Thank you SO MUCH for all the gluten free options. Amazing service. Place could do a masterclass on poached eggs (my grandmother would have been very impressed)
Picked up a gluten free lunch today, $30 for 1 meal is kinda ridiculous. I got pasta with the burger and it was an added $8 up charge to get a small portion of gross pasta. The pasta was horrible, very clearly reheated (not well) and definitely a day or 2 old. I could have made Kraft dinner that tasted better than their barely reheated pasta. I don’t know if they changed chefs but their pasta used to be amazing. Very disappointing
I stopped in for a quick lunch during a business trip. It’s always hard to find great vegan cuisine when I am traveling for work.
This location was amazing, their menu had so many great vegan options to choose from along with great substitutions for gluten-free, soy free, etc.
I went with the lemongrass, tofu, beet salad, and I asked to add some capers to it. The server was extremely friendly and had no problem accommodating my request. It was absolutely delicious. I wouldn’t change a single thing about it. I will gladly be back when I am back in the area.
Ambience was great with a fun vibe. Very trendy. Even the bathroom was a lot of fun some cool wallpaper and fun color scheme.
I'm extremely pleased by the staff here.
I had a food allergy I made my server aware of at the start. When they brought my meal, I had about .2 seconds to stare at it before another server swooped in and stole it back stating "Sorry this one isn't gluten free", and the manager appeared from the other side with the correct order. The whole switch out happened in less than 10 seconds.
On top of that, there was no discernable difference to the appearance of the meals, to my eye anyways, so I'm even more impressed by how quick they noticed the wrong one had been presented first.
Finally- it was Valentine's, and they were absolutely brutally packed and still managed to do all this with a smile.
The food was great but it could have been awful at that point (as so many gluten free substitutions are anyways) and I still would have been amazed.
I was working in an office nearby and was looking for lunch - I haven’t eaten here since prior to my Celiac Disease diagnosis.
I noticed on the menu that there is a wide variety of items across all categories that can be made “gluten conscious” with substituted items. If you have to avoid gluten you know sometimes there are no options, or no substitutions available and it can be a challenge eating the same things over and over again. I wanted to give it a shot, so I placed my order on the Moxies website with an ask for GC subs.
I ordered the following to share with a gluten sensitive coworker:
Truffle parm fries
Roasted tomato and whipped feta dip
Chipotle mango chicken
The restaurant called right away and confirmed substitution selections with me. The fries were baked instead of fried to avoid cross contamination, the dip was served with crackers instead of bread, and the chicken was served with jasmine rice instead of ancient grains.
When I went to pick up I was served by the manager who was incredibly friendly. I really appreciated the attention to detail and care that was put into my order- I did not feel like a burden or that the substitutions were too much work.
The best part is that everything tasted great - I would happily reorder these items again and they kept absolutely fine in containers and made it back to the office. We both feel great hours after eating and are excited to be able to add some variation to an otherwise relatively flavourless mealtime.
Thank you so much for taking the time to make my experience great, even if I didn’t dine in!
Monki Breakfast & Bistro is a decent spot for a brunch outing with friends. The bright and welcoming atmosphere creates a cheerful vibe, and the staff are friendly and attentive. However, I found the portion sizes a bit smaller than expected, and the food quality didn’t quite meet my expectations.
Additional Info and Tips:
1. Menu Highlights: Monki is known for its creative twists on classic breakfast dishes. Their eggs benedict variations and stuffed French toast are popular choices—worth trying if you’re into flavorful brunch options.
2. Seating: It’s a cozy space, but it can get quite busy during peak brunch hours. Making a reservation ahead of time is recommended, especially on weekends.
3. Dietary Options: They offer a range of options, including vegetarian and gluten-free dishes, which could be a plus for those with dietary preferences or restrictions.
4. Pricing: Prices are moderate but slightly on the higher side considering the portion sizes. It’s something to keep in mind if you’re looking for value for money.
Pro Tip: If you’re a coffee lover, their specialty lattes and espresso drinks come highly recommended. Pair one with your meal for a complete experience!

Been here a number of times and have never been disappointed. Earls menu always has a decent amount of good celiac safe gluten-free options. Staff at this location are always friendly and food has always been quick.
It is great to have a waitress that speaks Spanish and is so attentive and without hesitation makes changes to the order according to the dietary needs. Love they have gluten free options.
Kendra was my waitress and she was amazing, fast, always friendly.

The gluten free options were diverse and plentiful, including deserts. Food was excellent. The service came with snark. The atmosphere was intrusively load- music was repeatedly turned up to the point even the server said she couldn't hear anything. I have been there before and food has always been good, service previously was attentive and pleasant, and the atmosphere quiet enough for conversation.
We had omelets. They were good. My wife would have liked a smaller portion, but we didnt see one. Price was on high side, 48.00 for eggs for three people. Restaurant was clean enough and the server was very nice. They can make a gluten free meal if needed.
The food was incredible, my daughter and I got a gluten free beef dip and it was amazing! I haven't had a beef dip since well before my celiac disease diagnosis 13 years ago.
My son said "it was the best dinner he's ever had"
We went to J Club tonight, for the first time, for my husband's birthday. We had the Butter Chicken, Teriyaki Stir-fry and our kids ate off the kids menu. All of our food was amazing, (the best we've had out in a long time,) and they had the option of a gluten free bun for my son's burger.
The service was quick, and our server was great. Will definitely be back!
We had the pleasure of eating here after trying it a few months ago, very rarely do we find that there is consistency and they didn’t disappoint. The pasta was fresh and el dante …felt like I was in a cozy place in venice! The fellow (Ganesh) speaking to us was also very nice and told us about the fresh ingredients that go in the pasta. I had the gluten free gnocchi and my hubby had the creamy pesto ravioli. I’m always nervous eating out but he made sure everything was done absolutely perfectly! Really recommend this place as a nice night out and value for money!
So hard to find good food that is also gluten free, lots of options to choose from. The food is really good! Definitely recommend treating yourself to a meal here
I never give bad reviews unless there is a glaring issue. My wife has celiac disease — we called ahead at the time of reservation to ensure they could accommodate her, and spoke again with the server about the seriousness of the condition & importance to not have any wheat in the meal when we ordered. While the server said they would make absolutely sure the meal would be gluten free - There were no visits from any kitchen staff, which was disappointing, and bottom line - my wife had a severe reaction to the meal. Kept her up all night. We so rarely eat out - she’s basically said she’s never doing it again after this meal.
Love that they have gluten-free crust. My kids only like cheese pizza and I was impressed that they have both a basic cheese pizza as well as a 5 cheese. Found the pizzas very enjoyable. Kind people served us too.
We had a nice breakfast at Jam's. The pancakes are the best! The poutine was too salty. The gluten-free bread for the avocado toast was excellent, and the toppings with the avocado were special and tasty.
Checked out the brunch menu - great avocado toast... Gluten Free options and looking forward to going back to try out the pasta and dessert menu! Really great service and great value for the quality & quantity!
I had the brisket which is always delicious, but the best part is they offer a gluten free bun that actually tastes good and doesn't fall apart! If you have to eat gluten free, then you know how hard finding decent bread products is and especially for take out! Thank you for having options for gluten free eating that are great quality!
Nitinik did a great job serving us! Although he was initially the only server, he ensured we were happy with our food orders, were not wanting for anything and asked about the gluten free English Muffins… which I greatly appreciated!! Nitinik was friendly and
efficient. Nicely done!
Some of the best meals had here and they are one of the best for proper gluten free options with an extremely flexible menu. Confident staff, great service and superb food. Hits all the marks!
