The best gluten free and vegan cheese pizza I've had in the area in a long time! Crust isn't the cheap already made thin crust so many places use for GF it tastes like it's made in house! đđ

So good! So many choices! My friend and I came here on a Wednesday evening and it was packed. We were seated at the bar quickly. Lucas was our server and he was awesome! I have to be careful about what I eat, since Iâm gluten free. Lucas was knowledgeable and assured me that what I was ordering wouldnât make me sick. As he put it âwelcome homeâ đ The drinks were amazing and the tacos were fantastic. Charles came over at some point to help other customers and he was super attentive to them as well. Weâll definitely be back!
Yum! Another great find thanks to the Find Me Gluten Free app. They make their own gf crust for pizza and the bartender noted that they take allergies very seriously with an earnest effort to not cross contaminate food. They were so kind and helpful from the host to service and made exactly what I asked for with no gluten. The crust had a little grainy aftertaste but overall this was a stellar experience. From the first step in to the kitschy decor to the fun team members, I highly recommend this for solo, date night, or friendly get-togethers
I was very happy to see that they offer vegan and gluten-free options, and when I asked what exactly those were, the lady taking my order said most of the dishes can be modified to be vegan and/or gluten-free! So I got the Pad See Ew, which is a dish I usually can't order because it is traditionally neither vegan nor gluten-free.
It was perhaps a tad bit on the bland side (I assume as a result of omitting ingredients like fish sauce that can't be substituted) - mainly just the tofu that was bland, because the noodles and vegetables tasted pretty good. Very enjoyable. And a good sized portion for the price, which made me especially happy because I was so hungry.
I would have to try some of their other dishes to get a better idea of their food since it's hard to judge a place off of just one thing.
The dining area inside is small and nothing terribly fancy, but it was comfortable enough. I came for lunch shortly after they'd opened so it wasn't that busy (a couple of people were finishing up their meal, and a couple people came in to order take-out).
To sumarize Rainbow Thai in one word, AMAZING! It's a shame there are only 5 stars to give because Rainbow Thai deserves more.
This is the best place to go for Thai Curry, my favorite is the red curry which I'd rate as the best I've tried out of anywhere I've traveled in the US and internationally.
Also Rainbow Thai is a great place for vegetarians and celiacs to eat since many items are naturally gluten free, they have also listed gluten free items on their menu. I have celiac disease and I'm able to eat here which is a reason that I'll continue to eat here, it's great food and I feel safe eating here, something that's very hard to find!
For anyone who doesn't know what celiac disease is, certain grains such as wheat trigger the immune system to attack the gut and damage the lining of the intestines, making it hard to absorb nutrients and causing many terrible symptoms that can last for weeks and months after being exposed.
So this is why it's really important to have truly gluten free food, even a very small amount of gluten can cause internal damage and symptoms. I'm really glad I can trust Rainbow Thai because their food is excellent and I won't get sick from eating here.
A+++
Delicious! I am gluten sensitive and their Gluten free items are clearly labeled on their menu which is always appreciated. They accommodated me with a bun-less Walrus Burger Smash Burger that was super yummy!
Beautiful place! It's a cafe/bar restaurant inside of a beautiful plant shop with elegant decor, candles, soaps, lotions and so much more. The food and drinks were fantastic. I came to visit a friend who works there at the restaurant. I will definitely visit again. Best of all they had gluten free, and vegan options.
I'm vaguely shamefaced about writing this review. When I want a burger, I want 5 Guys. The soft, fresh bun compresses when I grab the burger and it sandwiches a juicy but not-too-meaty or -thick patty, American cheese, pickles, sauteed onions and sauteed mushrooms, and it becomes so much more than the sum of its parts. An ode to 5 Guys burgers, I guess! But there are another 15 or so toppings to choose from, and they'll also make it gluten-free with huge, crunchy iceberg lettuce leaves in place of the bun (which is quite good in its own right, even if someone isn't gf). Their fries are the best in the fast food business, no contest: fresh potatoes with their skin still on, fried to a golden brown and served in a paper bag that shows spots of oil from being thrown right in from the fryer. Add to that bottomless refills on salty peanuts in the shell, scooped out of bulk boxes; about twenty soft drink options, and really solid milkshakes if there's any room left, and we have a winner. I like the Westport site a little better than the Fairfield one, but they're pretty consistent. Consistently satisfying.
Great food and service. Have to try the francese sauce and the vodka sauce as a side dish, best combination ever. Everything taste very fresh made from scratch. Options for Gluten free, whole wheat and vegetarian as well. Huge menu! Glad to still have this kind of old fashion Italian food around.
I am a vegan and the restaurant was very accommodating, there were a few pasta and salad dish options as well as gluten free. Great place to visit with friends and family, especially when dining outside along the river!
still as good as ever, pricy but worth it, especially when you know they're raising the price mostly to stay afloat. Worth it at probably 1.2x the price. tip more to make up the difference.
you'll need to destroy town property values to find a better deal in Westport for a similar level of craft, and god knows the town needs it. Pay the 20$. buy the fajitas. if you can't eat gluten they'll sub in corn tortilla no problem. Get the fajitas.
Great outdoor seating. Giant open-top patio with seating where your can eavesdrop easily but still have plenty of elbow room. Heat lamps, table umbrellas. They've been doing this for like fifty years now, they know what's up.
cyclists: no bike parking, all the street signs are wobbly because the town doesn't believe in paying for things like proper sign bedding. if the restaurant to the left still has outdoor seating, there are concrete barriers you can run a chain through and then U lock to it. slim pickings otherwise. You might be able to find somewhere to lock over where bridge market used to be, the railings near the bridge.
final say: casual restaurant-dining you could wear a suit to if you just came from the train station, but I'll definitely give you the side eye. Have seen at least one municipal meeting happen here in the past ten years. Town staple, regional stop, a thing someone I know remembered and came back to after being gone for ten years.
you can get more for the price in one of the nearby cities, but you can't really get better until maybe that venezuelan place in norwalk on the stamford side with a similar vibe about really caring about their food. the fajita chicken is just as confusingly moist and tender as it was like fifteen years ago i promise it's worth the extra 5$
The food was delicious and the the atmosphere of the restaurant was very comfortable. There were many choices for anyone requiring gluten free or vegetarian options as well as traditional fare. We were a party of nine and everyone raved about their meal. Andrea the owner was very kind and accommodating.
We recently dined in one of the outdoor "igloos" at Rizutto's and it was fantastic. Our server, Alonna, was knowledgable, friendly and just the right amount of attentive. The menu was diverse enough for a gluten-free vegetarian and a meat-eater to leave full and satisfied. (As an aside: for those with nut allergies, they don't use any nuts in any of their dishes). The igloo was kept warm thanks to the heaters and full of ambiance from clever lighting. We will definitely be returning.
Awesome spot for authentic Mediterranean food. Lots of choices, all made from scratch. Their fluffy pitas are dangerously tasty. I got the shawarma plate and the chicken and meat were both succulent. Fair prices and clean place. You have to try their gluten free cookies too. Thereâs a reason people were lining up on a Tuesday. Canât wait to be back!
Straight As for Tengda!! This restaurant is our consistent go-to for delicious Pan-Asian food and sushi in Westport & FF County. The ingredients are always fresh and the taste never disappoints our foodie palettes & high-standards. A big bonus for our family is that the menu offers plenty of Gluten Free options and the kitchen takes food allergies seriously and attentively. The atmosphere is cozy, relaxing and inviting. The owners are gracious hosts and the service is always pleasant. Definitely give this place a visit if you already havenât!!!
Thank you Chef Chris!!!
Everything was incredible (shout-out to the ramen, the hamachi, the citrus scallops, and the cabbage salad) and their allergy accomodation was insanely well done. We had gluten free, dairy free and sulfite free people at the table.
The yuzu-cucumber drink with everything felt like .. a wine pairing? It matched and elevated everything. But it was alcohol free!
Our server was knowledgeable, helpful and fun.
Incredibly delicious and flavorful food. The chef reviewed the menu with our server ahead of time to identify the safe and modifiable options for celiac and dairy allergy; they even made the polenta that accompanied my dish using olive oil and herbs instead of butter and cream!
Kiera was so helpful making sure my allergy needs were met. I love that I can get Gluten free/dairy free delicious options at Cava. Cashier was very pleasant also! Would go back to this location, the friend I introduced to Cava us hooked!!!
Attended an absolutely beautiful and elegant event on Dec 30th and was absolutely blown away by the quality of both the food and staff. Immediately upon arrival we were greeted by incredibly friendly and attentive staff and were offered drinks. Prior to the event start, a waitress came around to refill our glasses and made sure we were set so as not to leave during the event. For dinner, I ordered the chicken and my husband ordered the gnocchi, both of which were absolutely delicious, and even my husband who is not a huge mushroom fan devoured the gnocchi. Additionally I want to add that the staff was incredibly competent with food allergies and restrictions. I have celiac and the waitress was very on top of making sure I knew my options and was able to safely enjoy the food. When the dessert trays came out, she came right up to me and showed me exactly which desserts I was able to enjoy. I truly have no complaints about any part of the wonderful night. Will definitely be returning to this wonderful establishment!
I stopped in today for breakfast and coffee - great experience. I ordered a sausage, egg, and cheese sandwich on a gluten-free roll, and a large iced coffee. The breakfast sandwich was fantastic and one one of the best gluten-free rolls I've had. The coffee was excellent. They have a new communal table which was inviting so we sat down - atmosphere is inviting and enjoyable. Thanks OMG team - we will be back!
Highly Recommend!!! Exceptional authentic Israeli food in Westport!!! As an American Israeli who lived in Israel my wife and I fell in love with The Blondinit! The food is incredibly fresh & bursting with flavor - and the atmosphere is wonderful with Israeli music playing in the background! It truly reminds us of sitting in a restaurant in Tel Aviv.
Weâve been several times over the last few weeks and have now made The Blondinit part of our frequent rotation! The pita, Israeli salad, babaganoush, labne, and pargiot are delicious!!! And the chocolate cake (which is also gluten free) - just wow. We keep looking for a good excuse to head over to Westport from NY and now we finally have it!!
Solomon (the owner) is always a pleasure to speak with whenever we stop by!!
We canât wait to head back again soon and really canât recommend them highly enough!!
The food here is really yummy and super great quality. I had a bunch of nigiri, a hand roll, and steak for my main (which was cooked and seasoned perfectly).
Also love that they had some mocktails on the drinks menu, which were really good as well. Another cool thing - all of their tempura is gluten free, fried in a separate fryer. I think it would be great for them to include âgfâ next to gluten free options on their menu!
The ambiance was nice, good place for a date or small group gathering. Service was great as well. Canât wait to go back!
