Just had dinner there and was amazing! Best GF pizza, pasta, and Nutella crepe! As well as regular pasta for the family too! Definitely worth checking out. Serve and staff were great.
First time in the restaurant, the owner knows how to offer excellent gluten-free and non-gluten-free choices (and also make you laugh, Forza Roma!!). Excellent food and cooked to perfection, great job!
We had an incredible meal. Al dente pasta with amazing sauces. Gluten-free options are available! The service was exceptional. We were treated with such kindness and warmth. The dining room is very warm and peaceful. And we loved the music they played, as well as the house wine. I highly recommend it :)
Great restaurant with very friendly staff! The food was excellent, including gluten-free options. The portions were generous, and we felt completely at home.
A cozy, beautiful place with super close and pleasant workers. Alejandra is the best thing about the restaurant. Very good food. Homemade pasta and the gluten-free one is very good too. They have been open for 1 month and it seems like they have been open all their lives. I would repeat without thinking about it!!
We were served by Mema, an excellent waiter who provided excellent service, fast and attentive. The food was exquisite, some of the best gluten-free pasta I've ever tried. There are gluten-free options, both pasta and other dishes, except pizza. We really liked it; this is our second visit, and we'll definitely be back.
Carbonara rated 10 and praise (and mine was gluten-free)!
The quality of all the products and the kindness of the staff make the difference,
Recommended place also for those who are celiac, you won't feel the difference!
Excellent experience
We came here two nights in a row it was so good! They have gluten free pasta available. We went with seafood dishes and they were all excellent. The gluten free chocolate dessert was also delicious
After a week in Rome and having tried many restaurants in Trastevere, finally a fantastic restaurant!!! Excellent and fresh food. Excellent and friendly service - they even accommodated my wife who has celiac disease and she ate very well. So good we're going back on Friday!
We were 4 people and had great food and service… they even have gluten free options for one of us who was finally able to have a good plate of pasta without gluten. We left very happy
Great food, quick and friendly service. Gluten free pasta options were delicious too! 5% service charge added to the bill is clearly indicated on the menu. Food prices are refreshing, no wonder there is a long line! Only negative is that drink prices are high.
Very good gluten free pasta (and bread!) Very friendly and I was able to change my reservation to be outside (just had to wait 20 mins). So worth it to people watch and feel the energy of the area.
A fantastic meal from start to finish!! My favorite meal in Rome. I have a gluten intolerance and their GF pasta was so great and the atmosphere is so special. I sent them a DM on instagram to make a reservation.
I don't know how many times we've been here, and I love it! The waiters are generally friendly despite the constant flow of people.
It's a large place, with two floors inside and a terrace, so groups come in!
Everything we've tried has been delicious: pizza, pasta, gluten-free options, tiramisu, and a glass of wine (I don't recommend the calimocho because some of our neighbors ordered it, and it seems like it had too much wine, but you have to order Italian food!). Good prices. Depends on what you order, of course! But it's around €15 for a dish and a drink.
Downstairs, there's a "Bocca de la Veritá" (a mouthful of real food)!! 😁
Definitely... WE'LL BE BACK!
As you can see from my past reviews I'm extremely generous, but this time I have some things to say. Food is ok. fine for international tourists but certainly not memorable in the Trastevere area. I tried the veggie patties/burgers and they had no flavor. I recommend the pastas more, at least the fettuccine with mushrooms was good. Having said that, I appreciate the fact that they also offer some options for vegans and celiacs. The waitress who served us was very kind and nice, however the owner was really rude and attacked me in the face and was grumpy. Sorry but I think good manners are something to maintain even after you pay the bill🤷🏻♀️. I would have come back but not after this
Beautiful restaurant in Trastevere. We enjoyed a very nice family dinner with a perfect service. The food was of very high and self made quality - gluten free was no problem at all. Very nice wine recommendations.
The staff was very friendly and warm. Food was delicious and their menu is well marked for gluten free food (and allergens in general). Can't recommend enough!
UNFORGETTABLE MISTAKE
We went to this restaurant and chose the tasting menu and something VERY SERIOUS happened, which had never happened before in 20 years, not even in the messiest restaurants.
They switched dishes between me and my husband (celiac), so he ate half the course of gluten-filled pasta before we noticed.
The staff didn't even apologize properly, in fact they said that "unfortunately it shouldn't happen but it does happen every now and then".
My husband was sick all night.
These things can easily be avoided with small precautions:
- gluten-free dishes intended for a celiac person should be recognizable (through a different dish for example)
- the waiter serving a table should always be the same (4 different waiters served us and the one who exchanged the dishes was the sommelier).
Beyond this huge mistake, the food didn't make us crazy, it plays a lot on very tasty sauces that often cover the flavors of the food, nothing to do with other restaurants of the same level we've been to.
Place beautiful, service perfect, food outstanding. Pizza and pasta gluten free delicious and one of the cheapest places we have dinner in Rome. They do not even charge extra for gluten free as most other places. 100% recommended
Great place, very good food, we had no problems even eating gluten-free, the staff was very helpful and friendly, especially the guy who served us, I seem to remember his name is Sergio. In short, everything was great, if it happens again I will return
Excellent cuisine, impeccable staff. A taste experience that is difficult to find in Rome. Options (and great attention) also for celiacs. Highly recommended.
I went to Osteria della Trippa for dinner as a couple. Cuisine and ingredients are local and there are many offal-based dishes. The wine list is well stocked, again all local, and there are many natural wines to choose from. You can order pasta and numerous gluten-free options, including dessert. We ordered the fried tripe (excellent), the pajata, the roast beef, potatoes and coral beans, plus two desserts. All very good, compliments to the chefs! The only negative note was the bread for 2 euros, but fortunately I was in the company of a celiac girl ;)
Visiting Italy from the states, was only in Rome one night and wanted a great dinner of traditional Roman food, and Checco Er Carettiere came highly recommended from one of our taxi drivers. My god was it great! From the food, the ambience and the entertainment, what a night! English speaking server helped with great gluten free options for my girlfriend who is intolerant (at least in the states). From the wine, the cacio e pepe, carbonara and lamb scottadito, it was exceptional! The kicker was the 2-man guitar/bass entertainment that were absolutely phenomenal. Wish we knew their names to follow on social. Will definitely be back when in Rome again.
For those who have celiac disease like me, you know how difficult it is to find a restaurant with good gluten-free food. Here you will find true Roman cuisine, even gluten-free... dishes rich in flavour, from appetizers to desserts! With the family following us (2 adults and 1 little girl), we ordered: "courgette flowers" (delicious!), "cheese and pepper puff pastry chips" (what a surprise!), "fried meatballs with homemade sauces" ( top!), "meatballs amatriciana" (complete with slipper); "spaghetti and half rigatoni all'amatriciana" could not be missing and finally a mouth-watering "tiramisu".
Digestive (very good!) offered by the staff, the girls always super helpful and very kind throughout the service.
In short, we will definitely be back... well done!!
