Restaurant was clean. The waitstaff was helpful and patient as we had never been there before. The food was good; we ordered fries, two different wraps, a hog boss, a sandwich, and a burger. We also ordered onion rings, they weren’t the best-a little soggy (gluten and gluten free eaters all agreed), but everything else was great! Five people ate lunch for about $100 and we were full. Would definitely eat there again if in the area.
Food and service were good. This place is popular!!! I would highly suggest checking in online and then again when you get there. Good for Vegan/Gluten free eaters-lots of options and menu is clearly marked. Servers are knowledgeable about gluten free (ours was at least) and they have separate kitchen space for gluten free food.
This location means a lot to me because the staff always takes such great care of me when I come in, remembers my name, some of the servers remember my order by heart. Managers are very nice and personable. Their coffee is the best coffee of any restaurant I have been too. Great food and service on a consistent basis. I highly recommend trying it out especially if gluten free or vegan.
My go-to breakfast place. VERY conscious of my Gluten Free requests, as well as a TON of GF options. They told me all the GF stuff is cooked on its own surface to avoid cross contamination, and I love they take it seriously. I feel like I can actually relax while eating there instead of being worried that someone's ignorance will lead to months of being sick. Plus my wife and son can still get their gluteny stuff if they want it, but honestly my son said the GF waffles are just as good as the normal.
It's so hard to find a place to eat out when one has food allergies so imagine my surprise when Anna's popped up in my Google search for a gluten free breakfast. We first visited Anna's back in April for my son's birthday breakfast and I was utterly amazed at their gluten free and vegan options that were available. Say WHAT?! I actually had choices to choose from!! The chicken sausage tater tot casserole with vegan eggs was absolutely delicious!! The food and atmosphere was so memorable that I made an online order for pickup yesterday morning for my daughter's birthday breakfast and it was so easy to order and pickup was a breeze! Food is always filling and still as good as we remember! Highly recommend their fresh pressed fruit juices as well! My new favorite place to grab a bite to eat!
Safest place around for those of us with celiac disease. Tons of gluten free options with safety precautions in place. I eat here all the time without getting sick. Large variety of items on the menu.
We have dined in many times and ordered take out. Lots and lots of gluten free options! I love getting the Caesar Salad with Crispy Tenders!! They have a dedicated gluten free fryer.
This is a great spot with a lot of options. It’s hard to find gluten-free options in the UP, but they had gluten-free bread with vegan options. They made sure to ask what my dietary restrictions were so they could prepare the food separately. Highly recommend. There is a very fun book selection, too.
Breakfast Club offers Gluten Free items and I'm always craving good French Toast. I was able to order the Strawberries and Cream stuffed french toast Gluten Free and it was delicious. I was scraping my plate clean. My son had a quesadilla and loves it also. And he was thrilled that instead of a mint with the bill, they brought a chocolate covered strawberry for each of us. It's a cozy little place. You may end up having conversation with your table neighbor like we did. I will return it I'm out that way again. I did drive 20 minutes out of my way to go and it was well worth it!
Great service and even better food! Food came out fast and was hot upon arrival. Good spot if you have a gluten intolerance/allergy, as they have gf buns and the fries are gluten free as well!
This Red Robin location is nothing short of amazing. The food is excellent. I had a monster burger with garlic parmesan fries. The burger was perfect, with all the right flavors. The fries are to die for, and can be replenished multiple times if that is your thing. They have an allergen menu. For gluten free they offer multiple options and a separate fryer. The servers I have had have all been kind, professional, competent, and timely. The atmosphere is good but I think the music is too loud to be able to hear the person sitting across from me.
Amazing service, I did not know they had gluten free items also IPA that is gluten free until server asked me questions and showed me. She is amazing and i recommend coming here. Good food and good happy hour. Half off beers bottles and cans plus wine !!! Can’t go wrong.
One of my favorite restaurants. I love that they change up the menu regularly. And as a celiac, they are somewhere I feel super safe eating (and can actually have fries since they have dedicated fryers!). Their GF carrot cake is amazing and it's rare I order a dish that I don't love. Also very much love the rooftop dining in the summer.
Went to Cooper’s Hawk for a date night with my wife. Our server, Paradise, was EXCEPTIONAL. She was extremely attentive and ensured our food was taken care of (we are gluten free). Kinga, the manager, ensured our experience was top notch and we never had to wait for anything. The food was fantastic as well. Based on our service, we will be back!
Thanks Paradise and Kinga for a great experience!
My wife has celiacs and had no problems with the gluten free menu, even got bread! Staff was great and food came out quick, would highly recommend going here.
The staff is amazing, the bar is good. The food selection includes gluten free and is well rounded. However, the food can be hit or miss depending on who is working the kitchen. Tonight was a miss. Other nights are great!

**Update 6/27** The manager graciously replied to my review, so I called & spoke to Mike. He apologized sincerely for my less than positive experience and sent me coupons for free food to try them again! Updated to 4 stars & plan a return visit to give them a chance to showcase their food & service. **
Not a good idea to try this place 1 st time on father's day.
Con: told wait time for our party of 11 was 2.5 hours.
Pros: only took 1 hour to get seated. The salad with ginger peanut dressing was fantastic. Sirloin was tasty but not seasoned. Wait staff was pleasant but over worked.
Cons: busy, crowded seating. No refills offered on water or beverages. Ordered my sirloin medium rare but it was well done. Waited for waitress to send it back, then got it back over 30 minutes later when entire table was done eating. I remained polite, was surprised manager offered nothing (discount, free item) for the considerable delay, not even an apology. Gave wrong salad to my gluten intolerant kid who luckily noticed and sent it back. Hubby ordered a specialty dinner salad plus a burger, but when he only got the burger, never got the salad, he told waitress to cancel salad. When I noticed we were still charged for the salad on the bill, had to wait again for the bill to be corrected. Arrived at 3 pm, seated at 4 pm, done eating and checked out at 545 pm. Wait staff seemed very busy with the big crowd, so am hopeful this was not normal.
Alright, i haven't had a true burger since i became gluten intolerant, but i was in the area, and inquired with The Burger Joint about their gluten free options.
Not only do they have decent gluten free buns, they have a dedicated fryer where nothing with gluten is fried in it. Fantastic!
I paid $20 including tip for my burger with addons and a side of fries, and it was worth EVERY PENNY. Thank you The Burger Joint, for a wonderful and delicious experience!
went here twice, first time was great service and food second time very mediocure. the second time they said they would have to charge for the side salad with my cheeseburger, which was included the first time i came, then when the check came they charged me an extra 2 something for the cheese on the cheeseburger. The first time they asked me how i wanted me burger and i was able to get it rare, the second time they just brought a dry well patty about half the size of the one i had the first time i came a few days earlier. Its nice they are knowledgable about service animal laws and can accommodate gluten free; but i guess somedays they will try to up charge. The fact they charged extra for cheese on a cheeseburger is wild. I left a seven dollar tip on a $24 dollar check the first time because everything was nice, friendly staff etc. The second time i only left a tip of seven cents (paying cash both times) if they wanted a tip they shouldn't have denied me the side that comes with the burger as well as charging to put cheese on a cheeseburger. Wont be going back. Very loud, like extremely loud pop music noise cancelling headphones cannot drown out (second time)
It is a great burger place something they hear always trying to do they even have gluten-free food and it's really good and they took it to your choice they are very good about what they do and their service is always gotten better every time
I just love this place! The atmosphere is sexy yet casual. Great for a girls night out or family dinner. Valet available- Open table or CALL 1st for reservations- otherwise you may be turned away. Great selections - my favorite is the appetizers. Want to be wowed!? Try the Brussel Sprouts, new Salmon dip, and Country Rigatoni (gluten free with extra sauce) they prepare their own gluten free bread that is excellent too. Shaved Brussel salad and Wedge is also my favorite. I am a wine club member, I find the wines to be juicy - try the Blueberry Açaí! DESSERT- Key Lime hands down with the buttery crust!
Happy Hour $10 apps menu is a great value.
Clyde’s is a must In Manistique. Service is great, food is great and you can tell they just pay attention to little details such as the way they fold your to-go bag so items will stay warm but let the moisture out so things stay crispy. Burgers and chicken tenders are awesome. They have dedicated gluten free fryer and know how to handle celiac due to the owner's daughter being celiac. She was also very sweet.
First visit here was several years ago on an overnight stay for a concert. Today I had to go back because that time was so good. Today I went and sat at the bar for brunch the staff (all 4 I encountered) were friendly and helpful answering questions and making suggestions that made my visit amazing. I went for this avocado toast gluten free with added egg and coffee, followed up with a citrus drink they mixed for me (not cocktail) that was the perfect refresher after the delicious meal. 10/10 recommend going here when in Grand Rapids, it is a super adorable yet smaller space so try to go outside the typical meal times or be patient and willing to wait. It’s worth it in my opinion.
It was our first time here. I was excited about gluten-free options. My cinnamon roll and pancakes were really good, but that's about it. My scrambled eggs came out brown and tasted worse than they looked, tasted like they had been sitting a while. My husband said his corn beef hash had no seasoning, everything was bland like eating hospital food. He said his food tasted like he was eating a picture of it. There was no salt or ketchup on the table. No syrup for my pancakes. Our server didn't smile one time, good luck getting her to come back to our table if we needed anything. Nobody working there looked like they wanted to be there. The girls bringing our food just plopped the plate on our table and turned to leave really quick. The bathroom was dirty. Definitely won't be back.
Major Tomato is a go-to spot for amazing artisan pizza. They have the best gluten-free options I’ve tried, and the ranch flight is a must! Always a solid experience with a great selection to choose from.

A lot of gluten free options. Mac & cheese was pretty good but doesn’t reheat that great. Bummer though was by our reservation time they were out of brisket and spare ribs. You also can’t choose your own meats for the combo meals. In my experience, other bbq restaurants have you choose your meats. Pulled pork and sausage were delicious but the ribs I did end up getting were very burnt. Our waitress was quick, but seemed annoyed. Drinks were good. I’d give it another try, but try to go earlier to get the brisket
Food was good. Service was good. They offer gluten-free fish and chips and they were really good. The only issue I have with this place is the pricing.
Delicious hamburgers with a gluten-free bun option. Their sweet potato fries are amazing and they serve refreshing Northwoods soda plus incredible milkshakes. Inside is a cozy atmosphere, and in warmer weather there is outdoor seating. Carryout is also an option.
