Today is my Mom's 75th birthday.
She has food allergies, so I expect to pay more for a good cake.
I ordered a small chocolate cake with vanilla frosting that's also gluten/soy/corn free. With the extra $15 for corn-free powdered sugar I paid $79. I told them it was for a celebration and asked them to put a 75 on top. They told me that, due to the ingredient limitations, they couldn't color the frosting and that the 75 would be white on white. I approved that and told them to just make it look nice.
This is what I got. Did a professional decorator do this? It's yellow (is that even safe to eat based on what they told me on the phone when I ordered?). It's not proportional. It isn't even remotely celebratory looking. I could've done it better myself. I'm so disappointed. 3 stars because at least the cake is good.
We were looking for a place just like this for our meeting- lovely service, decent food, and the ability to chat without a lot of interruptions. Gluten free waffles sealed the deal! It wasn't the best food I've ever had but it did the job and we had a lovely meeting.
A ordered the gluten-free Hawaiian pizza through DoorDash. I never got my 20 oz. Sprite, although that could be a door dash issue. However, my pizza was very overcooked, had minimal toppings, and costed $28. I was so sad, I was excited for pizza. I’ve never written a negative review before.

Absolutely amazing food. Genuine people with phenomial service. Generous portion sizing. I had a gluten free Bulgogi Burger and it BLEW MY MIND!!! So incredibly delicious and the sweet potato fries were great. Outdoor and indoor seating. Indoor seats are pretty sparse but the decor is super clean and welcoming. My celiac partner can eat here without issue too!!
Best gluten free pizza my girlfriend has ever had she says. My more traditional combo pizza was excellent. They didn't charge us a fee to reserve the birthday room and it was super bowl Sunday so that was on the TV. This place is awesome
Absolutely stellar service, tasty food (and very accommodating for Celiacs with dairy allergies!), and a really pleasant atmosphere. A little on the pricy side, but definitely worth it.
Absolutely delicious dinner, super friendly staff (Our waitress was Kendra, and she was so sweet, knowledgeable, and patient with our large group) and Celiac friendly!
Honestly my friend and I were really hyped to come here, she had been here years ago and it was my first time. The wait wasn’t a problem and the host was really nice and probably would have been an excellent server if we were in her section. Ours on the other hand wasn’t terrible but obviously didn’t care about us at all.
She clearly forgot our drinks at the bar when we finally got them 15ish min later they were warm and completely flat. Like if I opened a bottle of champagne the night before and tried to use it for a mimosa the next day.
My food wasn’t bad at all, (except the partially frozen strawberries) it just wasn’t hot and the avocado was that shade of brown from sitting under a heat lamp for too long, disappointing but probably would have been good if I got it fresh. My friend’s food was sooooo bad though. The cheese was rock hard on the edges and the burger was burnt, dry and straight up nasty. Fries tasted old.
The server never asked how anything was and just dropped a check when we still had half of our meal left. We took it as a sign and left.
I really, really wanted to like this place and the one really nice thing I have to say is I often get sick from cross contamination with gluten and I did not get sick here at all. Disappointing overall.
A delicious spot with excellent vegan and gluten free options! We had the Buena dia burrito, the vegan breakfast sandwich with gluten free bread, two Dude's donuts (Homer, churro), and the French press coffee. All of it was exceptional! The dairy free butter spread on the breakfast sandwich was a huge hit.
We recently had the pleasure of stumbling across this charming Colombian restaurant that boasts an array of authentic Colombian delights. From mouthwatering empanadas to delicious Arepas and alfajores, they’ve truly captured the essence of Colombian cuisine. I was particularly impressed by the option of gluten-free empanadas, a delightful surprise.
The restaurant’s attempt to create a retro ambiance added to the overall experience. The only drawback, however, was the price point. My husband and I ended up spending close to $70 for 8 small empanadas and 2 shredded beef arepas, including tips.
In summary, the food here is good, and the uniqueness of the dishes is a strong point. While it may be a bit costly, the culinary journey and flavors you’ll savor are worth it if you’re willing to indulge a bit. If you’re a fan of Colombian cuisine, this restaurant is definitely worth a visit.
Bright space, bright friendly staff and sincere sentiment! Coffee Angels!!! Needed the coffee but needed your sweet words much more!!! Gluten-free options!!! Hurray!!!
Wow, some of the best vegan sandwiches I ever had. The pearl sandwich was delicious. Loved the presentation on a tray with salad. Lots of vegan options in the menu to choose from. They also care to provide gluten free and keto friendly dishes. Great location at 7 seas Brewery to pair up your food with probably some of the best beer in Tacoma/Seattle area.
Their gluten free pastries that are not packaged come in from the bakery in the same boxes as regular pastries and are stored with regular pastries. cross contamination central!
Look the food was decent and the wait staff was great. With that said, I probably will not be back. It was comical how awful the gluten-free bun was here. Two bites in and it had completely disintegrated around my fingers and I was left holding bun crumbs and my chicken grilled patty on one side and pickles on the other. It was lunch time but the place was not very crowded at first glance. You walk in in the kitchens on your right and some seating on the left. The bar is in the back and that seems to be where everybody prefers to sit but it's out of sight from the door and I wondered slowly to the back before I realized who was even working there other than the people in the kitchen. It was just confusing not knowing or being able to see where anybody was from the door. Lastly, they upcharge for everything. Getting a side salad instead of fries was an upcharge Even though the fries have gluten on them. The bun was enough charge which I'm used to but then paying for a credit card was also an upcharge of 4%.
My first time here was to try their gluten free pizza crust, as a good one can be hard to find. Unlike most pizza places which utilize frozen premade gluten free crusts, this was created from dough and I watched it rolled out in front of me. It was delicious and something you don’t get from other GF crusts- fluffy and doughy. Just what I like. I’ve tried it a few times since, it seems to have been made with extremely little care or effort. The crust was pressed down flat all over- no fluffy parts. In two places across from each other, it appeared to be rolled out and flattened down completely with the edges burned black. The next time, the edges were thickly burned like charcoal briquettes and a large portion would have been inedible. It also would have likely impacted the taste of the entire pizza. When I picked it up, I asked “would you eat that”, and they could not reply in good conscience. The next time I ordered, I specifically asked for the crust to be “fluffy” and it was decent, but not as good as the first pizza. I’ve probably ordered once or twice in between and make this request, but most people creating it don’t seem to make an effort. Today, I picked up my order, and I will have to remove at least half the crusts as they are black, inedible and completely charred. I was told “that’s what happens to the gluten free” when it cooks. Well, maybe if it were thicker, it wouldn’t-? Or if there were more care taken during the preparation process or cooking process, it wouldn’t burn-? Would a restaurant expect a customer to eat or pay for an inedible item if it were not gluten free? It’s unreasonable. I regret paying.
My daughter is gluten intolerant and had their pancakes. When the taste was off they readily made her fresh ones we were so grateful. More restaurants need to handle food allergies like IHOP!!!
I love this restaurant! I've been here a couple times and I've never been disappointed! They have a great selection of gluten free options and the staff is so helpful and accommodating! 5 stars :)
This is a nice concept: Vietnamese favorites plus some interesting variations. It's a little difficult to order, they were extremely polite but we couldn't communicate well enough with the person who took our order to ask any questions or modify anything on our order. I get that, if you want authentic international food, you will have to interact with authentic international people. However, if you have allergies, this can be dangerous. I have been to other restaurants that have menus that allow for common allergy substitutions, but not here, you can't even get a side of plain rice. The menu labels things as gluten free which almost definitely are not (i have yet to meet gf wontons), so I would not bring a celiac person here. I ended up not being able to eat the item I ordered, but switched with my husband and ate his instead without issue (it was simple and tasty). So good food, polite service, but not for picky eaters of any kind. (Note: the salmon is some kind of salmon cake, not a piece of fish)
Impeccable service. The food and drinks are so delicious. I highly recommend the crispy maple pork belly! Gluten free options available, so I was thrilled!
Omgoodness!! Our daughter & her husband invited us for breakfast to this awesome lil place because, first of all, it was her birthday & second, it was her FAVORITE place to eat. It's reservation only & I understand why.
From the moment we walked in we were greeted like we were friends. As we were seated, food was coming out & it was beautiful! Yes, I said beautiful. Works of art! The watress explains what the dish is as our mouth waters just looking at it 🤤. I cannot wait to order! We were given water, our choice but not just any water. It was Cucumber, lemon & Lime. Talk about refreshing!
Apparently we're in the season of summer as far as the menu goes. Lucky for us 😀! I couldn't decide what to get but I'm a French toast buff & settled on the Blueberry Bread Pudding French Toast & for good measure topped it off with their famous Candied Bacon 🤤. Ya'll, it comes with REAL maple syrup, whip cream & a lil dollup of vanilla bean ice cream with a strawberry on top 🥰. Hubby ordered (candied) Bacon Wrapped Breakfast Burrito & omgoodness, it was gorgeous! Picture worthy. And was it huge 😯! Weighing in at (I heard) 4lbs? Our son-in-law had the Lobster Bomb. I didn't taste but boy I wanted to! Lol daughter had the Gluten Free Mushroom Xtra Shroom Biscuit Hash. Wow, I've never seen a more beautiful hash in my life. The chef brought out his mushrooms, showed them to everyone. Talk about fresh & colorful! I don't care for mushrooms but when I go back, I want some 😀!
Anyway, have you ever had food that tasted as good as it looked? I can say that I have & it was here @ Tibbitts Fern Hill.
It's a lil pricey, but oh so worth it!!
Great authentic Thai Food! Got the drunken noodle with fresh spring roles (salad roles on the menu) with peanut sauce. Really enjoyed it and their peanut sauce was creamy and flavorful! No MSG with Gluten Free Options. Will go again!
