Went to Fat Head's for dinner and the GF Codfather didn’t disappoint, even threw in a gluten free Ghostfish Brewing Company beer. I can’t tell you the last time my wife had either of those out! She has celiac and is super sensitive and didn’t have any side effects, even today!!

I must say ,it is worth the drive ,must go at least once if not more! I hope to travel back in the future at some point. By far my favorite burger joint, u can pick not only from specific items specified on the menu you have the opportunity to customize your own Burger! They do offer vegetables on the menu however it is limited and they do cater to specific allergies.They offer gluten free bun, if u want a bun. Also offer different meat options. Organic beef, to bison, waygu, elk. . Got to check them out! Find out for yourself, the ONLY disappointment was the in house chips lacked flavor, and the slaw was lacking flavor as well. The service was thorough, on point and great at explaining and answering questions.

As a Celiac there's few places I feel this safe eating at. Gluten-free items are clearly marked on the menu and employees will immediately take note if you state you have an allergy. The chips are in their own fryer, which is wonderful given that many Mexican restaurants have shared fryers that aren't Celiac/ gluten allergy-friendly. I also love the atmosphere (fun, vibrant art and very friendly waitstaff) and the food is DELICIOUS! Prices are very fair for portion size, especially for nachos and bowls. 10/10 recommend!

We just celebrated my sisters birthday and Jamie, our server, managed our large table with efficiency and top notch service. I have a gluten intolerance and everyone was so conscientious that I felt totally comfortable. I had the Mediterranean chicken with the accompanying GF cookie and ice cream and it was delicious. We were kind of find a breakfast place our last day there and we were going to Nikki’s but they were closed and a businessman saw that we were frustrated and recommended the speckled egg in the PGH building Oh my gosh! What an amazing building and the restaurant bar is in the rotunda of the building so you get a great view of the dome inside spectacular view. We ordered breakfast and it was absolutely delicious. I honestly have to say it was one of the best breakfast I’ve ever had dining out, made me fall in love with Pittsburgh , every meal we’ve had was delicious The service was impeccable, very friendly, knowledgeable, and good at recommending food for someone who has a gluten intolerance I had the hen hash with gluten-free toast absolutely delicious!

As a recently diagnosed celiac avoiding dairy, I love stopping at Condado any time I’m in town visiting family. Their menu marks very clearly which items contain gluten & dairy, and the staff is very knowledgeable about food allergies (plus they’re always so friendly!!). I’ve eaten here a few times and never gotten sick. Their delicious gluten free margs, chips, and tacos gives me a sense of normalcy & it’s all so good!

Interesting place that serves meatballs with any meal on the menu. Fantastic options for my friends who are vegetarian, and gluten free! Our server was very pleasant, however she may have been new. Was very slow with getting our drink refills. Also any other restaurant serves a side salad before the main meal. Not here, it came with the meal...

I've had their breakfast and gluten free pizza. Breakfast was omelet and spouse had waffles which we been enjoyed. I'm gluten free so I had the gluten free (celiacs) margherita pizza which was pretty good (wasn't bad, similar crust to other gluten free pizza, solid toppings). I'm not super sensitive with gluten free but didn't feel bad after eating there.

Dined here for the gluten free options. The wait staff shared what was gluten free and I believe it was gluten free. We still got sick from cross contamination. It's too bad really as the food was delicious.

This is the first restaurant I've been to with a concept in pittsburgh, like an actually thought out comfortable restaurant concept, easily the best gluten free bun in pittsburgh (Ive had about 13 burgers here and this is easliy the best I assure you) my burger was made exactly how I wanted, and it was delicious my server mallory was amazing, I got evertything exactly as I wanted it as did my girlfriend. I actually looked at my woman and said, "I want to come here for my birthday," and the only other place I've said that about is the fine french establishment in the city, Paris 66... Come here and bring your family it will be good food and a good time.

My boyfriend is gluten free and we heard they had amazing focaccia. The staff were so accommodating since they had just ran out (which they said it was the very first time it had happened), and decided to send us out a special appetizer that was phenomenal. We were so happy with the food and the price definitely fit the food- well crafted and delicious. Loved our waitress and the chef even came out to apologize for the gf bread. Would come back !

The Federal Galley is a neat spot to grab a bite and try some beers/cocktails. The atmosphere is relaxed. We went before a concert at the stadium, it wasn't too crowded and was within walking distance from our hotel and to the stadium. The 4 different kitchen gives you a great variety of options. There were vegetarian options as well as Gluten free buns available. The beer selection was pretty good (you can see it on untapped) and they had a nice selection of cocktails as well as a full bar. We happened to be there at happy hour and our 4 beers ended up costing us about 18$ The only reason I'm giving it a 4 star instead of 5 is the table was dirty, we had to find napkins and clean it off. It is more like a food court, as you grab your water/ glasses and cutlery yourself. The food was delicious and we will probably go back if we find ourselves in town for a show.

We sat by the bar this time, didn't effect the service at all. Refills on drinks and fries were quick and the burgers were amazing, as always. Best burger chain in America, in my humble opinion. Oh, and they have gluten-free burger rolls if you need them!

All around an excellent experience. We were welcomed at the front door and seated at the requested location in less than 2 minutes. Everything on the gluten free menu sounded delicious. I went with the balsamic salmon and green beans. The meal was perfect!

We went to Point Brugge Cafe on a Thursday around noon and it was packed! Cannot emphasize how well served we were by the waitress at that time. She tried as much as possible for my wife to navigate the menu because of gluten intolerance and even offered to change a few things to accommodate her. The restaurant stays in the quiet neighborhood of Point Breeze. The Carbonnade Flamande was definitely a hit. I ordered the Chicken Milanese which was tasty, but have could have been a tad bigger.

It's a big, tasty yes. Everything was delicious, they also have good gluten free knowledge. We tried the calamri&rock shrimp, swordfish, pork chop, ravioli, Crème Brûlée, cake and ice cream (all desserts). Happy with every choice, amazing Crème Brûlée won the dessert match!

We snagged a last minute reservation on a Saturday night and were seated at a table in the bar area. Our server who was also the bartender was very warm and kind. I am vegan (my partner is not), and our server offered off-menu items to accommodate me, even sharing that his daughter was vegan and gluten free, so he understood. Pittsburgh is a city that doesn’t often understand a vegan (no cheese?!), so this was lovely and refreshing. My partner is a very selective chef, and loved their homemade pasta with meatballs. They commented that this was their favorite meal since moving here. Warm service, kind staff, and great food.

This place has a unique atmosphere that was perfect for our date night. Comfy chairs, great wine and wonderful food. We had the eggplant which was very good and the pistachio pizza (made gluten free) and it was so good we decide to try another one of their pizzas while we were there. You'll want to make a reservation as the place isn't very large. We actually ended up leaving and coming back later with a reservation but the staff was great and 5 stars to the chef!

Walter's is a hidden gem for gluten free. Although there is no marked GF menu, there are a lot of GF options. All meats and sauces are gluten free, and most sides too, except for the Brussels sprouts and fries, which share a fryer. The chicken wings are safe as they contain no flour, but be mindful of the shared fryer. The wait service s approachable and happy to discuss gluten free options, making it a welcoming spot for those with gluten intolerance or celiac. It was delicious hearty BBQ, with brisket tender and nice size servings. Nice flavors but dont expect a particluar state style of bbq and sides, more of a chef custom recipes , but very tasty. Recommend the lean brisket, pulled pork, collard greens and potato salad. Casual Texas bar style atmosphere.

Absolutely phenomenal restaurant. The food was incredible and they have a ton a vegan and gluten free options. Even for the dishes that aren't vegan or GF its face, there are options for many to make it compatible. The digital menu and seamless payment made the experience even better. Would definitely recommend.

This is the first time we’ve come without the entire family, and it was just as perfect! I noted on our reservations that it was our anniversary, and it was so sweet to get a Happy Anniversary greeting when we checked in! Plus, we got a glass of Prosecco with our meal! I’m always impressed at the knowledge of the service since I have Celiac’s—it’s always above and beyond letting me know what I can’t have due to gluten. I always feel safe coming here knowing that I won’t be cross-contaminated! As always, a delicious and accessible meal for someone who usually has to worry about going out to eat—thanks so much!

As others have said, the Fancy Veggie Burger was easily one of the best veggie burgers I’ve ever had. It’s hard to describe the flavor but it was absolutely delicious. Also the gluten free bun was perfect and I’m glad they offer it as many places don’t provide these alternative bun options. Fries cooked in veggie oil were superb and fresh and the rhubarb cocktail was like a slightly boozie lemonade making the meal even more enjoyable.

Pretty good with Celiac's, though last time we went there was a small misunderstanding. Management was really nice about it. Really good food and a really fancy place to eat. It kind of depends on the menu. There's been times when everything looks so good we can't decide, and times when nothing catches your eye.

I had a nice experience. I was seated in a nice lounge area with a fireplace. The music added to the atmosphere. The server was attentive and offered a dish suggestion from the menu. Spinich Ceaser Salad at Spirits & Tales was very good. The chicken I added for protein was flavorful and not overdone. I took a slice of tomato with each bite of spinich. That added a nice sweetness to the yogurt ceaser dressing. It's also gluten free. I'll be back.

This place was recommended to try when visiting Pittsburgh. It was good. The menu was a little hard to understand, but our waitress helped walk us through it. I tried the italian sausage with cheese in a gluten free bun. It was good, but really just a sandwich with coleslaw and fries on it. The fries could’ve used a bit of salt. Honestly I would’ve preferred my sandwich with the fries and coleslaw on the side. The coke though was amazing and incredibly crispy.

We visited for lunch on a Saturday. Service was a bit slow but they seemed understaffed or overwhelmed so understandable. All of our dishes were great, fish and chips, fish tacos with sweet potato fries and a burger with a gluten free bun and mashed potatoes. We also had the shrimp and crab dip which was good as well. Clean restaurant, comfy seating, enjoyed our first time in.

Can’t recommend this enough! We’ve been fans of the Strip District Maggie’s Farm site, and we took my boyfriend’s mom to the South Hills site for her 79th birthday and sat at the bar on a Saturday afternoon. It was post-lunch, so we just had a few drinks each (not food) and it’s as if they rolled out the red carpet for us! What kind humans work here!! Bartender Liz was so accommodating and cheerfully described all of their (amazing) cocktails. After a few drinks, we ordered a crab dip to go (who doesn’t like post-cocktail snacks?) and Chef Addi personally delivered our order and explained the delicious ingredients and how she prepared it and suggestions on serving the dish at home. And when she heard we were celebrating a birthday, she brought out a pumpkin dessert for us to take home (and it was even gluten free since she knew that matters to us)! How kind—thank you!! Then bartenders Liz and Dane cheered while we did a celebratory birthday glitter shot. If reading the menu online re: the spectacular and unique drinks don’t get you to come here, please come for the amazing service! You won’t be disappointed. Can’t wait to come back to have a full meal. Chef Addi, if your food is as delicious as YOU are kind—it’s worth the drive from the North Hills!! I have celiac and don’t eat dairy or meat. My partner is completely “normal” though. This place hooked me up with an amazing vegan egg with gf toast and made breakfast potatoes for me since the hash browns have butter. Everything is delicious! The Berry Bloom Latte is to DIE FOR! We stopped in yesterday just for a coffee as well, so I’ve had it twice now. Our server, Fri made sure we were all set with my restrictions and the whole staff is super helpful and charming. Please visit this place if you’re anywhere near it!

Told waitress I had a gluten allergy. She assured me that it would be taken seriously since two managers were gluten free. They do not have a gluten free menu but said they can make anything into gluten free. I get sketched out when restaurants say that because chances are, they don’t take it seriously. I ordered a burger with gluten free bun and side salad. They brought the plate out with my gluten free bun and a side salad with croutons…. I had to send it back. It came out again almost immediately (within 3 minutes) with a new salad but clearly the same burger. I have celiac. Anything that touches gluten can send me to the hospital. The chicken wing appetizer was nasty. Grill on one side of the wing, they were rubbery and chewy with a squirt of buffalo sauce that didn’t even cover the wings. $60 out the window.

Gluten and soy-free diner here. Last night, my stepdaughter and I had dinner reservations before the Bills/Steelers preseason football game. I advised the restaurant via OpenTable of my dietary restrictions. Thus, both the host and our server, Autumn, were aware, and each advised the kitchen. Given such good communication, I ordered the Whiskey Pickled & Roasted Beet Salad with Goat Cheese as an appetizer. Since the goat cheese was fried, Autumn recommended adding crumbled goat cheese instead. In regards to their house salad dressing, I asked her to double-check the ingredients to make sure that it did not contain soy. Unfortunately, it did, so olive oil was a fine substitute. For my main entree, I selected the Half Roasted Mesquite Chicken, which is one of their normal gluten-free choices. It is served with sautéed spinach, asparagus, and smashed red skins. The chicken was moist, and each of the vegetables was delicious. My stepdaughter thoroughly enjoyed her French Onion Soup and Salmon Caesar Salad. Thank you once again, Autumn, for your attention to detail, and we look forward to dining with you again the next time we visit Pittsburgh.
