Amazing restaurant. Amazing staff! especially server Tami! My wife and I have become definite regulars. My wife also has Celiac Disease so finding a restaurant that’s gluten free and delicious is very difficult. Highly recommend this restaurant!
We attended the Royal Tea. It was very similar to the afternoon (high) tea experience we had in London. The staff is very accommodating and friendly. They are knowledgeable about all of the items on the menu including over 100 different types of tea. The food and tea was delicious. They had lots of gluten free options that taste good. The China was beautiful and the seating was comfortable. A relaxing experience. Exactly what you would expect from an English tea. The price was reasonable.
I ordered steak frites medium rare, it came out well done, I sent it back to the kitchen. The service went down tremendously after this happened. She didn’t even ask if the second plate was cooked better. My mom ordered a gluten free bun which she did not get, good thing she isn’t celiac. I received no sort of discount or recognition that my dish came out incorrect, not even an apology. I still tipped 20% which I regretted when the server came to pick up ONLY her tipped copy leaving dirty dishes and glassware at the table with us. Bad food. Bad service.
try the shishito peppers, absolutely divine! was definitely busy but that didnt stop the servers from being very attentive. they have gluten free buns and the fries are gluten free so this girl was happy
Wondeful place! French vibe and small buisness. Reusable (ceramic and metal untensils) dishware if you dine in and great variety. Seating in and outside. Savory and sweet for whatever your mood and excellent options that are gluten free (savory is automatically buckwheat crepe)
We recently dined as a family at Trattoria Dionisia, and I am deeply disappointed with how the establishment handled our experience. This response is in reference to the dismissive and disrespectful reply my husband received after leaving an honest review.
Yes, I am the customer with Celiac disease, and it was our first time dining at this restaurant. Initially, I was excited to see a menu offering several gluten-free options, which made me feel optimistic about the meal ahead.
Unfortunately, that excitement quickly turned to frustration. From the start, the service was subpar. The server failed to ask my oldest son what he would like to drink, yet still brought him an apple juice that we never ordered but were charged for. Additionally, she served my toddler a big glass of apple juice, which was not safe for him to drink, and certainly not in a glass that size. These oversights were careless and easily avoidable.
When we attempted to order appetizers, we were told none could be made gluten-free, and they were out of bread and other options. As for my entree, I went through four choices, all of which could not be prepared gluten-free because the restaurant had “run out.” On a busy Saturday night, this is unacceptable for a place that advertises multiple gluten-free options on the menu. How do you expect customers to feel satisfied with that level of unpreparedness? A competent manager would have at least apologized for the situation directly. Instead, we were left to feel like an inconvenience.
I was not asking for anything beyond what was listed on your menu. We didn’t come for freebies or handouts, we surely don’t need anything free! what we wanted was a respectful dining experience and the food you promised in your menu. Your response to my husband’s honest feedback only added insult to injury, showing a clear lack of respect for your customers.
We will never return, and I will be sure to share our experience with others. The food was underwhelming, the picture shows the croutons were burned and imposible to eat. But the service was what truly deserves criticism. I sincerely hope you reconsider how you treat your patrons if you wish to remain in business.
Ive lived in Castle Rock a few years now, and me and my family have been looking for a good diner, and we finally found it. The food was absolutely wonderful, I had the Colorado cheese steak and it blew me away!
Being celiac, gluten free options are an absolute must, and I was very pleased with the gluten free flatbread substituted.
The waitress was also very attentive and the atmosphere was fun and very classic diner-y
Hopefully my family and I will be able to come back many more times in the future!
My youngest son (10yo) and I go here frequently, whether it’s on a Pokémon day where we meet up nearby, or to go do some of his school work, or to just hang out during the day. There’s a drink for everyone, and gluten free eats. The staff is always welcoming, and Dan seems like a great guy. I’m a 41yo introverted homebody, but when I venture out into the wild, this is where I like to hide out.
absolutely love these pastries for my gluten full friends! their almond croissants get the most requests. get their early for sandwiches, they do run out!
Not celiac safe and misleading menu that states there are lots of gluten free items only to learn that they have a gluten contaminated fryer. This means nothing fried is safe but all the gf option foods come with fried items! The filet comes with fried potatoes, the fried chicken isn't an option because it's fried in the contaminated fryer, and the burger which just came on a bed of lettuce also came with a side of contaminated fries.
I'm curious if that many people are actually ordering the scallops with panko crusted fried tomatoes to justify them ruining their entire fryer for the rest of us. Why not just have a dedicated pan for frying your tomatoes so that the rest of your food is safe for those who legitimately can't eat gluten?
Don't advertise menu items as gluten free if you are still frying in a gluten contaminated fryer. It's misleading and can actually hurt people for days.
Massive thank you for our server/bar tender for warning us so that I didn't get sick. It just also meant I couldn't eat a lot that was supposed to be a celebratory dinner after thinking that I would have had lots of options when we made our reservation.
