Having been to Saravanaa bhavan in Delhi, London and paris, I had high hopes of Amsterdam as well, but oh well. It was a mild experience much at lower level than all my previous experiences.
I was very surprised that this branch is only one who couldn't cater to gluten free dosa (GF). I mean can't complain it had many other options that were GF but I go this restaurant for my dosa not to have a North Indian meal. The restaurant didn't look or feel very appealing though the staff were very warm, served us with a smile on their face. I might retrun for service but over all, food was a miss for me.
Really delicious food! Super friendly staff and a very relaxed atmosphere. The food tasted like I was in Sri Lanka for a while. Delicious 🤩 super good at preparing gluten-free food.

The most delicious and authentic Indian food eaten in the Netherlands so far!!! And unexpectedly a delicious gluten-free Naan. Can't wait for my next visit😋
Best curry I've ever eaten. I ate dinner there together with my wife, we had chicken tandoori and chicken curry and both were delicious. Lots of gluten-free options. Highly qualified and helpful staff. Excellent value for money!
With dietary restrictions, travel can be challenging, so it means a lot to me when a restaurant has vegan, gluten-free options. The vegetable biryani rice serving was enough for both of us to have for two meals. We loved the veggie pakoras and cauliflower pakoras, and I especially enjoyed the vegan raita which is the first time I've had raita since developing an allergy to dairy. My husband has no restrictions and he enjoyed a chicken tandoori appetizer. We liked the papadams also. I'd never had the tofu-based chicken and tried it with a coconut curry, and discovered that I prefer curried vegetables, but it was not bad, if you like that texture which approximates chicken.
It was my first time and i was very happy about all the care the waiter put on my gluten free order, he was very helpfull and he explained everything for me. I eat the chicken biryani and the moni roti (kind of flat herbal bread) and it was so good, the portion was also very big (could not finish it) and the price was fine also, not too expensive for the amount of food. I was very please with the restaurant over all.
Great food, many gluten free options. As a celiac I've eaten in the restaurant in person, and I've ordered takeaway here as well. Delicious every time! Almost anything on the menu is gluten free, I'm guessing 90-95%. The naan and a few battered/pastry things are not glute free unfortunately. Spicyness level is adapted to Dutch people so don't be scared to order a lil spicy.
Delicious and flavorful! Perfect level of spice and friendly service. Very knowledgeable about food allergies, nearly everything on the menu is gluten free.
Vegan heaven! You can ask for most of the dishes to be prepared in a vegan version. Also gluten free available on request. Food is delicious and people working there very friendly. We had potatoes in spinach, tofu in mild sauce, naan with potatoes and a few more sides.
A new pearl in the center of Amsterdam… feels like an oasis of peace in a busy neighborhood. You can choose between tables or cozy seats on the floor at the back of the restaurant... A nice nod to Nepalese culture.
Super delicious food, cozy atmosphere and very friendly service. The owner took the time to greet you and explain the concept (full explanation of the dishes about what gluten/lactose free is!)
Very reasonable in price. Great experience. Highly recommended!
Delicious food! Extensive choice. Friendly staff. Perfect for eating #glutenfree with #celiac disease. Just don't sit downstairs in winter. Door does not close properly. Really cold. Otherwise delicious!
What a great restaurant Sizz is! The staff is very sweet, the restaurant looks beautiful and the food is really tasty. Also lots of gluten-free options. I would definitely recommend a shared dining 🙌🏻

I've gone here many times, and we ordered delivery from here plenty of times too. The food was great every time and the staff is great. Many dishes are gluten free, and clearly labelled on the menu which is very useful.

Staff were so friendly and attentive. Very allergen aware and many gluten free options.
The food was all so good and tasty. My partner and I felt awful for not being able to finish everything we ordered. It's a pity we were staying in a hotel with no fridge because the staff offered to box up the leftovers.
We were given some popadoms that were delicious with cumin seeds - staff confirmed gluten free and made with chickpea flour.
My partner had veggie samosas while I had the Paneer chili (so tasty and flavorful) - my partner asked for some of my chili veggies and was blown away by the spice and flavour!
For mains my partner had the chicken tikka masala with rice and a naan, while I had the Dal Bhaat Tarkari Kukhura ko Masu ra Palungo (chicken and spinach Nepalese main dish). We were too full to contemplate a dessert.
Forgot to take photos or was all so good!
I have to eat gluten free. That is neatly arranged but very little choice. Are you gluten free? Then don't look forward to the dishes on the menu. Many delicious-looking dishes cannot be gluten-free. Advice.... Only have sushi if you have celiac disease. Main courses (1 meat, 1 vegetarian and 2 fish, there was a choice) not really seasoned. The delicious sauce that came with it was not gluten-free.
The sushi was very tasty and beautifully presented. Although the Spicy tuna was not spicy at all, I probably left out the sauce without mentioning it. The scoppino was much sweeter than I know it to be.
I thought it was very expensive in comparison. 120 euros with 2 people. I have regularly had better meals for 20 euros less lately.
Service not unfriendly but not really attentive either.
Cozy atmosphere.
Another restaurant next time on my birthday.
Great food as always! The thali and chicken Korma are my absolute favorite. 100% recommend. Gluten free and vegetarian friendly options also available

Ordered last week and it was super tasty. Tasty, spicy but not overpoweringly hot. The rice with it was also very tasty. And so nice that it was gluten free so I could enjoy it myself. We had the lamb massala

Good and tasty food and very nice staff. People with celiac disease (gluten-free) are also fine here, the staff knew what they were dealing with. Recommended!
Delicious gluten-free meal. The dal soup had a refined taste. By art, the Vegetarian is Kashmiri. Really different dishes in combination with the nice service. This restaurant remains on my list.
This is eating out. Friendly, caring service. People who do their best to also inform our 2 gluten-free eaters. Served on time and able to let us have a conversation. Ideal, where else do you find that? We obviously come for delicious Indian food and our expectations were exceeded. My personal favorite: the curry with lamb, Yum.
Little dinner with friends in this good restaurant. Very well cooked dishes, quality products and very attentive service!
They also cater for different diets (gluten-free, lactose-free, etc.)
We recommend!
Thank you so much !

Picked up the chicken madras and it was tasty, after getting the place advised by guests of mine who where gluten free Americans.
Wish they made things a bit more transparant though, the window/restaurant menu portions are a different size(so they told me), so different prize than the take away.
Online order to pick up is 10% cheaper than just walking in for pick up what is plain weird tbh (I live 100 meters from the place).
But I guess the family style restaurant is doing their best in a difficult location and the food is worth it, good indian should be cherished.
Tip for the owners, get more involved with the neighborhood, restaurants in that street need a mix of locals, visitors and tourists to run well.
all the best
ps. Anne who got 50% discount on the food and wanted free water to match, how Dutch can you be? These people need to pay the rent as well.
Excellent food for a very reasonable price! We just had the dosa but enjoyed it a lot. Vegan and most items on the menu are naturally gluten-free. Amazing!
