Love a place with a dedicated gluten free fryer!! And the food is so delicious! Ive had their regular buns and the GF with my celiac daughter and I actually like their GF buns more than the regular ones. The buns have a pancake-like texture but I prefer it!
I’m so grateful we have a healthy and casual cafe in the Juanita Village area! I’m gluten- and dairy-free, and I have no problem finding dining options. The food always tastes healthy and fresh.
I think the price is fair for the quality. I always have leftovers to take home, but I have a small to medium appetite.
The sustainable packaging is great, and I love the snack options.
The zucchini matcha muffin is delicious!
My favorite meal is the vegetable and rice bowl, but the chicken sandwich and the breakfast sandwich is also delicious.
I removed a star for the atmosphere: it’s better since they walled off the pharmacy/practitioner area but it’s still cold and a bit clinical inside. Either there’s no background music at all, or it’s internet radio with ads and synthesized instruments. Sometimes I feel like I’m interrupting some of the staff (but other staff members are friendly).
Still, it’s one of my favorite places to meet a friend for breakfast or lunch. I never feel hurried, and I always feel good after I eat there. It’s often pretty quiet inside; I hope they get good business so they can stay here for years to come!
I ordered a latte and it was warm, not hot. Someone else made it for me and said he would make it extra hot, but it was also just warm. I just wanted a hot latte that I could sip at the beginning, but both of their attempts returned one that I could have immediately gulped down. On the plus side, the latte did taste great.
The people are really nice and the leaf pattern on the top of the latte was very impressive.
They also have a bunch of pastries, but all of their gluten-free options had already sold out when I was there in the early afternoon. I would try other places around nearby before I go back to this place.

My friend Jennifer who is a very selective person regarding food ingredients approves of this place! We had an amazing gluten free vegan dinner & loved everything! Highly recommended. Thank you to the awesome staff for all of your hard work.
Visited Cafe Veloce for the first time yesterday and WILL BE BACK. We came with a small group for lunch yesterday and it was wonderful. Fun space, Gluten Free pasta options and exceptional service! Such a great experience!!
Pros: Amazing food! Gluten free great bread! Fun drinks, extremely good prices. All in all a great place I go to frequently. Some customers don't like the customer service, but I've always had a good experience with them. Always friendly, quick, and efficient with me. I appreciate the staff.
Cons: Very dirty, ceiling over the kitchen, walls, and seats really need to be cleaned. Maybe hire a cleaner once a month to do a deep clean 🤷🏼.
So many yummy gluten-free treats! Bars (the cream cheese coconut is to die for), cookies, cupcakes, cake, etc. And the service was friendly. Definitely one of my new favorite spots to satisfy my sweet tooth.
Absolutely glowing review for Deru!
From the moment we contacted Deru for our wedding cake, we knew we were in excellent hands. Lezlie's professionalism and genuine care were evident from the start. We opted for their signature carrot cake, and it was, without exaggeration, the best carrot cake we've ever tasted. It was moist, flavorful, and absolutely divine – we are still receiving compliments from our guests weeks later!
The logistics of delivering to the Space Needle take a little extra care, but Lezlie handled it with grace and punctuality. She arrived precisely on time, ensuring our cake was perfectly placed and ready for our celebration.
What truly set Deru apart was their attentiveness to our guests' dietary needs. We had guests with a tree nut allergy and others requiring gluten-free options. Lezlie thoughtfully recommended a delicious mini chocolate cake for the nut allergy, which was a huge hit. For our gluten-free guests, she offered their incredible jam drop cookies, which were equally raved about. This level of personalized service and consideration was beyond our expectations.
Our florist added some simple flowers to the cake, which complemented its natural beauty perfectly. The cake itself was a masterpiece, and Deru's attention to detail made it a truly unforgettable part of our wedding.
If you're looking for a wedding cake that not only tastes incredible but is also crafted with care and personalized service, look no further than Deru. They exceeded our wildest expectations, and we wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone seeking a truly exceptional dessert experience. Thank you, Lezlie and the entire Deru team, for making our wedding day so sweet!
It is a cozy place, their servers are GREAT! Nice service... it is a nice "I want to have a quick dinner date" kind of place... I just love going there to meet with friends for a quick dinner on a weekday, plus their gluten free personal pizza is awesome!
The only ice cream worth eating🍦
Love that they ask you about allergies when you line up. I’m celiac and they are always happy to go take a fresh scoop from the back to reduce contamination risk.
Also super convenient to order your pints ahead of time and skip the line!
I've been going to The Box for several years now - the food is delicious and the people are awesome! I was so glad I found out they cater. I ordered some of my favorites for the holidays - miso glazed salmon, chicken karaage, chop chop salad, and kalua pork hum baos. Not only did it save me the stress of cooking, I got a lot of compliments on the food. (One tip - by keeping the hum bao toppings and bread separate, the bread didn't get soggy and both my guest who was gluten-free as well as my guest who didn't eat pork really enjoyed the hum baos.) I was also able to order gluten-free chicken and salmon. Thank you Reis and Sanita - you guys are the BEST!
Decided to try a new burger place in Kirkland. I thought the burgers were good but I really liked the thin cut fries. They also had a gluten free option for my wife so that is a plus.
I love this place. I almost always get the chicken bowl, which you can request to be mild, medium or extra spicy. The chicken is very moist and flavorful and the garlic sauce is divine. They have delicious food and are accommodating to those who can’t either gluten or dairy/egg. It’s great how they label which items are gluten free / dairy free on the online menu. The only strange thing is that I’m unsure if/when they sell baba ghanoush, which I would order every time if I could. It is unavailable to order online but I did order it in-person once (the worker added for me as I was not able to locate it on the ordering system), so they must have it sometimes? I’m unclear as to what’s going on there. Would be nice to have all the time.
Tasty pizza, when they get your order right.
Been ordering from here for several years as they're the only pizza place with gluten free options, but more than 50% of the time the order is incorrect and needs to either be refunded or redelivered. Wish I could recommend them more but this issue has been consistent the entire time I've ordered from them.
I recently had stopped in on my lunch break to grab a to-go order here and had a great experience. I asked the very kind lady at the front desk for her order recommendation and she was excited to give me details about some of their popular dishes. I went with the Tonkotsu Shoyu and was very impressed, the broth was thick and rich and the pork serving was of good size and very tender with the perfect amount of fat. Also, upon inspecting the menu I noticed that they also have a Gluten Free noodle option! This means both myself and my girlfriend can enjoy the food here, huge plus!!
Even with all the September forest fire smoke blocking the visibility of Lake Washington it was still a great spot to enjoy excellently prepared seafood. The menu was pared down from Covid but there were still great options that made it easy to choose gluten and dairy-free options.
I ordered a regular gluten-free sub and they tried to sell me a sub that was 4" long for $13.50. pff. That's almost smaller than their mini sub. When I asked about it the guy who made it got very defensive and argumentative. I just walked out of the store :-( I'm quite shocked at the horrendous customer service.
We had the pate, duck confit and watermelon salad. The pate was great and the server was very accommodating to bring us extra bread and gluten free options. The duck confit was perfectly cooked and fell off the bone and the watermelon salad was one of the best I’ve ever tried.

Very busy when we went but extremely quick service considering that! Gluten free friendly, very customizable options, and nice drink options. They don’t offer typical soda but their options are nice (San pelligrino’s limonata was a delight to see) (also there’s a Whole Foods nearby if you want a different drink)
Delicious pizza, got take out, gluten free Quentin florentino. It’s an olive oil base and the crust was the best gf I’ve had. I’ve had pizza in MN, IL, MO, CA and FL. Just visiting and now I’m sad I won’t get it at home. Our server was very helpful and friendly. Even taking a pic of the gf ingredients to show me. My husband got regular mushroom pizza and loved it too. You won’t regret it!
Definitely not a mom and pop pho place but still really tasty. I appreciated all the gluten free options that were clearly marked. Pho is pretty good but I loved their vermicelli noodle bowl.
Service was great and fast. Although, the ordering system is all tablet based.
Personally, my wife and I driver over 45 minutes to get here as often as possible. We love how the chicken is grilled and the garlicky spices.
Everything tastes great our our favorites is Diablo Chicken, Algerian Chicken, hummus and the homemade salad dressing.
One thing you have to keep in mind if you don't like garlic this is the wrong place, other wise this is he's in on earth for the rest of us.
Lastly, they have many gluten free options.
Its okay, but certainly not my style. Just not a lot of variety for meat eaters who aren't vegetarian or are needing gluten free foods. The Cuban sandwich was pretty good, bit surprised by pickles which I wasn't told about. Overall 3/5. Not bad.
A lovely, new store filled w exceptional produce, a well-stocked deli and tasty bakery, and many organic as well as vegan and gluten-free food options. Your stomach will thank you for choosing fresh, whole foods.
Quality sushi, quality service! Gluten free? Just tell a member of the staff! Many GF options and they even have Tamari!
Sockeye nigiri, chu-toro nigiri, Alaskan roll, California roll, truffle scallop roll, I could go on and on! Everything is delicious! Bonus, a fun and friendly staff!
First of all, it is NOT "$" restaurant. $28 appetizer and $26 shawarma, which is basically street food and $6 drinks do not quality as "$". More like $$$.
For $6 we got glass of coke which was barely 8 oz and half ice. Next, I told waitress that my daughter is celiac and we need gluten free. So hold the bread please and bring us shawarma without pita, just chicken salad and fries. Next thing happens she bring appetizer plate with bread AND puts bread in front of my celiac daughter. WTH???
To add insult to injure we were charged $3 each for the shawarma "as salad". Basically they hold bread for $3 extra. ONLY DISCOVERED ON FINAL CHECK. Asked why, the answer was "This is how we do it".
If you want to be ripped off and get street food for two for over $100, be my guest. The food was not particularly different from typical Mediterranean outlet, we can get BETTER meat, salad, rice and hummus for like $20 per person including tax and tip.
Absolutely delicious macarons that are gluten free and the cashier is absolutely amazing. Incredible customer service. Super welcoming and they just brighten up your day with their kindness. It's the small things that mean the most.
The gluten free lemon raspberry was delicious. They could have gotten five stars from me if I didn't have to yell in the back, twice, for somebody to come out and serve me. Also would be really nice to get a fork and knife. I tend to enjoy my desserts right away. I'll probably skip going to this location in the future.
They have been kind enough to make a few dishes gluten free on request. So if you have gluten sensitivity, just let them know and it doesn't show up on the menu.
Good food. Fun view where you can see the boats come in. Accommodate my celiac well, have not gotten sick and have eaten here 2-4 times.
Only 4 stars because I requested a window seat that was open but was denied because somebody already checked in. Even though no one was sitting there 🤷🏼♀️
My husband brought home a gluten free pizza with no dairy cheese, just goat cheese. It was probably the best gluten free crust I've ever had! Great pizza, would totally go back again!
Dosa was the highlight for us, very soft and buttery. The coconut chutney was delicious and the sambar was flavorful and had a good amount of spice. The butter chicken was good, would get it again, could have a bit more flavor. Naan was fluffy. Chai was tasty but they don’t offer masala chai. Lots of their menu was gluten free for those with an allergy:) Definitely recommend!
Food is pretty good! Ambience is great too however it is kind of small so sometimes there is a wait, especially when it’s the summer! Otherwise great and I like to take my friends here. Also great gluten free choices and they take it pretty seriously.
