My sister has celiac and I have always hated gf food. But the cinnamon rolls are great and taste maybe even better than the gluten-ful counterpart. My sister was kinda sad that they didn't have any iced coffees but besides that this is a great stop.
Food is extremely healthy though what you see online is not necessarily what is available in person. At the time we went, there was supposedly something going on with the oven to where staff was having to cook one gluten-free pita at a time and the waitress compared the experience of waiting for our orders to waiting for water to boil.
The ingredients for extremely fresh, for sure. Most of the meals, savory. But it was very expensive.
My husband ordered his buffalo burger on the rare side (it needs to be undercooked not to overdry) and it came out medium well, very dry and with some grizzle in it, to boot. The waitress apologized and immediately offered to get a new one made. She said the burger would be compted but then clarified that the new burger would be comped (you were seriously going to charge for getting the order right?).
Overall, decent healthy food but very expensive.
Can Always count on this place for delicious gluten-free food. Sometimes staff are weirdly unfriendly, but from reading other reviews it sounds like they’re just doing their best in what sounds like a toxic place to work. I would also be a downer if the stories here and on Reddit about working here are true. So great food but make sure to tip your server if you go!!
Wonderful bread shop with a large variety of baked goods and neat, local gifts. The employees are friendly, and they provide samples from their "bread board," which highlights a myriad of their available goods. They have gluten free and limited time/seasonal options as well. Great Harvest's hot sandwiches are a MUST; I cannot recommend it enough.
The best place to eat in Santa fe. Make sure you get in line by 4pm for an in person reservation. Many gluten-free options. Almost all the deserts are gluten-free.
Now that I’ve traveled around New Mexico, I realize just how good La Cueva is. Well versed in Gluten-free and helpful ad our daughter had celiac. No nonsense service. They know what they are doing and happy answer questions. I have not had chile relleno in years and this did not disappoint. My 15 year old did not believe me that it is good, but loved the chile relleno here. Very flavorful. My son loved his chimichanga and our 22 year old had the huitlacoche (corn fungus) enchiladas. Great flavor. We had huitlacoche while living in Mexico and were converted.
Lots of cheese! Good but heavy. There is a lot of cheese on the food in NM. I love it but can’t eat this way everyday. 😂
Indoor and outdoor seating.
The food was delicious and the staff is friendly! They have gluten free bread available and free ice cream on tap. I’d recommend the Chipotle Chicken & Avocado Panini.
love this place so much! me and my boyfriend come here all the time. The food is flavorful, unique, and not too sweet or heavy! Plenty of gluten free options for me and the staff is so friendly. Waits can sometimes take a bit and parking is a challenge with the shared parking lot but its well worth it
Casual and homey. Loved the enchiladas and huevos rancheros. Also had the salmon tacos and, tres peaches, wedding cookies, and gluten-free pie. Well priced. Will definitely stop by again!
The best🎉 vegan restaurant my family and I visited so far in the USA🌞👌🌟. We were passing by Santa Fe and needed to choose a place to eat. Being vegetarians, we always try to find good vegan or vegetarian places to eat. And, after finding this restaurant and seeing some bad reviews that people of Indian origin wrote I knew I would love the place: if they think the food isn't spicy🔥🔥 enough for them it means that people CAN actually eat it and not burn the hole in their stomachs and feel all the flavors and shades of different vegetables and varieties of delicious dishes. I have lived in India, and I can relate. Plus, with us we had a doctor who does some energetic healing 🧘♀️🧘 and it was his first experience of eating Vata-Pitta-Kappha balanced food and he said he felt energetically much better after having it (he had some stressfull days prior)- he got the "South Indian Sampler" dish wich is all doshas balansing (the menu said that).
Special thank you for your vegan and gluten free sweets: it's really rare find to get that good of the deserts that are tasty and won't give you a diabetic coma :))). Just enough amount of sugar for me❤️
Very friendly and caring personell🤗.
Will come again to eat here when visiting this beautiful and vibrant city😎💓🫶💫
Seems like the Flying Star has been around for 40 years now...and ABQ staple! Great deserts and a fun place to hang out. Love their breakfasts. It's not their hay day anymore, but still solid. Good gluten free options.
Thankfully they have a lot of gluten-free options. That being said, I find it waaay too expensive for the quality and quantity of the food. Great staff. Food was good but nothing special. $48 for Conchinita Pibil. It was flavorful but not worth the money. My husband had a salad with figs and they were soggy. The chicken paillard was good , but $47. I get in NYC from an excellent place for $28.
Food is fine. Service is great. Cilantro rice is flavorful. We have eaten great food on our trip here in NM in Albuquerque and Taos and paid nothing near this. My son had a$20 Papusa. One single papusa.
Nope.
The Santa Fe Teahouse is the perfect place to enjoy breakfast or lunch while exploring Canyon Road and the historic Eastside. The London Fog teas are incredible (try the Santa Fe fog) and the gluten free scones are the best I've ever had. The whole menu is great and the staff are lovely.
Stopped in to try one of their gluten free pizzas and it was fantastic. We have the Taos and the favor was delicious. The crust - gluten-free- was the best I have tried to date. It was crisp with a slightly chewy center. 10 out of 10. And no issues or gluten reaction today. Perfect.
Love this bakery. They have homemade seasonal syrups for their coffee and an amazing selection of gluten free and vegan pastries. They just made a vanilla vegan cake for my friends sons birthday. With cherry filling and a vegan vanilla buttercream. The kids LOVED it!! And it was BEAUTIFUL!!
Even during the busy breakfast/lunch hour we are always seated quickly. There’s an extensive menu with many gluten free options. Food is delicious and wait staff is quick to check on you. Only downside is the noise level. It’s sometimes difficult to carry on a conversation in certain parts of the restaurant.
Awesome place. They have gluten-free and vegan/vegetarian options for my wife and normal food for us regular folks 😁. Will definitely be going back for another date night. The staff was awesome and took time to answer all my wife's questions. Super awesome place.
It's a great place to hang out, and it used to be one of my favorite places to grab coffee and a treat. I don't mind paying a little more because things cost more. But the quality has really dropped.
But there's always french fries or the other pastry options. I hope they continue to create gluten-free options!

The gluten free pancakes are delicious!. They messed up our order and it was delayed by 30 min.. A little misplacing of our order. But I would come back! The place was clean and we beat the Sunday brunch rush! Great place!
Tons of options for everyone! You can find dairy free, gluten free, vegan options. There are about 10-15 different food options of all types of cuisine. My favorite is the Meso Grill and Kulantro
Buffett lunch for nearly 100 people; fresh salad and hot dishes. Nicely done. Several gluten free options (host and others needed gluten free). The room we were in was quite beautiful, fresh, alive. Felt like we were outside in the sun, but we were inside.
Service staff were outstanding. Always close by without hovering. Quick service.
Food was pretty good.
However, the sopaipilla "walls" were quite thick. Almost like a slice of bread was flattened and deep fried. Not very enjoyable.
Overall, though, one of my better visits to El Pinto.
Usually a line especially on the weekends but it moves at a decent pace. While waiting they have menus available. You order at cashier then sit at your table. Waiter will bring drinks and food. You can add on to order while you eat. When finished they pay. You can order from the bakery on the way out. If they are busy it’s easier to go out of the side door instead of front door.
There are gluten free options available. If you have multiple food allergies you can order from sides where there are many options. There are a lot of drink options as well.
This is a commercial bakery with an embedded restaurant.
Parking is off street, in front of the bakery. You go through the bakery shop to get to the restaurant. There was not wait when we visited on a weekday morning.
We got gluten free blue corn blueberry pancakes with pinions, a side of green chili sausage, and a Mediterranean omelet with smashed breakfast potatoes.
The omelet was very tasty, with a healthy portion of feta and kalamata olives.
The breakfast potatoes, baked then smashed and fried crispy were the star of the show.
The green chili sausage was good but not exceptional.
The blue corn pancakes were tasty, with a reasonable portion of pinions on top. Like many gluten free options, they lacked structural integrity. They were almost as good as the equivalent blue corn pinion pancakes at the Flying Tortilla (which are not gluten free).
There was a window to the commercial bake
ry floor in the dining room where we were seated. We enjoyed watching cinnamon rolls being made during breakfast.
It was a little pricey, $50 breakfast for two, but I felt like I got my money's worth.
The online menu serves no justice compared to going in and catching the vibe. I wanted to order 3 different meals 😩 I don't know how I missed the mac n cheese grilled cheese sandwich but, that's what I ordered thankful that the employee sold me by simply giving me my choices. When I come back to visit this is for sure on my must-eat list. They have gluten-free opinions which works out as well for those who have celiac. Yes. I was very big backed eating this 😆 🤣
It is with great sadness that I rate flying star only 3 stars. several years ago, restaurant had two or three wonderful options for those of us who cannot eat wheat. (Gluten-free pastries) Since then, they have discontinued one and then the other and then another of their gluten-free products, moved them around, switch them out, and now seem to have only one... which is the gluten-free very berry scone. Somehow, in the process have also made the scone almost inedible (!?!) It used to be a little crumbly, a little dry, but basically very tasty and a good substitute for someone who cannot no longer enjoy the finer things in life that containing the wheat grain. But they've changed the recipe or the cooking method or something. (My suspicion is they've cut back butter (again) and perhaps changed some other ingredients?) but the scone is pretty much almost inedible now - unless I take it home, moisten it up with some mist from my kitchen sprayer, and heat it very gently in the microwave. Which totally misses the point of going to the café in the afternoon for a coffee and pastry.
Coffee and pastries used to be one of the greatest joys in my life. Now that my intestines tell me I cannot eat wheat. I relied on some of the wonderful inventions that Flying Star used to have (such as the morning glory muffin. Which was moist and sweet and tasty. And now... gone.) Each time they make a change they seem to cut out one of the things that brings me in... and pretty soon there will be nothing left.
Great place to eat if you have psoriasis or celiac disease best gluten free bread I've had in over 5 years. Will definitely be going back soon employees where awesome as well. Probably one of the best cheap places to eat for me because I have psoriasis and am gluten intolerant will highly recommend Jason's to friends and family. There sandwiches are extraordinary and full of flavor. Also they ask if you have allergies or if it's preferred when ordering gluten free and I liked that because it ensures your getting gluten free very thoughtful to the customer 5 out of 5 stars. Many drink flavors as well including teas and chocolate milk great for families that don't give there kids sodas. And the ice cream was really good for being soft served one of the best soft served ice cream I've ever had very fresh and super cold.
Passing through town and stopped for coffee and breakfast. Happy to see all of the gluten free options. We sat out on patio and Sunday morning bluegrass is where it’s at. It was a lovely experience.
We've been coming here for many many years. They have a gluten-free menu, and vegetarian options as well. The dining area is open with separate sections on the sides for family or get- togethers. Outside, they have a dining patio for warmer weather.
Food was great! Service was amazing and the atmosphere is chill. I am a gluten free human and they have WAFFLES THAT ARE DELICIOUS!! All the food was amazing!
I come here every time I have a conference in Santa Fe and it never disappoints! Even the kids love the food and the options, and the service is always exemplary. They even had gluten free toast!
I love Flying Star, the coffee is great and the pastries are delicious! Lots of great options - salads, sandwiches, and bowls! Gluten free and vegan options as well!
The lattes are affordable and always delicious. They’ve got matcha lattes too. I always get the mocha and a gluten-free muffin, for less than what one drink would cost at some places! Chill environment, wifi, friendly service. They have a big cooler of ready-made lunch foods too. Love Koko 🧡
I have recently been diagnosed with Celiac. This means I cannot have gluten.
As you'd imagine when traveling through the less populated parts of NM, it can be really hard to find safe options for me to eat.
Passion Pie made my girlfriend and I the best breakfast sandwich I've ever had using gluten free waffles.
And their service was extremely friendly and fast.
Also, they were no more expensive than McDonalds (a place I can't even eat at anymore.) If you are in ToR, you need to go eat here.
