My husband and I frequent Old Europe for their delicious cakes and coffee, so when it came time to pick a vendor for our wedding desserts, it was an easy choice! Abby helped us choose a variety of small cake flavors, and made sure each one was gluten free (I have celiac disease). She also walked us through customizing a larger cake for the two of us. Everything turned out beautiful, and our guests raved about how pretty and delicious our desserts were.
Also of note- our original wedding was the day after Hurricane Helene. Old Europe made it super easy to reschedule for our new date!
I love this place. I've been here a few times and I like it more the more I visit.
The food options are numerous for me (Gluten allergy) and I'm all about organic foods. They are also very conscious of allergies and accommodate accordingly.
The staff is friendly and playful, too! They clearly care about the principles of this place.
And atmosphere is nothing special, but gets the job done. 5 stars for sustainability though, with their steel cutlery and plates.
Come check it out! Totally worth it.
I am madly in love with this establishment.
I talk nonstop about this place, having vegan and gluten free options that are very delicious. Dobra is such a traditionally raw beauty. :) I can't wait to make all my Asheville journeys mainly for you guys!
We were seated quickly and the food came fast too. Michael was very attentive. Our whole party enjoyed our food and experience. I appreciated the gluten friendly menu and both the gf bourbon street pancakes and gf toast were delicious!
Stopped in here hoping to see some gluten free options and was surprised to find not only biscuits, but full brioche loaves! They also had THE only oatmeal cream pie I've had in over 15 years of being gluten free. Amazing!
Our lunch was delicious! The restaurant and city are recovering from the hurricane, so the menu was limited, but very tasty! We had delicious salad, sweet potato fries, the soup of the day, and a BLT wrap with slaw. The salad and fries were our favorites. Great gluten free options, and a nice cafe location with patio. The staff did a great job despite the challenges they are facing. Thank you Green Sage!!! We appreciate your service and delicious food for those with allergies and dietary restrictions đ
Just had an unforgettable meal at Gemelliâs in Asheville and had to share! If youâre craving authentic Italianâthink house-made pastas, risottos, and desserts that taste like they came straight from Italyâthis is the spot. The atmosphere is cozy and European-inspired, perfect for a date night or family dinner.
Favorites from our table: the cacio e pepe, calabrian scampi, and the cannoli (seriously, donât skip dessert!). The staff is warm and attentive, and they offer gluten-free options too.
Bonus: prices are reasonable for the quality, and thereâs plenty of parking. Highly recommend Gemelliâs for anyone looking for a true Italian experience right here in Asheville! đźđčâš
Iâve been coming here for the gluten free donuts for a few years. This morning I ordered a decaf coffee drink to go with them. I didnât notice on the menu it said 4oz which was the size of a shot glass. That is my fault for not noticing it and it actually made me laugh when it came out. I was going to learn my lesson and drink this tiny drink. However, after trying it the decaf was burnt and gross. Instead of asking her to remake it, I asked for half a cup of steamed milk to combine it with to cancel out the burnt flavor and make it bigger. The barista was rude and told me sheâd have to charge me for the milk, which I pushed back on. Eventually she gave me the milk but her anger while making it made me uncomfortable and upset. Most places would offer to make a new drink for you, not fight you over 1/2 cup of steamed milk. Normally, the staff here has been nice so maybe it was an off day but it makes me want to stick to just donuts next time.
friendly staff and food was great. i briefly mentioned it was my girlfriends birthday and they surprised us both with this. very nice. gluten free options which is a plus
Excellent! This was my first visit to Tupelo Honey, but so many people have told me how delicious their food is - and boy were they right! They have a great selection of menu items with plenty of choices for people who are gluten free. They also have delicious mocktails and a substantial bar menu.
We went for brunch on New Year's Day, so it was probably more busy than it would typically be - but we only had to wait a short time before getting a table and enjoying our brunch.
The staff was friendly, the cafe had a nice atmosphere and was very clean. Very interesting, healthy dishes. Great vegan and gluten free options.
WARNING: They don't season their food even half decently. Make sure to salt your food thoroughly before you leave if you get takeout, or have salt and pepper on hand at home.
Also, for a "healthy alternative that doesn't even salt their food properly" place, the lack of a nutritional guide, or any kind of calorie information available is a huge letdown. This place ultimately fails to be perfect for health nuts, or for people who want food to taste really good. But it was still a decent experience with food that was good after liberal application of my own seasonings.
I used to love going to Oddâs Cafe, and would recommend it to my friends all the time, but the last 3 times Iâve been, the espresso had a burnt taste and I had to throw out my drinks because they were undrinkable. The environment there used to be bright and friendly, but thereâs now a pretentious air about the place and I donât feel welcomed when I come in.
The gluten free treats are pretty good, so itâs worth it to stop in for a to go snack, just stay away from the coffee and espresso, and choose tea or a smoothie.
While I have been gifted treats from here, this was my first time visiting for myself. We opted for the drive thru window. We had to wait a few minutes for service. There appeared to just be one person helping people inside as well as the drive thru. The wait gave us enough time to figure out what we wanted. There was a handwritten chalkboard with all of the menu items for the day. Unfortunately the regular breakfast cookies, which are our go-to, were sold out. My son did snag the last gluten free breakfast cookie. My daughter opted for a blueberry muffin while I had the pineapple banana bread. Both were good but not quite as good as our usual breakfast cookies. The gluten free breakfast cookie was put in a bag along with the non-gluten free items, which was a little concerning.
I'm glad that I had the opportunity to support a small business and look forward to returning again!
The gluten free cheesecake was amazing. My bf almost regretted getting the tiramisu but it was just as good to him. The drinks are great too, not too sweet but not bland. Staff was friendly and helped with recommendations too. The whole place is calm and lots of art and fixtures to admire. My favorite little cafe to come to when I visit from DC.
My hands down FAV place in Asheville for lunch. The Reuben in gluten free bread is FANTASTIC! With gluten restrictions in my diet, I was over the moon to find a place that offered this- only place I have EVER found a gluten free Reuben. The corner beef is lean, juicy, and DELISH! I always ask for extra pickles on the side, and they oblige with no problem. Fast, friendly, and fresh! Lots of great sides too, which change daily. I have never had ANYTHING from there that was bad. And, they are reasonably priced for AVL. They also offer half sandwiches too for a lighter appetite. Do yourself a favor and grab some lunch there next time you're in town!
I love this community coffee shop. It has a great vibe. It's across the street from my office, so I don't have to worry about parking. They have great murals on the walls and support local artists by allowing them to sell their goods at the store. They even give a cash discount and one for bringing your own coffee cup too. Thank you for the service. I wish the gluten free items lasted longer into the day, but that's just a testament to how yummy they are. Many thanks.
I absolutely love this drive-through coffee shop! Friendly staff, an assortment of gluten-free/dairy free pastries, delicious house made syrups, and most importantly, amazing coffee! The convenience of drive through is amazing too!
Coffee here is excellent! Especially the cold brew and Mexican mocha. Mellow vibe and the music is just right. Their vegan/gluten free bread (I think it was apple/carrot) was super yummy too! We also love that there was a solid selection of non-coffee drinks.
This is a great place to get a taste of Asheville and enjoy good southern cooking with a creative twist! I got the pork and WOW! I love honey and hot sauce, so this was absolutely perfect for me. With my gluten, dairy and sugar issues, there weren't a LOT of options, most things are fried (which my friends loved). But the pork was safe, fries, collard greens and a few other things.. just not a ton of options for my allergies. Cub took care of us and he was really efficient, cool, and made sure our waters stayed full (which was perfect cause we were dehydrated). They have a good bit of outdoor seating (shaded) and tons of space inside- along with a nice bar. If you're looking for a lunch or decent meal downtown, this is worth a stop! Spent about 30$ for a nice meal with 2 sides.
Such a fun bakery! Amazing espresso, and their gluten free tea cakes (financiers, I think) were the best gluten free pastries I've ever had at a bakery
Landed in Asheville and looked for a coffee shop... thank goodness for this place! Everyone (employees and guests) were all ao friendly. It was such an inclusive vibe, bright, but cozy. I felt welcome and jumped into trying a beverage I normally wouldn't have, but I am happy to report that my blind faith in this coffee shop was warranted. The gluten free goodies were also a nice treat. Thank you for a wonderful experience!
A major highlight of our long weekend in Asheville. As someone with multiple food allergies (soy, dairy, gluten, among others), I fully expected to sit back during the chocolate tasting without anything to try. I was so wrong! The staff accommodated me beautifully for the tasting and I was even able to pick up a few treats while in store! The tour was amazing and so fun for my kids. They were engaged and fascinated the entire time. Don't miss the factory tour. It's wonderful! Yes, the chocolate is expensive, but once you take the tour, you'll realize why. This is a far cry from Hershey's- you'll never look at chocolate the same! Thanks for being so accommodating and for cultivating such a welcoming atmosphere. We'll be back!
This is my favorite cafe in the city. I live in Hendo and I love coming out to the Mosaic Cafe! I have a severe gluten allergy and Iâm always safe eating here. Great food, great coffee, great serviceâ All around great spot!!

After we toured the Biltmore, my wife and I stopped at the Bake Shop for KahlĂșa hot chocolate and cookies. They even had a gluten free butterscotch cookie that she could have. Tasty treats for sure.
Amazing lattes here. Every drink has been so good. I will say I wish they had more interesting sandwich combos. Like salmon, cream cheese, avocados, leafy greens, etc. Or more sweet options. Lol maybe one day I'll try the king sandwich even though I am slightly puzzled about the ingredients.
Service was friendly and quick. Wish there were some chairs at the tables for couples XD. Most importantly tho, the beignets ofc are delicous and I like that they have options for gluten free hash browns if a customer is inclined.
Great coffee, good seasonal latte options. Friendly staff. Happened upon a clothing swap they were hosting, and it was nice to look through.
Only gluten free option was overnight oats, which I typically don't enjoy, but they were delicious!

I love the veggie burger on a delicious gluten free bun! I also love their raspberry gelato.
This has been one of my favorite spots for years. I always go for a brewed coffee and gluten-free baked good, and usually end up buying art from a local vendor. It's a perfectly curated vibe, and I always try to make sure I stop by when passing through from out of town.
Sweet little spot. The coffee was delicious! There's gluten free goodies stored separately and oat milk for the coffee, if you have allergen issues.
The wonderful human who made our coffee was so nice and the atmosphere was so pleasant!
