Top notch food. Quick and friendly service, Corey was attentive and helpful with modifications. Especially great spot for those with restrictions, options for vegan AND gluten free needs. New favorite: hibiscus green iced tea 🍵🧊
Very lively place, with great menu of creative dishes. Entire menu is gluten free so no worries here. Not your typical Tex-Mex kind of place. I had the birria entree that came with a large bone marrow side with several soft corn tortillas and delicious rice and beans. Very attentive waitstaff who knew the menu inside out. Parking can be a significant issue.
If you’re EVER near Denver, this is a must stop. I live in Colorado Springs and have already warned my partner that their gluten free Nutella pizza will be a pregnancy craving in the future we’re def driving for. 😂 They use gluten removed wheat starch from Italy (celiac safe but not safe for a wheat allergy) and separate prep areas and ovens for gluten free orders. Their fried eggplant is also one of the best meals I’ve ever had from a restaurant. They do have vegan cheese options too.
The food took a long time to arrive, and when it did, my brisket sammy and tater tots were cold. The gluten free bread here is not that good- it’s dry. The candied pork belly wedge and the hotbox mac and cheese were both very good. The restaurant was really cold, and the music is super loud. While the food was decent, all the other factors make it a 3 star.
I ordered one of just about every gluten free appetizer since they have a dedicated fryer. Everything was so delicious and the service was awesome! Also recommend the wedge salad mmmMMmm
Celiacs, be extremely cautious! I was mistakenly served a regular hazy IPA containing gluten after specifically ordering a gluten-free option. As someone with celiac disease, I was excited to enjoy a beer again and trusted the staff to serve the correct one. Unfortunately, they gave me the Steep Hazy IPA instead of the gluten-free Holiday Hazy IPA. Being from out of state, I didn't recognize the difference right away and assumed it was what I ordered.
This kind of mistake isn't minor — consuming gluten can have serious medical consequences for people with celiac disease. The staff did comp my bill, but the error left me very distressed, and there’s no way to know yet what health repercussions I might face.
If you have celiac disease or a gluten intolerance, I strongly recommend exercising extreme caution when ordering here.
Amazing experience, staff was very friendly and the food was delicious. Ordered a skillet pizza since I have never tried one and it was amazing. The triple pepper pizza was also great. They have a great selection of Gluten Free pizzas and cauliflower crust as well. If you're keto this is the pizza place to go to!
Amazing restaurant. Amazing staff! especially server Tami! My wife and I have become definite regulars. My wife also has Celiac Disease so finding a restaurant that’s gluten free and delicious is very difficult. Highly recommend this restaurant!
They have a gluten free menu you can request that also indicates options for avoiding soy, corn and coconut and everything is dairy free and plant based. They have gluten free desserts from local gluten free bakeries and are happy to modify dishes as needed for additional allergens. Their cocktails are also AMAZING!
Loved the Bison Chili and the Bison burger (my friend had the burger and loved it)! Our server was very attentive and the restaurant had a nice, calm vibe. Our server was so nice and informative when we asked her about gluten free items, since my friend has Celiac. A very accommodating restaurant if you have dietary restrictions.
Let me share the good stuff first. The staff is very hard working. The hostess greeted us immediately and was friendly. The food looked good and tasted ok to great. There was a bathroom. We were excited to go bc the one in our area shut down. They have a nice drink selection. The non-alcoholic beverages were great. The service was strong. Now on to the story.
We were told the wait would be 10-15 minutes, and we could wait at the bar or upstairs. We sat at the bar, but the overworked bar tender told us we could not for drinks as not everyone was 21. OK. Outside it is. After about 30-40 minute wait our table was ready.
Why was there a wait? Well, the hostess was our server and the one cleaning the tables. They were understaffed. No worries, it happens. There was only one bartender, so drinks would be slow. The food would be a bit to get there, which makes sense given staffing.
The food looked good. The meatball sub was bland and a little overcooked. Tots were mushy. Neither teenager liked their pizza. The gluten-free pizza looked good and tasted good. However, shortly after, 3 out of 4 were not feeling well. I am not sure if it was the pear cider or the GF pizza, but I had a bad reaction after it. This would be a gluten reaction that is painful and takes a long while to recover. This was around a 2 hour affair, not including wait time. One more thing, just like a lot of places, the prices are much much higher than before. But not abnormal for the area.
I really hope the place turns around and everyone has a better food experience than us. I am sorry to leave a poor review. I normally do not leave reviews like this.
They have a gluten free menu and will serve gluten free orders on different plates, which makes me feel safer. I usually get the gf ginger chicken and broccoli but also love the spicy chicken!
Gluten-free QR code menu wouldn't load, so we left. The waitress said they didn't have a printed gluten-free menu and she wasn't helpful at all with naming their gluten-free menu items.
We've been eating here for at least 5 years, and it's always amazing. Their gluten-free crust is the best anywhere, I like it with the mountain man add jalapeños. Great place with a great mission and the best ingredients in Colorado!

Kids dark in there. Our waiter work hard while all the others stand around talking a lot. The food was good had the prime rib dip and the gluten free bun was sooo yummy and best I ever had! Would recommend this place . And the prices were good too.
The original! All Beau Jos are amazing but this one is just a little bit better. Maybe its the rustic mountain atmosphere or the extra friendly staff but I swear the foods just a little but better. I never make a trip to the area without hitting this place up once of not twice. Best gluten free cheese bread I've ever had, excellent gf and regular pizza, and my favorite the turkey melt or the Canadian club sandwich! This town and this restaurant are a must!
If you’re looking for a quick, convenient bite while exploring downtown Colorado Springs, this is a great spot to stop for breakfast or lunch. Most of the menu can be made gluten free and they have which options can be gluten free marked on the menu. They also indicate when gluten & dairy free is not possible. It is a shared kitchen but they are careful with cross contact, including making the gluten free baked goods with fresh equipment and ingredients and baking at a different time.
Hapa Sushi accommodated our large group with large amounts of sushi and fun! I did find a stink bug crawling across the table this time but I thankfully was able to forget about it and enjoy all the gluten free food options!!!!
Great experience! They have a gluten free menu! I got a burger with gluten free bun and salad. It was delicious! The bartender was very nice and accommodating. Gluten Free dining CO.
Great environment. Service was a bit off: when we first arrived it seemed like we were an annoyance even though hardly anyone was there. We were given dishes that were washed but still dirty with bits of food on them when we sat down, and the lemon slices in our water were old/dirty. When we asked for celiac/GF friendly menus we got only one (not a big deal).
We ordered only one thing as we were already a bit unsure of things. The food we ordered though was top notch (Kakuni Pork Belly). Delicious! Maybe we caught them on an odd day, will come back to give them another shot on another day.

If you’re looking for a higher-end spot to eat in downtown Colorado Springs, this market is a yummy spot. Their menu indicates what dishes can be made gluten free and the staff seemed aware of cross contact. They also have many grab and go options, some of which are gluten free.
I ordered the BLT on gluten free bread. Fast service - I ordered from the Togo window. I was glad for the quick service as my flight was going to leave in 35 minutes. It came in about 5 minutes
Warm and welcoming team. Great food. Very dilly Avgolemono (Lemon Chicken Soup) Greek soup. Gluten free options are available. My partner (not gluten-free) crushed the Lamb Gyro. Great venue, great food and service. A must try.
We ate at Park Burger last week, we went for a casual dinner night out after our daughter's volleyball game, last Wednesday night.
The staff was very friendly, the food was divine!
I had an ahi tuna burger on a gluten free bun.
My husband loved his cob salad and chicken wings and our daughter enjoyed the kids burger alone with her milkshake. We ordered the delicious house potato chip with blue cheese, it was totally delicious.
We had some zero alcohol drinks that were yummy❤️
We will definitely come back for more. Thank you for the wonderful food.
Not Celiac but gluten free and I always find something amazing at this Restaurant. The staff is friendly and willing to make accommodations. Highly recommend
Go on bingo night it’s so fun. 😊
Everything tasted fresh and I love how they have gluten free options! Thank you so much for that. The owner Kevin is the best.
I was visiting from out of town and didn't realize they were going to be closed for a private function. They were super helpful and allowed me to order just ahead of the group anyway. There aren't many celiac safe places to eat, but I make it a point to visit here whenever I am in town!
My husband and I usually order takeout, but their food is delicious! 🤤 You will not be disappointed. My husband is all celiac and cannot eat gluten, and he’s never had any exposure or problems after eating here.
Mike was a great server! The pork shank was was like heaven in my mouth, (they happily accommodate gluten free) And the vibe was chill and swanky! Love this place, Ill be back.
I came here tonight. Had placed a togo order. I'm still starving as my calzone had ingredients I had opted out of. I don't necessarily blame legends, but I'm hungry, and your online ordering app is not adequate. I've eaten here a lot, my sister is gluten free. They accommodate nicely. I'll think twice about spending my money here in the future.
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Black Forest Foods Cafe & Delicatessen in Monument, Colorado, and I can confidently say it’s a gem that deserves a spot on every food lover’s map. This family-owned cafe, nestled in the heart of historic downtown Monument, is a vibrant celebration of fresh, high-quality ingredients and heartfelt hospitality that leaves a lasting impression.
From the moment you step into Black Forest Foods, the character of the place wraps you in warmth. The rustic charm of the decor, paired with a casual, bustling atmosphere, feels like a cozy European eatery transported to the American West. The outdoor patio, perfect for sunny Colorado days, adds a delightful touch for those who want to soak in the fresh air while savoring their meal. The staff’s genuine friendliness and passion for their craft shine through, making you feel like you’re dining at a friend’s home rather than a restaurant.
The food? Nothing short of extraordinary. Every dish is a testament to the care and dedication of founder and chef Dragos, whose Romanian roots infuse the menu with a unique European flair. The ingredients are noticeably fresh—sourced with an uncompromising commitment to quality. Whether it’s the juicy, award-winning burgers that locals rave about or the generous sandwiches stacked with premium meats and cheeses, every bite bursts with flavor. I tried the Gyro Salad, and it was a revelation—crisp vegetables, perfectly seasoned lamb, and a tangy dressing that tied it all together. The homemade soups are soul-warming, and the bakery’s pastries, crafted in-house with European tradition, are a must-try. Their gluten-free options are a thoughtful touch, ensuring everyone can indulge in something delicious.
What sets Black Forest Foods apart is its ability to elevate classic comfort food with a sophisticated twist while keeping it approachable and family-friendly. The Lavazza coffee, served in expertly crafted lattes and espressos, is the perfect complement to their delectable desserts, like the fresh-baked cookies and cakes that practically melt in your mouth. It’s clear that every dish is made with love, from the savory grab-and-go entrées to the vibrant salads.
This local favorite has earned its stellar reputation, with 395 neighborhood faves on Nextdoor and a 4.5-star rating on Yelp. It’s not just a place to eat—it’s a community hub where quality meets heart. Whether you’re a Monument local or just passing through, Black Forest Foods Cafe & Delicatessen is a culinary experience that demands a visit. Trust me, you’ll leave planning your next trip back.
This place is great. I wish you could do half starts because it’s on the high side of four. Very nice place; exposed brick and good seating area. WONDERFUL patio with misters and pet friendly area. The staff is top notch; always friendly and attentive. The burgers are some of the best in the metro area. The classic double will rock your world! Every now and then the fries are a bit floppy. Gluten free and vegetarian options too. Great for young kids and families.
