It was a disappointment because online it states they have gluten free pizza with designated ovens. Not only they did not have it the waitress told us it is not a gluten friendly restaurant and that there is flour flying all over the place. Being celiac I walked out. Not nice at all. Celiac friends go across the street to Acquolina. Great service, atmosphere and gluten free options.
Great service, very little wait. Pizzas were good, and love their gluten-free pizza options. Even though it’s a chain, it’s a nice place and worth the Uber!

A wonderful gem of a place in Little Italy. A family business, with the proprietors giving you a taste of real Italian humor should you give them an opening (try ordering a dry cappuccino, lol). It’s rather small and fills up fast, so plan for waiting if you’re heading there for dinner. Worth it, though. We had the Frutti de Mare Linguini (special), Lobster Ravioli and Funghi & Salsiccia pizza. They have gluten free options. Highly recommend!
Me & my girlfriend had the loveliest dinner here. I found this place because they have gluten free pasta on the menu. They offer gluten free garlic fettuccine, which I appreciated so much because I cannot have gluten & have missed eating Italian food. I believe it is made in house. Our waiter was very personable & took my diet very seriously, even telling me what I can & cannot have. We had a caesar salad to start. I loved that they came to the table & freshly grated cheese & pepper. My scallops were cooked perfectly (it is so hard to find perfect scallops) & my girlfriend was impressed with her penne vodka & garlic fries. The only thing I would improve is my pasta was a little bit too al dente - probably needed another minute in the water because it was stiff. Otherwise my meal was amazing. Dessert was out of this world. We finished off with espresso & the chocolate raspberry mousse. I felt nostalgic & a bit emotional because I used to eat at restaurants like this all the time with my family, but have been unable to due to my unfortunate gluten free diet. The check came & I was surprised at how affordable it was. All in all a wonderful experience. Thank you Fino!
Overpriced & under seasoned... the concept of a Dracula themed kind of Restaurant is kind of cool but at the same time this fails so miserably in so many ways. The $50 Count Vladimir Steak is bland and flavorless watery mashed potatoes overcooked steak such a disaster. & disappointment. You would think being that you are in San Francisco you have no gluten-free bread or gluten-free options for people who would actually want to enjoy this food. And I hope you speak Spanish because nobody here speaks English so communication is going to be difficult for most. The concept is incredible unfortunately the food falls very very flat. The flavors I had on my steak were so bland and just weird broken oily sauce made no sense whatsoever and parsley which I absolutely hate spread all over my meat. My son ordered the ravioli which was clearly store-bought Frozen and cooked so not fresh though they advertise it as fresh. Very disappointing for my gluten-free guests because all they can have is a salad. My brother ordered the lasagna which he seemed to enjoy quite a bit. My younger son ordered the cheese pizza which I must say as somebody who makes pizza it was not very good. No flavor at all basic marinara sauce. I wanted the whole experience but the meal was so bad I just had to get me the heck out of here.
What really is just awful it took us 6 1/2 hours round trip to drive to San Francisco to honor my brother for a promotion he received at work. So when you finally get out of the city which takes forever and I mean forever. Sadly all you can think about is how horrible the experience was at The stinking Rose.
This place was great, the staff were attentive and kind. I ordered Seafood Fettuccine and it was amazing. My boyfriend is gluten free and he was catered for too!
I had their 5-course tasting menu.
I shared my dietary restrictions and that I am vegetarian beforehand. And Sorrel did an excellent job at adding delicious and creative alternatives and came up with a vegetarian menu for me, keeping dietary restrictions in mind.
All the dishes were great but I particularly liked the one with root vegetables, risotto that was served with a bread with seeds/nuts since I cannot have gluten which I really enjoyed and the desert that I had very slowly because I did not want it get over :D
Sorrel also offers zero proof pairings(non-alcoholic) which I decided to go for and was the best decision for this course - this provided more variety like tea, soup and some really interesting drinks which matched so well with the food that was served. Highly recommend this.
I had a long day so I was very happy that I had dinner at Sorrel.
It did take a while for some dishes to be served, there is no waiting area and have to wait outside until they are ready, it was really difficult to get through on call with the restaurant.
As a person with celiac disease I was so excited to learn about the gluten free pizza here! The staff told me that the gluten free pizzas are prepared in a separate area and though they're cooked in the same oven, they're also cut in a designated gf area. The pizza was really delicious! They also have a bunch of apps labeled gluten free. The space is nice and airy with a lovely view of the bay. Highly recommend!
Great food. Tomato bisque was so flavorful and they had gluten free pasta that was fantastic. It didn’t break apart and had a nice form bite. A few of the staff were rude which I didn’t appreciate. It took me out of the wonderful mood I was in when we arrived. I’d definitely be back for take out but not going to dine in.

Had an amazing dinner at Caffé Sport. Our server was very friendly and assured us that the kitchen took gluten free order very seriously. That us separate water for gluten free pasta and clean the prep space for gluten free pizza. Really enjoyed our meal and would definitely recommend!
Found this place from a search for gluten free pasta. Wow, what an amazing meal. My husband was impressed and he grew up on homemade Italian food. We have never found a restaurant that could rival his Mom’s cooking, but we Roma Antica is it! The special Risotto and Short Ribs was perfect and gluten free to boot. I enjoyed every bite of my Gnocchi with Sorrentina sauce (creamy tomato with cheese). Even the roasted Brussels sprouts were delish. Not to mention the mini rice balls, just like Nonna’s. We were stuffed and took the crime brûlée cheesecake to go. The staff was so friendly and chattering in Italian. It reminded us of the cafés in Europe. We can’t wait to return.
Honestly, this is my favourite spot in SF.
For starters, the humans are terrific. Warm, kind, hilarious, and genuine.
The environment is buzzy and cozy— perfect for date night or dinner with la familia.
And then, the food! We loved the kale salad, it was a light & refreshing start to the meal. I’m gluten free, and the pizza base was definitely one of the better ones I’ve had! Hot honey pizza is a must.
We can’t wait to come back, and we’re so glad we found this gem!
Very delicious appetizers, food, and wine at F&W. I'm gluten free. They offer tasty ricotta with GF crackers and GF pasta for me. The staff is so nice and the atmosphere is amazing.
We couldn't find a better place to eat in the Italian neighborhood!! 😍😍
We sat on the terrace, which was already quite charming. Upon entering I was surprised by the small size of the place and all the decoration themed in Italy, where shelves with Italian brand food could not be missing. To my surprise I found a GLUTEN FREE pasta.
They gave us a 10 service, the lady who served me explained that they could make me GLUTEN-FREE pasta, in addition to the sauces I could choose. I have celiac disease, so I asked about cross contamination and they told me that they took it into account. I ordered spaghetti with pesto sauce (It cost me $24, it was expensive but it was very good). Incredible!! My friends ordered pasta with different sauces, all delicious
We hosted 30 people for my daughter's Baptism at Spiazzo's, it was truly perfect. Michelle was so lovey to coordinate with and went out of her way to make our guests feel welcomed and taken care of. We had guests with gluten intolerance and nut allergies and she was great and ensured they were eating nut and gluten free appetizers, main courses, and dessert. The staff were all friendly and engaging as well. And the food! Delicious!!! We had the calamari and bruschetta to start, then guests chose from pasta, chicken Milanese or salmon. Everyone raved about their meal. As a side note I mentioned I was bringing purple flowers because my daughter's name is Violet. Well I forgot them, but when we arrived Michelle had placed edible purple flowers in everyone's water glass. Such a beautiful touch and nod to my daughter. . Lastly the remodel they did 6 months ago is beautiful, it was the perfect venue for our luncheon. Will definitely be visiting again soon!
Vittorio and his team are the best. We dined at their West Portal (SF) location after a recommendation from our planner. She mentioned that he was very reasonably priced and the food is delicious. She was right— we liked the food here so much and decided to have them cater our 105 person wedding! He even had us to the restaurant twice once just us and once with my parents to try the food! Vittorio is the nicest guy and super accommodating. He had vegan options for our guests and gluten free pasta. Not to mention, the food is so so good! My favorites include the lasagna and the fiochetti (iykyk!!). His staff is top notch and super friendly and nice. They manned the bars, served food, and ran back of the house prep. They also served meals to our other vendors. Overall, we loved working with them and know we will come back and visit the restaurant many times!! Thank you to Vittorio and his team for making our backyard wedding amazing !!!!! We highly recommend dining at their West Portal restaurant location and hiring them for all your event catering needs! 🤍🤍
AN AUTHENTIC ITALIAN RESTAURANT. I say for 3 reasons: 1. All the staff are Italian 2. A member of my dinner party lived in Italy for several years, is fluent in Italian who also has an Italian husband and she confirmed this place screamed proper Italian 3. It gave me massive nostalgia of my recent trip to Italy a few months ago.
I came with a party of 7 for my girlfriend's birthday. The manager Andrea was there at the front door to welcome us and quickly made small talk with our Italian speaking party members. We were sat upstairs in a balcony type seating which gave us a full view of the dining room - absolutely beautiful.
Our waiter Marco was attentive and knowledgeable about the whole menu. We had a child with celiac so he quickly told us everything that she could eat and she loved every bite of it!
All of the appetizers were amazing especially the meatballs, we had to order a second round. We ate the calamari, salads, and burrata which tasted amazing. We ordered individual pasta entrees of different varieties. Each member of my party could not stop talking about how delicious it was - IT WAS PROPER AL DENTE.
Drinks are so reasonably priced. A glass of wine is $10-$14 which is SOO cheap in my opinion but all the wine tasted amazing - the bottles all cost about $40-$50 which is very affordable.
To further compliment Marco, it was a busy evening but he never forgot a single thing we ordered even down to the modifications in a single persons entree. Even if his other duties created a longer wait time for our requests he continually reassured us that he would take care of it which he did.
Desserts were phenomenal and they were nice to us to comp a dessert for the birthday member. We had the Tiramisu, Red Velvet Cake, and the Panna Cotta.
Each one tasted amazing and we continually ate them despite how full we all were. Andrea was also so kind to bring the celiac child (Born in Italy and also speaks Italian) some gelato as it was gluten free and she was so thankful!! Andrea also gave us some Limoncello which tasted delicious!
As someone who works for a high-end restaurant in San Francisco, Bottega truly is one the best restaurants I have had the pleasure of visiting. This place is 20/10 and I WILL be back as soon as I can.
This is a repost of my yelp review, I wanted to make sure it was on both google and yelp.
Love that they have dairy-free and gluten-free options available, in addition to traditional menu items. Excellent pizza. You haven't lived until you've tried their breadsticks w/ marinara sauce, too. Nice dining environment inside. The owners are great people.
Good food and very good service. They had gluten-free options and were very nice about all my special requests.
My friends liked their Pulcinella Pizza. They replaced gluten-free pasta in the gnocchi dish for me and that was very nice. The best part was the cocktails.
Really great pasta and nice service. Kids eat free on Tuesdays! Super great deal for families with kids under 12. Also very inclusive dishes for gluten free allergies.
The food was very good. Excellent gluten-free bread. It seemed expensive for the size of the sandwich. I was expecting something 1.5-2 times larger given the price. We ate outside in one of the sidewalk booths. It was a bit cold and breezy, not sure if you can eat inside in the wine bar or not, so might want to watch the weather.
Recently discovered this family pizza restaurant and we loved the freshness of the ingredients and the warm service. We've only done take out. But still will come back whenever we want pizza bc their gluten free crust is the best and they have vegan cheese. Winner winner!
Very good food, very fresh and natural, I am glad they have many options for customers such as gluten free pasta and vegetarian choices. I rate this a 5 star but I still suggest to have other protein choices in the menu for customers with gluten free allergies and have a dish with just more than pasta and sauce.
6 of us were looking for a place with gluten-free options, and Uva came up on the search. We called and were able to get a table right away.
The food was lovingly prepared, and everyone's meal was delicious. The appetizers, salads, and entrees were outstanding. A very nice wine selection. Even though we were filled from dinner, we had the sour cherry tart and espresso for dessert. I highly recommend!
I'm so glad they are still around. One of my all time favorite places. I no longer eat gluten but I still insist on taking my friends here for delicious pasta. The hand drawn menu is one of the little things that make Emmy's one - of-a-kind.
They said farro dish was gluten free but it wasn’t. Farro is literally wheat (gluten). It’s very scary and I realized this too late.
With this price tag I’d expect them to take better care of allergens and simply know what’s off limits for folks with certain food allergies.
I was recently diagnosed with celiac disease and have to give up gluten. I decided to delay the diet until after I visited Capo’s for one last Chicago-style deep dish pizza! It was fantastic – everything I could have hoped for. The chocolate chip cannoli was fantastic as well.
The staff was very friendly and made the experience very enjoyable.
Had an amazing experience at this restaurant! All of the staff were welcoming, friendly and most importantly we came for a gluten free meal and were shown so much care. Our meals were delicious (both gf and regular pasta dishes). Ambience was great. A lovely place I hope to return to!
Quaint shop with friendly staff. Had a pizza $21 / spaghetti bolognese $20 and drinks. Were good. Pellgrino Selter 0.25 for $6 a little steep.
What was good was that there was also gluten-free food.
Absolutely wonderful meal. Service was phenomenal and so friendly. Food was very good as well and priced reasonably. Very accommodating of food allergies. Was able to order dairy and gluten free with no issues.
