I’ve had an excellent experience visiting Cafe Bonjour while here in Boston. They do a great job with gluten free requests due to being Celiac. I dined in with my husband a couple of days ago. The restaurant is small, but the food is really good, and staff is attentive. I had the Bonjour omelette when we were there, and I have placed online orders for GF egg and cheese sandwiches and potatoes for pickup for the last two days while my husband is at a conference. The food is flavorful and the portions are generous. I highly recommend the restaurant, especially if you have special dietary needs.

What a great place to relax and have some amazing food. John F. was our server and that dude was spot on with his recommendations and extremely courteous with us. Answered all of our questions and brought out gluten free rolls for the table when he heard there was someone with a gluten allergy. Will gladly be back for the food, environment, and the service!

I came here with my boyfriend on St Patrick’s Day weekend for lunch and drinks. Everywhere was packed but we luckily got right in upstairs. Both bars were packed. I was super happy to see all of the gluten free options as it’s hard to get good options that aren’t just a salad or a simple dish. We started with the salt and pepper wings and the French onion dip with house made potato chips. Both were good, though I prefer less caramelized onion flavor and the dip was too sweet for my taste. We followed with a dozen east coast oysters which were excellent. We each ordered a lobster roll- I got hot on a GF bun and he got the chilled roll on a regular bun. Both came with fries. We both ate the whole thing. My roll was a little crumbly (like all GF rolls unfortunately are) but to be able to enjoy a lobster roll in Boston and to not have to eat the lobster off of lettuce or something like that was delightful. We also felt that they were full of lobster meat and therefore worth the price tag. He also had the Boston lager which he enjoyed, and I got two brunch punch drinks which tasted like adult Hawaiian Punch - delicious. They also have a GF beer offering here (Glutenberg). So whether you’re celiac or not, I would definitely recommend this restaurant and bar!
