enjoyed a Hot Chocolate with regular milk topped with decadent chocolate whipped cream.
The overall experience at Old School left a positive impression, & I'm eagerly anticipating a return visit to explore their lunch menu.
If you appreciate a welcoming atmosphere, a creative twist on comfort food, & options for different dietary needs, Old School is certainly worth a visit.
Looking for a Tex-Mex culinary experience? Be sure to visit this restaurant inside Hotel X at 111 Prince's Blvd. Great selection of tequila, signature cocktails and wine list. The menu has gluten free and vegetarian options. Great wrap around views of Lake Ontario.

I recently had a lovely experience at Le Swan!
An intimate and low lit art deco influenced interior make this place ideal for a date, or a more sophisticated outing.
Something I want to mention is the outstanding service I received. I happen to be gluten intolerant, and I was very pleased with how in depth and helpful the waiter was in informing me about which items I could eat, what substitutions could be made, and what I should avoid due to cross contamination. During the entire meal, I felt well taken care of in regards to my gluten intolerance, and was assured multiple times measures were followed to ensure my dish was safe.
The food and drinks themselves were delicious. We had a Salade Niçoise and a Steak Frites, accompanied by orange wine. The Salade Niçoise, while not wholly traditional, tasted very nice. I liked the addition of sundried tomatoes. The sauce was also lovely, but it was definitely different than what I expected (not necessarily a bad thing). As for the steak, it was well cooked, the fries were crispy, and it was accompanied with a delicious seasoned mayo. I do think the potions were rather small for North American standards, but I used to live in France, so they were quite normal if you’re comparing it to that.
Overall I very much enjoyed my meal at Le Swan and I would recommend it!
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Daphne in Toronto, and it was an experience I won’t soon forget. Amanda, the manager, went above and beyond to ensure our visit was exceptional. I had recently suffered a concussion and requested a quieter, more comfortable spot, and Amanda not only accommodated this but made me feel truly cared for.
Our visit was also a celebration of two special birthdays, and Amanda made sure these moments were acknowledged in the most thoughtful way. She surprised us with personalized desserts and drinks that added a unique, celebratory touch to the evening. It’s rare to see such attention to detail and genuine effort to make guests feel special.
On top of that, the restaurant was incredibly accommodating to our table’s dietary needs. With vegetarian, halal, and gluten-free preferences among us, Amanda and her team ensured that everyone had delicious and thoughtful options to enjoy.
From the exceptional service to the warm, welcoming atmosphere, Daphne exceeded all my expectations. It’s a place that truly puts its guests first, and I can’t recommend it enough! Thank you, Amanda, and the entire Daphne team for making our evening so memorable.
We had a delicious meal here after a show at the Royal. It was not terribly busy around 945PM, but because they are open late, no one seemed "annoyed" that we wanted to have dinner. The staff was friendly, nice, and helpful, and the food was DELICIOUS. They were able to accommodate my celiac disease and make many things gluten free. We asked for our food very spicy and I requested that they make the regular fried rice more of a basil fried rice — they delivered!! Everything was delicious and filling. Great value for the price and great vibe inside.
The food here is good. They had gluten free taco shells. No gluten free burrito shells. My two biggest griefs are the service and the drink temperature. They serve beer here, and the beer is mad warm. You guys need to dial your fridges to a colder temperature. The other thing was the service. The lady who served us was not really fit for the role. I watched a customer walk in and wait to be greeted, and ultimately left. Also when I walked in I was in the shop for a few minutes before I got bored of reading the menu and called the rep over. Not a great look. When you have a restaurant you should be greeting everyone who comes in, acknowledging people and sayings I'll be right with you if you're busy. None of this was covered.
Ultimately not a bad spot. Stars for food and the atmosphere is probably great in the summer. Winter they had a heater and it wasnt too cold which was good.
Highly recommend Steve & his gang! Our son & his gf love this place & introduced us. We won't go anywhere else when we're in Toronto to visit our family! It's reasonably priced & super friendly! It's eggcellent! Note: They serve gluten friendly potato hashbrowns :) No toast though.
The service is friendly and efficient. The staff is knowledgeable about the menu and happy to offer recommendations. Overall, my experience at Bar Burrito was enjoyable, and I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a quick and tasty meal. I’ll be returning to try more of their menu!
Though, there was a girl whose name is sapna , she was friendly and she described in details about the menu. I have the celiac allergy, so she prepared my food according to that. The staff was well aware from the food allergies and cross contamination.
We recently held a celebration of life for about 120 people at Earl’s Sherway and were blown away by the event they put on for us. This was with about 2 weeks notice for a Saturday in June event when you can’t find anything not booked for a wedding! But it was the only date that worked for our family and friends.
From the start Alex the event manager was amazing and so helpful. She not only answered all my questions but helped create a fabulous event.
They helped create a menu that had options for all of our guests working around gluten intolerance, seafood and nut allergies. With the help of the chef to guide us it was an amazing menu!
There were so many options of food. Seafood towers that included lobster that was so tender, chimichuri steak boards, sliders, pizza, sushi, veggie and charcuterie platters. I know I’m forgetting things but was amazing. For dessert there was their awesome sticky toffee pudding, cheesecake squares and the most amazing seasonal chocolate banana cream pies that were one of the biggest hits of the night.
The staff definitely made the event. They were so attentive and got drinks to the correct people even though everyone was mingling. Beyond the amazing food it really was the staff that made sure this went off so successfully. We have many family members in the food service industry and many mentioned how the staff were some of the most professional they had come across in a long time.
All our guests young and old had the best time. They all kept coming up to me and raving about it. Those that hadn’t been to an Earl’s before were making plans to go back.
Thanks to all the staff for putting on this amazing event. All our friends and family said there was nothing more my mother loved than a party and we totally sent her out in style and she would have been proud that this was her final party.
I just had one of the worst burgers. Ordered a gluten free grilled chicken burger. The bread is old and couldn’t hold well. The chicken is not fresh either. I will not show up there ever. Thumbs down
Crazy Burger is a burger and bar spot that opened on the Danforth in March 2023. Run by a lovely couple, this place offers over-the-top burgers and sandwiches, and the alcohol to go with it.
Stopped by and grabbed the Monster Mushroom combo. The mushroom burger was good - tasty beef patty, pretty good size and quality, and my favourite part was how generous the mushrooms, cheese and bbq sauce were on the burger. The side fire fries were also good - crispy without being overly fried, tasty enough so you didn't need to lather it in anything.
Place itself is small-ish but well laid out so doesn't feel cramped. There are two wide-screen TVs so you can watch a lot of sports here. Service is efficient and the owners (husband and wife team) are friendly and attentive. Will definitely come back to try their other offerings.
ps: Plant-based burgers are available, and they will also have gluten-free buns soon.
great experience here! staff are super friendly, attentive, and accommodating. all the food is fresh and delicious. great options for vegan and gluten free, and staff are well informed. I will be back many times! :)
Food was good. Service was sort of friendly. They seemed tired lol but trying to be pleasant. I ordered a gluten free burrito. Good size, fairly tasty. Some bites lacked flavor but overall ok. Establishment was clean.
Wonderful addition to the neighbourhood! Food is freshly prepared, and tasty, and staff are very friendly. And it’s fantastic that they offer gluten-friendly options. Will be a regular visitor!
My father and I came for breakfast. I have Celiac Disease, an auto-immune illness to gluten. My father and I expressed this to our server to ensure no cross contamination took place. She was very attentive as were the kitchen staff. She was very curious, hospitable, and diligent. Sincere thank you Hunter's Hut staff for such a lovely experience. I strongly recommend Hunter's Hut.
