Amazing menu, I could literally eat everything. Super friendly staff. Our waiter had a gluten intolerance so I’m wondering if his dietary requirements are a reason for the great menu. All desserts were gf and I could eat the fries, first time in a 2 week road trip I’ve been able to do this! Gorgeous pub with outdoor seating and a river nearby.

Celiac friendly They have a dedicated fryer and their staff are super friendly and conscientious. It is such a relief to be treated so kindly when you have food allergies. The food is scrumptious and being by the water on a sunny afternoon/evening is a little piece of heaven.

Amazing food!!! As someone with celiac, I haven't had Chinese food in since I was diagnosed, and it was absolutely delicious. Even my non gluten free family loved the dishes we got to share. Will definitely be a new go to when I'm in Vic🙌👌

Love, love, love this place. Arguably the best selection of dairy-free ice cream in town, and every flavour I’ve tried has been amazing. My favourite so far is Roseberry Ave (done as an ice cream sandwich). I shop here regularly to satisfy my sweet-tooth, and I don’t think I’ve yet to walk out the door without a double scoop of nice-cream in a gluten-friendly cone and a freezer bag full of pints and sandwiches.

Had dinner with My best friend and my mother last night. Shalena’s service was exceptional. My mum has food issues that can be a challenge. Shalena could not have been more accommodating. Mum often avoids going for dinner due to her FOD diet Mum was so happy to be so well taken care. Thank you for the exceptional service. They have a special deep fryers to accommodate people who are celiac and willing to adjust a dish to suit my mums food challenges. Cheers

We had been recommended this restaurant by a friend, and it did not disappoint. We had gluten-free fish and chips which came with a nice serving of fries and coleslaw. The drinks were tasty and the atmosphere was lively. The location is right next to the Victoria Harbour Airport and you can see a view of sea planes as well as the sunset. Nice fun place to enjoy a meal.

My wife ordered gluten free, she was served gluten. She is a celiac. Unacceptable. No apology from the server or manager. The item was also left on the bill. I honestly can’t believe this is how this restaurant operates.

Excellent service and accommodating to gluten-free allergies. Excellent food for my gluten free Large Hemingway Short Story with 6 prawns. I Highly recommend the duck wings! This place is popular! Very crowded and loud inside. Enjoyed it even though it was packed. Live music. There was the option of quieter outdoor seating with plenty of room while we were there.

Il Covo is a new Victoria fave for me! The garden patio is beautiful and the whole place has a lovely atmosphere. Morgana, our server, was amazing and the food was excellent. Our group was looking for some vegan and gluten free options and she was so knowledgable and made great recommendations for everyone! We will be back for sure :)

This place is one of the best restaurants we've been to in a while. Everything we had was fantastic: Beef tenderloin carpaccio, smoked chicken penne, pan seared miso halibut, blackened creole chicken. My wife has celiac and they have a lot of options. The gluten free penne was probably the best GF pasta she has tried. We also had a few cocktails and they were all well made. Earl Grey Martini was a stand out for me. Our server was very nice and accommodating as well and service was very fast.

I used to eat at Big Wheel 3 - 4 times per month because they had the only gluten free crispy chicken burger in town. It was always great and was my go-to eat out meal. Now that they’ve stopped making the chicken burger gluten free I have not been back.

A really unique restaurant in Langford. Nothing quite like it in the immediate area. Andrew was our server, and went above and beyond to make sure our experience was perfect. The food was incredible, and had lots of options for various restricted diets including gluten free, and vegan.

It can be really hard to find a lot of places like this, but this is by far my favourite place to eat in Victoria! While it was great they had gluten free waffle options, you only get 1 Belgium waffle and if you’re hungry, it won’t be enough. An order of thick cut bacon on the side helped fill the void. Oat milk for our coffees was nice, and the coffee cup sizes are kind of small given the $5 charge. Overall, it was decent - it was a breakfast start to a busy morning - but we’d likely go elsewhere for more value and larger portions.

Rick and Don are great! The gluten free hot dogs are amazing! We have two celiacs in our family and it's been difficult to find celiac friendly hot dogs until we found these guys. My favourite place to go when I visit Victoria! I have been eating here for many years. And each brunch or lunch or dessert is a feast for both my senses and belly. Nutritious, beautifully prepared and presented drinks and meals with exceptional flavours. Great service that is always sensitive and accommodating to my dairy and gluten allergies.
