100 percent gluten free menu, and good drinks. They have taco specials, I picked the seafood option. The tacos were good, very fancy with the ingredients. I wish I had tried the meat tacos as well. The passion fruit margaritas was also good.
As someone with celiac I really appreciate a dedicated gluten free kitchen. However, the options here are underwhelming. Got the pulled pork fries, which are just fries, pulled pork, and a sauce. Would be much better if there were more ingredients for a little more flavor, and honestly I would hope for a little more for $15
these people know what they are doing! everything is well marked and dedicated GF fryer. kind and thoughtful staff. we make a special trip to Portland, just to get the fried chicken here.
The owner makes everything in house, down the mustard and ketchup. Each item is incredibly flavorful and custom. All items are clearly labeled with allergens, and there is a dedicated GF fryer. I have celiac disease and am very sensitive, I had no problems eating here. Highly recommend trying a mix of everything by way of the sides! Hands down best GF meal we’ve had out in Portland!
Choosing to sit in the bar area during a busy, rainy Saturday was the right move. We were able to immediately get a seat and service was fast despite how busy they were. I tried their gluten free beer and it was really good - so many others are terrible. My husband loves their IPAs so he was in heaven.
Vegan celiac here! I’m lucky Red Robin is my husband’s favorite restaurant, because they always know how to make sure I eat well and safely. Shout out to our server Hana for tonight’s dinner! Our party had a bunch of dietary requirements and she handled it great, went back to the kitchen multiple times to make sure we all got what we needed.
Not my 1st time BUT stayed till l8 2 play TRIVIA w my friend and her hubby!
My friend LOVED LOVED LOVED the gluten free choices and the Gluten Free Beer!
Very busy, in a slightly crowded space, my friend and I waited about 20 minutes for a table. She had the egg scramble and I had a breakfast sandwich. Sides of potatoes were good and grits excellent. My sandwich was decent, with some nice flavors, should have gotten the bacon. The scramble was huge and full of veggies. Waiter was very nice and helpful dealing with my friend's gluten issues. This wasn't my 1st time here, but 1st in a while.
This restaurant has been around forever. My first encounter eating at a Pig 'N Pancake was at the beach. I had the gluten free pancakes and an omelet. They have the best fluffy browned pancakes I have ever had in my life. Coming back home I saw that we have this restaurant close to home! They are open for breakfast and lunch. 7:30-2:30pm. They offer tables, booths and counter seating. Just like an old fashion diner. The waitresses are nice and knowledgeable and quick with the water or coffee refills. The prices are good. And of course they have pigs in the window sills! I recommend this restaurant for a good old fashioned meal.
Phenomenal food and service. All vegan options with consideration for those who need gluten food as well. A perfect place to satisfy that 'diner' itch without the ambient sausage/bacon stank
I was skeptical because I thought this would be asian cuisine (I'm sometimes intimidated by asian ingredients and sauces) but it turned out to be the same food I am used to, just with a subtle twist. I was unsure about the "Yumm sauce" even after the nice employee described it to be so he gave me a sample. It was great! It reminds me of a subtle tangy sauce, like tomatillo without the spice. The other ingredients were exactly what was detailed on the menu, and were very fresh. The flavors came together deliciously! In addition, there are many gluten free options and what the celiac in our party ordered did not cause her to get sick.
So good! Their pepper bacon was delicious and their latte was perfect. They also have some decent gluten free options! And my friend, who's a bit indecisive about food, asked the waitress about her thoughts and she was able to help them make a decision that they really enjoyed! Highly, highly recommend.
The perfect place to take a group with various dietary needs. Classic burger and fries type of place with fantastic options for Gluten Free, Vegan, non-alcoholic and more
Accidentally time traveled to this nostalgic drive-in diner today. It was the bee's knees. If you are in the mood for a no frills burger spot, Skyline is it. The diner has an easy going, casual atmosphere.. no muss..no fuss.. You can literally come here in your pajamas and no one will care. I could hardly believe my eyes to find a diner in the middle of the woods that has gluten free options on the menu. It is true. Soft, fluffy legit burger buns too. I got the cheeseburger, potato salad, and indulged in a cherry coke. Everything was perfect.
This place is frozen in time and serves as a reminder of days gone by. There happened to be a few beautiful classic cars parked outside that gave it an extra vintage vibe. There is booth style seating inside and a lovely covered dining area outside. The friendly servers were busy flying around feeding lots of hungry bellies. We got there early so we got a table right away, but the place filled up quickly. There was a line out the door so I have to hand it the entire staff for getting this many people fed.
I was baffled by some of the other negative reviews. It does prove that you should always give a place a try yourself before believing all the digital trash talk. In an effort to have a local spot's back, I have addressed some of those issues below.
You may read other reviews about the prices, but this place is no different than any other place in America. To be fair, prices have gone up everywhere. This local place has not been spared from inflation and cannot operate at a loss folks. If it is too costly for you, no shame. It is okay to eat somewhere better aligned with your budget, but it is not okay to rate them low based on the price of food. Don't get your poodle skirt in a twist... everything is up.
You may have also seen the post about not enough salt... you know what, there is a salt shaker right there on the table. Give that thing a little shaky shake.
As for the "cup not being pleasing" " poor food presentation" & "frowning servers" .. It is just a cup. It is a good food in a basket. Food services employees are proned to burn out. They are human beings that deserve respect. They are not paid enough to put up with abuse, judgement, or entitlement. If you want fancy smancy food and servers with fake smiles, pretending to like you so you tip them, choose a different restaurant. Or better yet, eat at home. If there is an issue, tell the staff to their face and give them a chance to make it right before blasting them on the internet. People can easily come up with a million complaints, but rarely a single solution.
No, the bathrooms nor the building are wheelchair accessible so plan accordingly. The building is old and unfortunately disabled folks were not considered during construction planning for any building in the 1930s. Ableism and lack of mindfulness from back in the day are not today's owner's fault. If the owner updated the building to ADA standards, those complaining about burger price now would pass all the way out. I am disabled but not confined to a mobility aide 24/7 so I do understand the frustration with older buildings. The good news is that there are to-go and delivery options if you are unable to visit.
If you are still reading, seriously give this place a chance. It is worth going off the beaten path to try.
Excellent food - everything from the fries to the salads is delicious. Great cocktails too! The happy hour is one of the best in town. I do wish there were just a few more gluten-free options, but I can't complain that much because they have this gf warm chocolate brownie that I would sell my soul for.
I wish I could give TOAST 10 stars. This quiet little place is a major find and a major win for my wife and I. We love it for so many reasons. Amazing food with little excellent twist on classic dishes. The gluten-free options are plentiful and delicious as well. The drinks are a happy surprise as they offer spirits. The sweet people that greet us, serve us, get to know us, are simply delightful. We never have a bad experience. They also have outdoor seating. Looking forward for our next visit. Thank you.

Yumm! Healthy fast food. Caters to Vegan and Gluten-free. Bowls, wraps, salads, sandwiches. Service is friendly and fast. Restaurant is bright and clean. Outdoor seating.
Accurate name! This place doesn’t fail to deliver. Awesome gluten free options, in addition to vegetarian. Salad was super, super good, fresh, flavorful, adorned with flowers. Service was also top-tier, they were very attentive, especially to my celiac dietary restrictions, fast, friendly.
Great sit down sandwich meal at airport.. The gluten free bun was buttery and delicious. They offer options like turkey bacon, club sandwiches and reuben with Gluten Free buns, not just burgers. Had to ask about the other options, was, not clear on the menu. We had the club. We appreciated that you could substitute a salad for fries, since the fries aren't cooked in a dedicated fryer. The only Gluten Free dressing available is a Russian-style Thousand Island, but it worked well. Let the staff know bc the standard mustard for the meals is not gluten free, but they can substitute, we had regular mustard on the side. The wait staff was knowledgeable about Gluten Free options.
Stopped in on a busy First Friday, and was thrilled to see they offered gluten-free buns as an option. The manager Haley was super sweet and helping everyone out. Looking forward to eating there again soon!
We had a great dining experience and lovely evening at Clarklewis for girls night. Everything was delicious! We really appreciated the gluten free options and that our waiter was able to answer questions so we wouldn't have to worry about cross contamination for the Celiacs in our group.
Deserving of all its accolades, Coquine is fantastic.
Located in an Arts and Crafts storefront, the atmosphere is unpretentious while tasteful and refined. Very well thought out. The attached market has some chef knives to drool over.
Our dinner started with some of the best oysters I have ever had, perfectly shucked and presented. Followed with a lovely beet salad then a lovely carrot soup with Dungeness crab. Again, the preparation of the crab was perfect.
We moved on to the roast chicken, making good on the principle that if the waiter recommends the chicken, get the chicken!
Can't speak to the other meat options, but the chicken is really good.
Speaking of meat, the menu is annotated for both vegan and gluten free dishes.
We were pretty full, but the meyer lemon tart was a perfect ending.
The restaurant is located in an interesting place. I ubered at night so I didn't see as much as I wanted. The entrance is unassuming. If you're unfamiliar it seems like the wrong place. Take the elevator to the third floor. The restaurant is cozy in a good way. It's upscale but not overly pretentious. The appetizers were shareable and very good. The salad was very pretty almost like a flower using bib lettuce, and good. The entree was the best steak I've had in some years - tender and full of flavor. The crispy potatoes (yukon? and purple) were also very good. As I was eating I thought to myself it reminded me that food could actually be this good. The meal and a frozen mango sorbet dessert were all gluten-friendly. Service was wonderful and attentive with good suggestions. If I ever go back to Portland I wouldn't leave without dining there again. 5+
Best Breakfast Ever. I am tempted to move to Portland just so that I can eat here every day. The sweet potato pancake was mmmmm so yummy. Our server Shane was super pleasant and made some excellent gluten-free free suggestions.
A tastefully decorated spot with clean Everything! 🤤 Fans that keep you cool despite the many bodies in the room. The friendiest most efficient staff! And the fooooooood!! Oh myyyy gooooooooood!!!! The best! And delicious for my vegan and gluten-free friends.
I took one star off atmosphere just because it is so busy it is hard to hear people if they aren't a loud talker. Staff is very good at being loud though.
My family visited Huber’s while in Portland earlier this month. My ex husband lived in Portland for many years so he was eager to take us to this institution.
My son and his girlfriend had the Spanish coffee and it is a must if you come here.
I’m Celiac with a true milk allergy & like always if I eat out am very cautious. Our waiter was so kind (I get a lot of eye rolls when inquiring about allergens/cross contamination etc.) and spoke with the chef to guarantee all that i had was safe. It was delicious.
The vibe is very old school and inviting as soon as you walk through the front doors. I loved looking at all the historical photos of Huber’s and downtown Portland over the years. We sat in the bar at a table. It was full but service was excellent.
We will be back for breakfast the next time we come.
Fun atmosphere, friendly service, good drinks and appetizers. Unfortunately my Cedar Grilled Salmon was under seasoned. The Bacon Cheddar Potatoes were delicious though! My husband thoroughly enjoyed his Bourbon Chicken & Shromp. Ask for freshly cut lemon if you get it with your water like I do - mine was rather sad looking.
Wheelchair rating : 5 stars
Gluten-free rating : 4 stars
All plates were not only delicious but very pretty on the plate.
Server was very nolagable about the ingredients and helped me find some gluten free alternatives that were also delicious.
Outstanding service. The ownership and staff are very good and very friendly. We have a soy and gluten allergy. This is one of the few places in Portland, where they are accommodating for soy and gluten allergies.
They have the best gluten free English muffins I definitely will come back

Update 3/1/2024: sad news. Our go to place will go away in 2 months with the new airport area opening. They wull bebthere but more grab and go vs sitdown. My wife and I were just admiring what a great pre-flight refuge the Country Cat has been for the quality food and comfortable ambience.
Wonderful, quality breakfast. My wife is gluten free for health reasons, so we were pleasantly surprised they had gluten free toast, and they crack fresh eggs. Good service. Will be our stop at PDX airport gates D/E area.
Luis and his crew are amazing! Quality fresh food, he was extra cautious about my celiac disease and went above and beyond. Potato and cheese taquitios with avocado sauce were delicious and the pastor burrito bowl is *chef's kiss*. We will definitely be back anytime we are in town.
Haven't been in years and it surpassed my expectations! Food was fantastic! Love the vibe (lumpy booths and all). We will be back.
Great spot for a little later dinner.(Was open till 11pm on Saturday night).
Has Gluten Free options. I recommend the southern style collard greens (has Vegan too) as they are the best Ive had! Jambalaya great too!
Service (Brittany) was outstanding, food was average but they got all my preferences right, which is rare these days - even well done hash browns! Since I'm gluten free, I was delighted when she suggested other options for the biscuit without my asking. Good option when you're near the airport or your hotel offers only stale bagels or a nutrition bar.
Recently enjoyed HH on the gorgeous patio with friends! The food was wonderful! (Allergy friendly menu - gluten free, dairy free, etc), they have a great mocktail/zero proof drink options as well as beer/wine/cocktails/liquor.
They have a lot of gluten-free options on the menu which is great! I had the shrimp and grits and it was delicious. The staff was super friendly and very attentive. They had a really good cocktail menu and the portions were very generous.
