As a celiac this is the place to go. I had a severe nearly super man dive over the counter and snatch a chip from me when an order got switched and there was even the chance I could have been cross contaminated.
The staff is wonderful and always on point.
The food is fantastic - get the GF breaded fish tacos.. I am telling you they are excellent.
The drinks are mixed with care and a bit of sass.
One of my favorite places in town.
Phenomenal. The employees were so fun to chat with and very knowledgeable, going as far as to mention use of oats as some people with celiac can’t have gluten free oats.
We got a chocolate muffin and a piece of pumpkin cheesecake. Both were absolutely amazing. They mentioned the cheesecake had a new crust recipe and I don’t know when I’ll stop thinking about it, it’s SO good. And by far the best muffin I’ve had since my celiac diagnosis.
This place was fantastic! I went there for breakfast on a Sunday morning, and loved it. There was plenty of space in the restaurant at this time (but it can get busy) and the service was great. I’m gluten free, so I ordered the blueberry crepe gluten free, and the staff knew what I was talking about and were ready to accommodate. The crumble is not gluten free, and the staff were quick to let me know and suggested an alternative (substitute the crumble for Graham crackers) which was really kind of them not something that I have seen before (though I don’t go out to eat much and am newer at being gluten free). The crepe was also fantastic! The only other thing you should know about them is that the portion sizes are quite large. Overall AB Crepes is 10/10 5 stars!
This place is great! The gluten free pastries are amazing. Vegan grilled cheese was surprisingly so good🤩 service was very nice! I'll definitely come back
My wife and I loved the ciders and food served in this great location. The ciders are delicious and don’t make you feel like you’re just drinking sugar. The food was exceptional too. We loved the fry flight, and my wife appreciated all the gluten free options available. We cannot express how great of a place and how great the service was, highly recommend trying it out.
4.5 average at time of review seems to be about right.
Got a salad and added chicken, was a little overpriced for amount of chicken that was added. But the dressing and peppers added was pretty good.
Other people I was with enjoyed their food as well. One has celiacs and this place seemed to be good for gluten intolerances
Great place to stop for a burger and a beer at a pretty good price. You could get out of there for about $20 if you try. The burgers are great. They have gluten free buns and impossible burgers for the vegan folks.
My favorite breakfast in Bellingham. Their apple pancake is AMAZING, and is enough for 2 or 3 meals. I recently had to become gluten free and they were so accommodating and I was able to get their french toast gf and it was truly wonderful.
Happy we found this place on our way to Canada! We really enjoyed the gluten free avocado toast (very flavorful highly recommend), miso bowl, fresh squeezed OJ, & Elvis smoothie. I enjoyed the decor of the space and can’t wait to go back!!
Waffle Wonderland at Sweet As Waffles!
If Willy Wonka ran a waffle shop, it would definitely be Sweet As Waffles. This place is a sugar-sprinkled dreamland where every waffle comes with a surprise — not just in flavor, but also a tiny toy dino tucked inside like a prehistoric prize. Yes, you read that right: waffles + dinosaurs = instant serotonin.
Their menu? Pure brilliance. Whether you’re in the mood for a sweet classic dripping in strawberries and whipped cream, or a savory stunner stacked with cheese, eggs, and bacon, they’ve got your cravings covered. Bonus: they even cater to our gluten-free friends with crispy, golden GF waffles that are just as magical.
A waffle shop that serves delicious food and gives you a toy with your meal? Sweet As Waffles isn’t just a treat — it’s a whole experience. 10/10 would eat again (and adopt another waffle dino).
The wait staff were wonderful and the breeze from the ocean was incredibly pleasant. Restaurant was a bit loud from the other guests but it's to be expected from a larger space.
A member of my party became ill after we expressed concern about a dietary restriction and cross contamination. This restaurant cooks with batter so it is likely that there was flour in the air and that is what caused the cross contamination but I would not recommend ordering here if you have celiac disease.
Additionally, an order of steak tacos (which is $20.90 for two tacos) was missing sauce on one taco and we didn't realize it in time to correct it because the one without sauce is the one that was eaten first.
I personally enjoyed my order which was the veggie tacos. They were quite tasty and another member of my party enjoyed the wild burger.
My first time here and the food and staff are great! They have Gluten Free options, and everything tastes good. It was a little louder than I'd personally prefer for it being around brunch time as I'm typically still waking up but overall it was great!
My favorite vegan food in Bellingham!! Lots of gluten friendly options too. The service is always so friendly. Thank you!! My fave is the Hidden Dragon with McConaughey style fries, both are spicy but I love it 🔥
Amazing service, the staff was very friendly, the food was incredible I would recommend this place to anyone.
They had some really good gluten free options.
My wife left her bag and they held it for us!
The food here is so delicious! It feeds your soul not just your tummy! I love that they can make many things gluten free, especially dishes that are harder to find gluten free. My favorites are the red curry, pad se ew and pad woon sen! Some of the best Thai food I’ve ever had! The customer service has always been wonderful as well! We’ll be back, many times!!
Been a very long time, however the eggs Benedict were always the best! Service exceptional. Can get espresso, lattes etc as they are cooperative with a coffee shop. Never had a bad breakfast. We are gluten free, celiacs. They are very accommodating.
This is my first time here since they moved and pre-pandemic. The building is great there is an outside protected place semi closed in with heaters. The food is delicious. And they have a sangria with Prosecco that is delicious. The menu it doesn’t look gluten-free but they say they can make almost anything gluten-free. And I had a delicious potato crusted cod that was gluten-free. I can’t wait to go here again
Went to Homeschool BBQ for lunch on a Sunday with past clients and my husband. We were treated warmly by the owner himself and he was able to tell us all about his dishes and their ingredients. One of my past clients is gluten intolerant and the owner was so helpful in advising what she could eat and what she should stay away from. I got the brisket and it was delicious. The sides were perfect. Everyone loved their meal. It is so nice going to a restaurant where you know you’re supporting a local owner and your money is staying in the community. I highly recommend Homeschool BBQ and we will definitely be back again!
A great store that was conveniently located near where we were staying. I was able to pick up some local beer for myself and gluten free stuff for my wife. If we're in the area again and need anything this is where we'll be going!
Amazing Salvadorian food. I got pupusas and they were SO GOOD. Lots of options for my gluten free fellows - basically everything is good since they're made with masa. Will definitely be telling everyone I know to come visit here when they're in the area.
Note that the sign outside says Cuscatlan instead of Morazan!
I frquent Subway often, but the one on Guide Meridian and Laurel is one of the BEST. The customer service is top notch. I eat gluten free and they were the first to ever heat the bread first, it made a HUGE difference it wasn't all dry. Tonight I went there, it was on my way home. She was closing but graciously made me a sandwich. I thanked her for her kindness as I didn't get to eat dinner and it saved me a trip to Bellingham or Ferndale. Amazing customer service!
It was in a weird out of the way location but once there we were greeted by a clean and light atmosphere. The gentleman was quite obviously french and the owner. We got the tiramisu and a box of macarons. the owner had explained each cake to us in concise detail. the tiramisu was amazing! sweet but nothing was over powering. together with tax it was roughly 34$. not a bad price for good baked goods from a small business. will be going back again to try their strawberry and lemon cake next:-) They also had gluten free options.
As a non-coffee drinker, I was walking my dog past Hammerhead as they opened and was happy to find that my pup was welcome on the patio. Brilliant cup of English, breakfast, tea, a gluten-free biscuit, jam and butter and my morning's off to a really good start.
Had a wonderful eggs benedict. It was served on a waffle, which was my choice. Next time I go there I'll probably have the same thing, it was so delicious. My friend had a gluten free savory crepe. 😋
Beautiful cafe, staff is professional and friendly, and the coffee + food is excellent. Camber’s been a necessary stop any time I come to Bellingham for years.
That gluten free focaccia is straight-up delightful, truly the best GF breakfast sandwich I’ve had in recent memory
Caffe Adagio is my absolute favorite coffee shop in Bellingham!
The folks who work there are so friendly and fun to chat with, seeing them brightens up my day :-)
Their soups are truly some of the best I’ve ever had and are made with fresh ingredients from their family farm. The garden breakfast sandwich is also incredible! They have some gluten free pastry options, too.
Prices are very reasonable and there is plenty of seating if you get there before or after the rush. It’s a great place to get work done, meet with friends, or just go on your own :-)
Some of the best espresso in Whatcom County. I love the modernist industrial chic decor where everything is white and light and uses lots of plywood. The baristas are very skilled and kind. They also have a delicious menu, and some gluten free options (their GF biscuit is better than their regular biscuit according to some who eat both).
