We happened into Fortunate Son last night. It was an experience that was one that helped me remember that sometimes the best plans are no plans. We were able to grab two seats at the bar, which is full service. Our bartender, Lucas, took amazing care of us. He and the rest of the staff we encountered were a master class on hospitality and service. Our drinks were creative, layered, and balanced. As for the food, I tasted passion for the craft in every bite. I have sampled gluten free pizza crusts at nearly every major spot in the DFW metro, and can loudly proclaim this place as the best one. The potato and pancetta pie was a delight. Dipped in ranch, as suggested by a server, made my Midwest heart nearly burst. My boyfriend ordered a classic pepperoni, and it was reportedly superb. I was gifted a bite of pep, which was perfectly roasted and shatteringly crunchy. The chef salad was even an elevated experience, and should be ordered by any salad and charcuterie girly that enters. It was abundantly clear that this is a place where care has been taken in every corner. It is the type of joint that makes you want to be a regular, and we certainly hope to be among that crowd. TLDR: superb service, eats, and drinks. Phenomenal gluten-free crust to boot!

This is tucked away at the back north side of Firewheel mall. I originally thought it was a semi fast food place but decided to try it a few months ago because they have multiple gluten free options. I was so pleasantly surprised by this restaurant! It is more akin to a nice restaurant-great atmosphere, amazing waitstaff, the music is not too loyd so you can still talk to each other. The food is amazing. This is my new favorite place to eat. Everything I’ve had has been delicious. The crispy Brussels sprouts, roasted chicken, falafel, tomato soup. The coffee crème brûlée is something my husband I have craved since we tried it the first time. All of it has been so great. My husband and I have been back multiple times in the last few months. Our waiter remembered exactly how I ordered the chicken last time we went! I can not say enough good things about this place.

The wonder twins DAT and Jonathan took my order with the speed of a hurricane. Managing to read it back to me before I was even able to say it! How is that even possible!?!?!? The friendly greeter was sweeping up the floor not even mad at the pog like customers throwing fries like some kind of food fighting ninjas. I haven't even recieved my food but I already know the protein style burger will be gluten free, my triple triple will barely be able to fit onto the bun, and my cheeseburger will be manageable and delicious. The employees run around with smiles and determined looks as they pretend to be happy so convincingly I think.... maybe they are happy. If they are miserable they should go into acting cause they nailed the part! Happy joy as they close in on my number, lucky 18. If I was in Vegas I'd bet it all on 18 to win! Great place to eat, great atmosphere, great employee attitudes. Good job wonder twins and the guy who called my number, I didn't catch his name but his hair mesmorized me with the highlights of a island God and humble attitide of a island native making sure I was happy and pleased with my visit. You guys should start a resort... maybe you already have.
