We recently had a great group dinner at Malibu. Excellent experience and fantastic food. I had the Hawaiian Ribeye, my spouse had the salmon- both delectable! Everybody in our group was happy with their choices.
Our server, Maddie S. was phenomenal! She served our large table (and many others!) with a smile! Most impressively, was her ability to get our complex orders right with the several modifications we seemed to make in our big group.
If Malibu could make any menu updates:
I would love to see a few more gluten free options on the menu, as well as some non-alcoholic spirits/mocktails. Thanks!
Pro’s: Great options for Celiac Disease + good GF bread. Coffee keeps flowing, it’s $5 for unlimited self serve. Central location next to Capitol.
Con’s: Slightly underwhelming portions. Lox bagel does not come with cream cheese. Not a ton of unique / strong flavor for an $18 meal.
It generally felt like a restaurant that used to be charming in its origins but has commercialized.
Friendly owners that support other local businesses. Delicious sweet and savory gluten free treats. Recommend the Cinnamon roll and quiche and sandwich bread and Hawaiian rolls.
I can’t say enough good things about this bakery! Everything I have tried has been amazing, you’d never know they’re gluten-free!
The staff was super friendly and knowledgeable! The shop itself is cozy and inviting, with a delightful aroma of fresh bakes in the air.
Whether you’re gluten-free by necessity or choice—or just someone who appreciates quality baked goods—this bakery is a must-try!
Visited here for a birthday dinner the night before a Fever game. Amazing dining experience, top notch service. The staff were very accommodating with my gluten free and dairy free needs.
My wife got SEVERELY cross contaminated to the point we are concerned the “gluten free” bread they served was not actually gluten free. Food was mediocre on top of that
A great place to get small plates! We came here to celebrate my mother-in-law’s birthday and it’s such a cozy restaurant to escape the cold in during this time of the year. I thought the fireplace on tv was a cute touch.
I highly recommend ordering the Chef’s Tour Boards. There’s more of a cohesion of flavors and the items are partnered well in the pre-set menu. We ordered the Vegetarian Board, which we thoroughly enjoyed. The blistered brussel sprouts was the star of the meal for us! It was crisp and flavored so well.
We also ordered an assortment of small dishes to share such as the deviled eggs, savory shrooms (a favorite of mine), lobster quesadilla, ahi tacos, little lambs, pork belly bites, and few more items. Overall, it was a pleasant experience, service was great, and I always appreciate a menu with a legend for dairy-free, gluten-free, and vegan dishes.
This a great little barbecue place. The food is yummy and the portions are good. They have many gluten-free options to choose from. The atmosphere is a cozy vibe. Our waitress was friendly and knowledgeable.
This place is currently not even open, until July as we were told. You need to inform people if you are closed and remodeling. I am Celiac, and drove 2 hours to come to this place. An absolute waste of my time and gas, and I won't waste my time coming back. I would give you a 0 if I could for keeping people informed.
Gluten-free friends, rejoice. I have a gluten and egg allergy, and their vegan/gf chocolate chip muffin is to Die For. You wouldn’t know it was gluten free. It’s that good.
Food was great. Portion sizes were huge! It is a really cute place, with an Americana theme. The combos were also themed, like the Lincoln breakfast or Confederate burrito. Our server was polite, but a little pokey and never got a refill (sorry, pet peeve). However, the food itself came out fast. The pancakes are on the IHOP taste side, but bigger and delicious. The fried potatoes are real! Not that bagged stuff. Overall would eat here again if visiting. FYI, they also have a gluten free menu page included in the menu.

I was there for a meeting. 1st time visit. The Food was good. I was offered Gluten Free options, which I had requested. The Server was friendly, and timely.
This is our absolute favorite place to dine and often go here for brunch on Sundays. They have several outstanding gluten-free options and make all their own beers; the Super Creama is my fav. Housed inside the old VFW Post 1167, it's nestled right on the St Joe River next to a train crossing bridge. You can dine inside or outside next to the river .. Simply outstanding if you're into cozy pub's . Five stars and more ♥️
My home-base Cafe Patachou. Much too conveniently located near my home. It's hard to eat out and eat healthy. I love to get the chicken salad sandwich on gluten free toast and sub out chips for arugula. So yummy and I swear it has restorative powers.
No words, absolutely fantastic. World class, this should have a michilin star.
Food? Fantsstic.
Ciders? Amazing.
And its a nut free, allergen and gluten concious kitchen?
What more could you ask for.
I am an admitted Cafe Patachou addict... but I swear their chicken salad sandwich has restorative powers! And only place in town I know of you can get gluten free waffles!! 💙
I took my daughter who had a gluten allergy. There were Gluten Free options and so many to choose from. We had the best service. The server was Wil and he had the best hospitality. The manager Ethan came and asked us how everything was. Ethan had great hospitality as well. We had the flaming turtle chocolate that gets lit on fire. It was a wonderful experience and we will definitely be coming back. 10/10 would definitely recommend.
Made a reservation for 8 for Prom last week and the kids were pleased. They said the food was great and the manager came out to check on the gluten free order to make sure it was right and that they were having a good experience. They were excited to be treated with such great service after not being served well at a steakhouse farther north a couple of months ago. They promised they tipped appropriately, but look it up on my open table to make sure that is true. Thank you for treating them with kindness and respect and for making it a good experience for them.
I have a wheat allergy and my husband picked this restaurant because it had gluten free options. They have stuffed french toast on the menu and it looked amazing, you get 2 of these giant round 2” tall stuffed french toast things, and the menu has a gluten free option for an extra $2. Of course the gluten free option is regular french toast not stuffed and I was fine with that however… after waiting 40 min. they brought out our food and all I got was one small thin piece of french toast… even with 2 it would have only been about half the amount food as the regular option and I was ok with that but, one small piece?? Definitely not worth $15. When you’re paying extra you at least expect a similar amount of food. I will say our server was great even though it was busy, the food tasted good, and if you don’t have food allergies it’s probably a good place to eat. However I definitely don’t recommend this restaurant to anyone with gluten/wheat allergies as it’s just not worth it. I’m already paying extra and I get less food than a kids meal. So if you avoid gluten I’d probably avoid this restaurant.
The roasted brussels sprout appetizer is amazing! Also, pair your meal with one of the CH house wines. We chose a smooth merlot with our dinner and will do so again, it was that good.
Our server was very attentive and professional, very knowledgeable on the menu and wines. He insured that my meal was prepared gluten-free which I greatly appreciated.
Reservations are recommended on the weekends.
I’m gluten-free. Even though I’ve had the gluten-free pasta at this restaurant before, I was not in the mood for pasta. I understand that this restaurant has a lot of pasta options, but there are other options as well. For my meal, I asked for asparagus and lobster on top of mashed potatoes. When my meal came out, the lobster and asparagus was on top of pasta. I explicitly. stated that I did not want pasta. Despite this, I was asked if I wanted to keep the meal or wait for it to be remade. I chose to have it remade while I watched my husband eat his dish. Once the dish was corrected, I did enjoy it. However, I do wish this restaurant had more gluten-free options.
A nice quaint place for a good meal. The turkey Manhattan was good, but could have used a small bit of salt for my taste.(I tend to like things a little salty) The bread and potatoes were a different take than I've had before and it was refreshing. I enjoyed the mash baked potato as it was cut up rather than fully mashed into what normally is on a Manhattan. The gravy was had a good consistency that stuck to bread without making it soggy. The bread itself had been toasted nicely as well.
The soup was nice and acidic with a rich taste without being over seasoned allowing one to enjoy the tomatoes and basile together.
The Latka were a little soft for me, but this didn't take away from their flavor.
Family owned and operated this restaurant's staff was polite and open for conversation about the food and even suggestions as to what to have.
I even noticed them making sure a customer knew which choices of food had gluten when ordering.
I ate here in late summer 2024 (coming through from WI) and the staff was knowledgeable and helpful, reassuring about measures taken to keep food separate, and their Southern Fried Chicken Sandwich was incredible! Also get the Death by Chocolate cake!
I plan to come back whenever I pass through, or even just make it a trip solely for the food.

We make this a usual stop about once every 3 months. Service was far better this time than last. My wife has to be gluten free and she hasn't had any issues when eating here! The tacos are fantastic!
Service was quick and friendly. They have plenty of gluten-free options. My husband’s gluten-free meal was delicious! My French toast wasn’t my favorite, but everything else was solid. Overall, a great place for breakfast with something for everyone.
I stopped here on my drive to Peoria from Lansing and was not disappointed! The food was great. I love that there are not only vegan options but an entire menu listing vegan, vegetarian, and gluten free choices.
The music was very strange and loud, but I assumed it was just still on from the opening crew. I saw another review bring up the music too though so, maybe a thought? Definitely not a reason to not come here or to leave a bad review!! Come here and bring your friends!
I love eating breakfast here when visiting my daughter at Purdue University. I’m gluten free and I love that I can get pancakes or gluten free toast with my omelets. Ash was an excellent server! Very friendly and helpful!
An update after my visit: despite noting that I have an allergy and needed the gluten-free pancakes, I was served pancakes with gluten. Through sheer luck, I commented on a separate allergy-related issue, and a new staff member (not the one who took my order) got confused and asked "You do realize these have gluten, right?". They prepared a new, safe, order quickly, but it was concerning. I recommend that those with allergies place their order through a manager, and have the manager double-check with the kitchen that they read the order correctly.
I haven't even been here yet, but I already love them due to their commitment to safe gluten-free food for those with Celiac and other severe medical responses to gluten. I'll update this review after I eat there this weekend
They pay close attention to those with health issues and needing their food prepared gluten -free. The manager will personally come to the table and ask what special needs are to be looked after and explain how the food will then be prepared.
I got my order to go here because they had gluten free buns and I wanted a grilled chicken burger. It was phenomenal and ready within 15 minutes. Service at the register was good! Incredible fries!!!
Burgers are really good. I was super disappointed in the onion rings. Really thick breading, like a limp pretzel dough and no crisp. Wish I didn't pay extra and just got the fries.
Wife is Celiac and proper handling of this is main reason we came.
Delicious vegan and gluten-free food and drinks that leave you feeling good! (The greenfields salad/dressing is my personal favorite) Friendly and personable staff.
We are regular customers here. Our favorite dish is the Kalamity Katie Border Benedict. Personally, I think the gluten-free potatoes (just uncoated) taste better and are cooked better than any of the others. We ordered take out about an hour before close; the coffee and food were all fresh and delicious. Service was awesome.
The Original Pancake House in Fishers, IN, offers a delightful breakfast experience. Renowned for its extensive menu, the restaurant excels in serving fluffy pancakes, with standout options like the Dutch Baby and signature buttermilk pancakes. The cozy atmosphere and friendly staff enhance the dining experience, making it a perfect spot for families and friends.
During a recent visit, I was impressed by the gluten-free options available, which catered well to dietary restrictions without compromising on taste. The service was prompt, even during peak hours, reflecting the staff's dedication to customer satisfaction.
While the wait times can be longer on weekends, the delicious food is worth it. Overall, The Original Pancake House delivers a satisfying breakfast that keeps locals and visitors coming back for more. Recommended for anyone looking to enjoy a hearty meal in a welcoming setting.
I’m a big fan of Proximo, especially after working with them to host my wedding reception in their private dining room. They were very accommodating, the food was stellar as always (with great vegetarian and gluten free options to accommodate all guests), and the cocktails and wine were perfect. Thank you Proximo!
It was super busy today and we had to wait in a little corridor for a table. Which sounds bad, but it wasnt really. We got a cute table and ate some delicious food 😊 The phyllo goodness was truly good 😉. My friend got the turkey bacon panini with gluten free bread and I got the chicken bacon foldover. Delicious. Definitely hits the spot for an early lunch. We had the blueberry lavender lemonade 🤌🏻 I love a good vibe and this place had it. Lots of plants and the staff are really friendly 😊
Can be busy, friendly staff! Many items labeled gluten free! Not a bad place for diabetics if you’re smart about carbs. All meat is excellent here! Pricey but worth the money! Be sure to get wine with steak 👍 👍
We chose this spot ahead of time to meet up with a friend from Michigan somewhere along our path from Cleveland to Chicago. The menu showed an Impossible burger and gluten free buns, so we figured it was a good choice for everyone meeting up.
Upon arrival, the hostess was very friendly and accommodating to seat us outside on one of the patios. The menu didn't list if the gluten free buns were vegan, so I had to ask our server. Upon arrival to our table, our server, Ariana, immediately appeared irritated to be there. After she brought us our waters, one of my kids asked about the French fries and she told her in a fairly clipped manner that they were not gluten free. My daughter asked if it was simply due to a shared fryer. To which her response was to roll her eyes and tell her that it was because they had wheat in them. My daughter asked if that meant they were coated, to which she received another eye roll followed by a yes. My daughter said not to worry about a side then.
When it was my turn, I asked for the Impossible burger and asked if the gluten free bun was gluten free. I got a similar response with an eye roll. I asked her what was in the fruit side and then asked if we could just have that instead since we couldn't have the fries. I was told yes.
However, when I got the bill, I realized later that she charged me extra for the fruit. Which she definitely shouldn't have due to both burgers not getting fries and mine not getting a bun either.
One of my kids said their food was fine, but the other was less than thrilled with her burger and the fries. Two of them thought the sauces brought out were fairly odd and didn't taste good. We asked what was in them and she told us that they don't tell them the ingredients in anything so they have no idea. That was a huge red flag to me, as not knowing the ingredients means that someone found easily get something that could cause a food related reaction. Servers should either already know the ingredients, be able to get a hold of them or know for sure if an item may be an issue for those with dietary restrictions.
Overall, it wasn't the great find I was hoping it would be.
Food was amazing. I ordered from the gluten free menu and we had the Thai lettuce wraps for our appetizer and they were absolutely delicious. For my dinner I ordered the soy ginger salmon from the gluten free menu and it was soooo delicious. My husband ordered from the regular menu and got the filet medallions and loved it. We had a great server nicknamed A1 and he was awesome and very helpful and friendly.
