I have Celiac and this place was outstanding. I immediately let the server know I have Celiac and asked about the dedicated fryer and cross contact and she confirmed and said everything can be made gluten free except for the mushroom 'escargot'. The food was absolutely incredible. We got the slow cheetah drink, sweet corn hummus, moroccan onion dip, Big Eye Tuna & Summer Melon, Feta & Olives, Crispy Potatoes, and Lamb & Beef Kefta. All amazing, and I think our favorite of the lot was the moroccan onion dip. They have house made gluten free crackers for the hummus dips that were very delicious and crunchy. I always wait to write my reviews until the next day when I know I'm not sick from being glutened, and can confirm I did not get glutened here. Wish I took more pics of the food!
I'm gluten free and they took my restriction very seriously and were so thoughtful and kind! There's gluten free pasta and plenty of dishes to choose from. Customer service was 10/10!!
Absolutely loved this place! The food was 100% vegan with a few gluten free options as well! Everything had a great flavour and tasted very fresh! There was limited parking on the street.
The atmosphere was really great! And the waiter was phenomenal. I would definitely love to come back !!
Avli brunch never misses, my boyfriend and I have become regulars. Wait staff is amazing, Dimitri and Alekos always take great care of us. Recommend the dip trio and breakfast sandwich! Also has gluten free pita
Wow! they really have the best vegan gluten free pancakeπ₯!!!
tofu scrambler-eggless was delicious and wholesome. Big portions great value of your money.
Amparo managed to take care of many customers with a very kind attitude, calm, charming, knowledgeable and extremely good on what she does. Eric and the rest of the staff are so friendly.
Despite knowing the dish I wanted couldn't be made gluten free, they accommodated my request and were able to make it as gluten free as possible. The blood orange mimosas were amazing and we didn't have to wait long to get refills on our drinks. The manager came around to check on the tables which made it that much more personable.
My friend and I were visiting for 1 night only in Chicago and stopped here for breakfast. The server we got was AMAZING. Super personable and upbeat! Our waters never got low, trash was never on the table for long, we were checked on often, and we had everything we needed! They also offered gluten free pancakes which were AMAZING!!! I loved them. They were light/easy on the stomach and tasted like regular pancakes. Next time I find myself in Chicago, I will be sure to come back. Please donβt miss an opportunity to dine here! 10/10 yβall are perfect and we love youβ€οΈ
My sister has celiac and hasnβt had fried chicken in over 20 years. She ordered it and was absolutely blown away at how delicious it was. The executive chef came to our table to ask how the meal was for her. The manager spoke with us and was very friendly attentive. She sent us a gluten free dessert to enjoy. This was one of the most enjoyable meals and experience we have ever had. The staff are exceptional.
Admittedly pricey even for a raw vegan restaurant, but overall fantastic raw vegan food! I'm also impressed that they even changed the pizza to make it gluten free using Cassava! My only complaint, albeit a big one, is I wish they used maple syrup or monk fruit instead of agave nectar. Best raw vegan restaurant in Chicago hands down!
This is a beautiful coffee shop and Iβm happy we got to stop in but my only issue is, is that I assumed I would get more help with knowing my options for gluten free drinks. I had email them prior and they told me Iβd be able to get help once I was there so that was my plan but once I got up there and asked if the coffee I wanted was gluten free she wasnβt sure so she went and asked when she came back to me she said it wasnβt. So then I asked her if she could tell me what my options were and then she had to ask them again which they told me I could only get a drink with milk, honey and espresso. They were super busy and I was very rushed. The drink was good but I was expecting a much better experience especially when I was told Iβd have options. They do have gluten free bakery options but I didnβt get any of those and they do share a case with all the other items so keep that in mind. Lovely coffee shop just probably isnβt the best option for someone with a gluten allergy.
Definitely the best meal we've ever ate, our entire lives. Had the gem green salad and it was massive! Didn't even finish it (it was a little dry but the pears were spiced and super delicious) the carrots with the feta are special and we could have just ate them all night...had the bone marrow and was blown away by the flavors. My husband got the short ribs and enjoyed every bite as well. I have celiacs and usually get contamination but felt great after this meal! We would have gotten dessert but had reservations elsewhere, so looking forward to coming back to enjoy a gf dessert.
I also loved the Orgeat me Not cocktail (pictured)
Great customer service. The best, most moist, crave worthy gluten free blueberry muffin I have ever had. I absolutely loved eating it. And will be dreaming of that muffin. Chai tea was tasty, no up-charge for soy milk is awesome.
I have a gluten-sensitivity - wheat allergy. When I came in, asked our waitress if there's any way the chefs can make me a "deconstructed lasagna"; basically all the yumminess of the filling with the GF noodles.
The waitress came back and said the chefs would love to attempt something like that.
It was DELICIOUS!! I will definitely be going back when I'm in Chicago again in a couple of months.
Everyone there was over the top wonderful! The waitress, the host, the chefs, (obviously). The atmosphere was chill and fun.
Pictures are: "deconstructed lasagna", spaghetti & meatball, and encrusted chicken salad.
Really enjoyed this place! Lots of gluten free options - baked goods and substitutions. The staff is knowledgeable and even had a binder of laminated menu items with their allergy items listed. The GF lemon bar was excellent and my son enjoyed the Krispy treat. Highly recommend!
We had ordered combo plate and surprisingly it was enough for two of us for breakfast. Absolutely amazing service and very friendly staff. Gluten free options are also available.
Nice outdoor seating. Food is very good and lots of gluten-free options. Eddie our waiter was awesome, thanks! One recommendation for management: add Lalo or another additive-free tequila. Casamigos is a big seller but objectively not a good quality tequila
Amazing food, experience, and ambiance!
The best gluten free and diary free burger in Chicago and that I have ever had in my lifetime. They have beef and veggie burgers options; both are divine.
The gluten free bread is exceptional!
I have life threatening allergies and feel completely safe eating at Travelle. They take allergies very seriously and go above and beyond to make sure you are happy and enjoy the experience.
One time they made me a mango, honey, vanilla bean, almond milk smoothieβ¦ it was so delicious they should put it on the menu! I canβt duplicate it. It would be a nice sweet treat for the gluten and diary clients.
Travelle is located at the Langham hotel. I recommend a spa day there at Chuan spa then going to the restaurant. It creates a perfect day.
As a gluten and diary free person; itβs very hard to go to a restaurant and feel satisfied. Itβs so special to me that Travelle cares about allergies and being inclusive for all types of people.
Thank you Travelle team and Mr. Zamora for everything you do!
Food was really good and the space was well decorated but the service could have been better. I wanted to try some of their desserts but needed to make sure they were vegetarian. After a long arduous debate with two servers who I had to argue with that vegetarian options are not the same as vegan or gluten free, I was initially told the desserts I wanted had gelatin. When I asked to speak to the chef to confirm, after initially resisting they called the chef who informed them that all desserts were vegetarian. I would expect the restaurant to know the difference between something like this or to confirm from the chef straight away.
Accommodated me with my celiac disease and worked a way out to have the French toast. They used a gf bun. It was delicious! The best French toast I have ever had!
This place is top notch and when you step in this place it's like going back in time to the diners of the 50s πΊπΈ Plus they are up to modern times with gluten-free bread βπΌ
Fantastic food and flavors. I don't usually go for chicken on my pizza. But I'm never not going to order the chicken on my pizza here. They make it taste so good!
Also, GLUTEN FREE pizza crust that's crispy!
Staff is super friendly as well.
