Gluten free and allergen conscious paradise!! Very kind staff and delicious food! They have tons of gf products for sale as well as lots of freshly made savory and sweet baked goods AND an entire menu to choose a full meal from. We got their foccacia, chicken cutlet and fries, hamburger, and tiramisu. Sooo good!! I LOVED the chicken cutlet and fries. Would love to know how they made the chicken so I can make something similar at home. Highlight of our time in Bari, thank you!
The food was high quality even gluten free, the boy who brought the tables was disorganized and his clothes were not clean, for the rest the food was good
We went for an anniversary and we knew we wouldn't go wrong. Celiac food for one of our guests, and that says it all. Excellent food, friendly owners and friendly waiters. I highly recommend
SO MUCH QUALITY.
Among so much variety of choice I tasted Pittule, Cocule, Crocchè and Salento artisanal beers.
Everything perfect and made on the spot!
The owner is professional, kind and helpful.
There is also a small selection of quality wines and a gluten-free menu.
I had vomiting after having gluten-free pizza, the bruschetta was cold and hard as a stone (it cost 8 euros), the hugo spritz was bland, the only thing I can praise is the decor, I have the impression that the restaurant pretends to be a bit better, but unfortunately the quality is completely different
I'm really happy to have found a place where they sell gluten-free brioche! It's also super tasty not a weak trade-off at all. The ice cream is really good as well!
Characteristic seaside restaurant also suitable for celiacs, I recommend all the dishes apart from the citrus rolls, delicious seared tuna with peppers and seafood crudites, Latin American music in the background, excellent for couples and families
Intimate and welcoming location. Very kind staff, really rich menu, also pleasantly suitable for lactose intolerants and gluten-free people. Highly recommended
Highly recommended place! Excellent food and very friendly staff. Also, almost all the dishes can be replicated without gluten (the fried food and the swordfish Gallipoli style are excellent).
I came to Polignano on purpose to eat the sandwich at Pescaria, I waited in line for half an hour only to discover that the gluten-free sandwich had run out at 8:00 pm.
What a fantastic evening with friends, I'm coeliac and was catered for so well ,felt totally at ease. The staff are friendly, welcoming and accommodating to dietary needs. Will 100percent be back for another visit on my next trip.
A beautiful discovery! I celebrated my graduation here. The owners are extraordinary and very kind people, they even prepared a cake for me at the last moment (requested for lunch that same evening). The appetizers left us speechless, due to the imagination of the dishes, the presentation and their goodness! The first courses have unique and truly high-level flavours. The ingredients are excellent. The mixed grill was also enjoyed by many guests. Furthermore, the natural wines offered on the menu are one better than the other. My sister who has celiac disease was so happy to be able to eat whatever was on the menu! Well done!!! I recommend it to anyone who wants to have a nice culinary trip!
Fantastic pizza aesthetically, qualitatively and with an exceptional flavour, both the normal version and the gluten and lactose-free one... a real joy for the palate.
I have come to this place many times and it never disappoints!
very good meat and well served.
the sandwich in the photo is gluten-free so they offer very valid alternatives even for celiacs.
I highly recommend!
Excellent restaurant also for celiacs. Quality products and reasonable prices. Very courteous and helpful service. Bianca is a sure thing: she does everything to follow and satisfy customers. Congratulations!
WOW... this place is incredible. We were lucky enough to visit before leaving Bari, and it was one of the best dinners!
If you need gluten-free food, you have to visit (even if you're a "normal" person who can eat anything 🤪🙃).
The food was INCREDIBLE, a unique flavor different from what you can eat in the rest of Italy. The service was excellent. Thank you, Rosella, for being so attentive, knowing everything about allergies (I wish everyone was like you!), and for being so kind. It makes you want to go back.
*EVERYTHING in the photos is gluten-free.
We ordered 2 gluten free pizzas. One was ok, the other was terrible. Soggy, wet and cold. Way too much sauce ans not cooked through. 40euros for the two only.
We had the beef pistachio tartare, gluten free orecchiette and the rabbit with pistachio panna cotta. I can’t complain about anything. It was the best dinner we’ve had in Italy thus far. The waiter also had red wine recommendations and an Amari recommendation that were both fantastic although strong 🥴😂
kela Bistrot is a place where you feel at home even 1000km away. We discovered this restaurant last year, looking for a place that guaranteed options for celiacs, and having returned to this magnificent city again this year we decided to let 2 of our friends who were not with us the previous year taste one of their specialities, spaghetti all'assassina. Our expectations were not disappointed, on the contrary. The manager of the restaurant, a young and very nice guy, advised us and pampered us. We had a mixed appetizer with cold and hot tastings which literally amazed us with the quality of the raw materials and the combinations. Followed by the long-awaited spaghetti all'assassina, in their variant with mussels. Eye and palate had their satisfaction. The list of drinks to accompany the meal is also very interesting and sophisticated. The final treat (bitter and sweet tarallini with almond) is top marks. Highly recommended
Last night we celebrated a graduation in this restaurant. Therefore, the appetizers were full of onion and garlic and were not appreciated by our guests; if it had been specified that the appetizers would contain a myriad of onion and garlic we could have agreed on something better and certainly more appreciated. Furthermore, we told the waiter during the estimate that we were afraid that a type of pasta would be too heavy in taste for the guests, he reassured us that the flavor would be delicate, which our guests also didn't like.
From the estimate we had agreed that they would go through the baking dishes for a second round and that didn't happen. The second round of pasta would have been appreciated because, as I said before, one type of pasta was not liked so our guests would have appreciated receiving perhaps a second course of the first pasta which was very good.
Nothing to take away from the second course, even if the chicken was perhaps a little too tough.
When we arrived between the first and second courses, they removed the plate from which one of our friends was eating, this action was not appreciated at all.
Furthermore, a girl with celiac disease and lactose intolerant received the sorbet with lactose, initially told it was lactose-free. Luckily the girl insisted because it seemed strange to her that there was no milk in the sorbet.
All in all, the location was very appreciated and fresh. Too bad about the food because if it had been good it would have been perfect.
EDIT to the owner's response: since I only received a response regarding the dishes I didn't like, do we want to talk about the fact that you delivered a dish with lactose? To err is human, but not at this level because people can feel bad about these mistakes. Too bad, that as you say,
a diner must be able to explain the dishes and the ingredients that make up the dish. Even just for politeness, plates are not removed in front of people when they are still eating.
However, the guests thank everyone for the compliment.
Family lunch
March 2025
It was the first time I went to the Jaster club in Adelfia and I can say that it was a wonderful experience
Location:
beautiful place, with spaces distributed appropriately, stone on the walls, cross vaults, perfect lighting, soft at the right point.
Staff:
polite, attentive, kind staff, ready for every request from diners, and in numbers I believe are even greater than necessary; fast and with absolutely appropriate times, and therefore impeccable service, from the "oldest" to the "youngest" (or rather the youngest)
Menu:
the food and the choreography of the plating were excellent; bravo to the Chef.
Very varied appetizers, well prepared also from a scenographic point of view, which satisfied everyone
Perfect first courses, with excellent cooking levels of the pasta.
Second course with an excellent cut, served with different degrees of cooking depending on the needs of the diners
Scenographically well-composed fruit on the plates, very varied and of excellent quality
Wines with a wide range of choices, recommended by the staff, indicated and detailed, but ultimately chosen by the guests.
Note :
nothing to complain about except highlighting the attention, I would say obsessive, of the staff in the service, considering that there were different types of diners:
gluten intolerant
lactose intolerant
gluten and lactose intolerant
intolerant to cured meats and sausages.
Therefore diversified preparations on the same course, and where not possible, alternative course, with the prior consent of the diner.
There was never a moment of uncertainty on the part of the staff about serving the right dish to the right diner, which is not everyone's experience.
In my opinion, the price is not in line with what is offered, considering it lower than it should even be.
Local:
I recommend it to everyone, easy to get there from the SS.100 entering Adelfia, ten minutes from Bari, for lunches and dinners, family reunions, work meetings, cheerful evenings.
Last and not least The Owner:
I have known Mauro De Palo as a restaurateur for years now, since the days of the "Cannarute" in Piazza Ferrarese in Bari
A character with years of career in catering behind him, but always projected forward for innovations, alternatives, marketing, strategies.
A character always with the desire to interact with diners, learn suggestions, evaluate them and then draw the necessary consequences.
A character always with the desire to "learn", to know everything, and not just what goes into catering, with a spirit of humility rare to find.
A character always ready to dialogue with anyone, to follow suggestions and not only for his catering field, but at 360 degrees.
A character always ready to meet the needs of customers, to get involved in the dining room at the service of his guest, who was, is, and will always remain sacred to him.
Well done Mauro, continue like this, on the path taken, projected forward without ever considering yourself to have arrived, but only a good restaurateur looking for innovations to satisfy the customer in the wake of tradition.
Well done Mauro, see you next time, and we are with you.
Gianluca Clary
The music inside the venue was exclusively neo-melodic, completely out of keeping with expectations.
Ventilation not received as the only visible fan was pointing into an area without people. Heat
Disproportionate cost of dishes for really small portions. I can't even say I had a gourmet experience as the first one of the day was nothing special.
The main problem, however, was the reactions of the staff.
The waiter was quite sour in his answers from the start. We had all finished (or almost) eating and the person with celiac disease at our table had not yet received his dish.
He expresses his concern several times to the waiter who always responds with the same unpleasant tone. The gluten-free pasta will have arrived at least 20-30 minutes after the others together with the owner who was keen to reiterate, in a polemical tone, that there had been no errors on their part.
I understand that the job can be stressful, but this shouldn't be on the customer. Sometimes it is better to apologize than continue to justify yourself, especially once you have experienced that this only causes an opposite reaction.
Very friendly and helpful service. Had gluten-free pasta. Spaghetti with mushrooms & truffle sauce was delicious. The mussels were really fresh & tasty. Warm enough to eat outside, even in February.
I'll start by saying that the waiter was friendly and really attentive to the shortcomings (even superfluous) of the room, I spent a really pleasant evening, excellent dishes. Also served gluten-free.
This seaside ice cream shop is a true paradise for ice cream lovers. The order and cleanliness of the place are impeccable. The variety of gluten-free flavors is surprising, with options ranging from classic creams to innovative combinations. The staff is friendly and professional. An unmissable experience for those looking for quality and freshness in every spoonful, with the splendid view of the sea as a backdrop.
A few steps from Alberobello, in the hamlet of Coreggia, this trattoria perfectly represents the soul of Apulian cuisine: genuine, seasonal and full of authentic flavours.
The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, it makes you understand that tradition is at home. The staff stands out for their kindness and professionalism, always ready to recommend the best specials of the day and to meet every need, with particular attention to those with food intolerances. (let a very demanding celiac tell you this!)
The menu follows seasonality, enhancing local products. From fresh pasta first courses to meats cooked to perfection (or served on hot cast iron plates), up to vegetable side dishes from the garden and homemade desserts: every bite tells the gastronomic story of Puglia. Here we work with passion and without shortcuts: the dishes are freshly prepared by the Chef and if the slightest mistake occurs (which can only happen to those who work) it receives the correct attention with the dedication of those who truly believe in quality.
If you are looking for a place where, first of all, Eating with a capital M, spending the right amount, all surrounded by an authentic experience among trulli and genuine flavours, this trattoria is an unmissable stop.
We will definitely be back!
PS. we didn't have time to take photos.....😜
Excellent attention! The food a 10! I ordered a loin with a funghi porcini sauce with baked potatoes that was a spectacle. Swordfish too! The beautiful place. Lots of gluten-free and pet friendly variety!
Amazing coffee, service is TOP, the desserts are good. The best place to visit for savory breakfast! they gave gluten free options as well.
We will come back again when in Bari, grazie!
Nice restaurant with a really wide menu, horse meat for lovers of the genre, excellent mixed grill as well as chicken tagliata... but there is also fish and appetizers and seafood first courses, in short it is ideal for all palates even for celiacs and lactose intolerant and shellfish or other food intolerances. Well done, a nice place in Poggiardo a few km from the seaside resorts of Santa Cesarea Terme and Castro.
Very nice and cool place. Impeccable and polite service. Very good food with Mediterranean specialties, there are also gluten-free options. Be careful not to expect that you will gain weight from their portions, the restaurant's specialty is different, for normal people.
Excellent experience, given the very helpful, polite and welcoming staff and the excellent dishes and cocktails. Gluten-free options are available. I highly recommend it!

Castrum Bar Aperitivi
Via S. Giacomo, 23, 73040 Castrignano del Capo LE, Italy
We chose Small for a beautiful 50th birthday party in an exclusive location. Antonio's professionalism convinced us immediately, but the quality of the service and the dishes exceeded our expectations. Complete buffet of traditional flavors with careful research into raw materials, rich in variety of dishes and quantity. The cake and desserts were also delicious, tailor-made to meet our requests. A special thank you for the gluten-free menu much appreciated by our friends. Well done Emanuele and all the staff, dealing with a busy evening full of guests of all ages and enlivened by a live music concert. We have only received compliments, so we can only send them back to the entire organization. We will definitely see you again in your restaurant because we loved that too!

Sacanfò
Via Lungomare Matteotti, 121, 73026 San Foca LE, Italy
Excellent pastry shop in the center of San Foca. Wide variety of pasticciotti and very good.
The spectacular ice cream, with also the possibility of a gluten-free cone and some lactose-free flavours.
Recommended for both breakfast and an afternoon break.
We happened on this place for lunch one day and I'm so glad we did!. We were a party of 5, were seated in a great shady spot outside right away. The food was excellent! we had caprese salad, risotto , lasagne bolognese and GF lasagne and spumone for dessert. Everything was excellent! In fact, the comment from my daughter for the rest of our vacation was...I could eat that lasagne for breakfast lunch and dinner for the rest of my life! when I tell you we at every crumb of every dish we had. And 2 in our party have celiac and raved about the GF lasagne. Great service and great prices. It's the perfect little Italian cafe. I am now home in NJ craving the lasagne and caprese salad and a dish of spumone for dessert! Buen apetito! Trust me.
