I have been to 7+ several times and each time I have never been disappointed. Yesterday I returned with different needs, as I discovered I am gluten intolerant. I was speechless in front of a visibly wonderful and exceptionally tasty pizza. Unlike other places, here the gluten-free pizza is worthy of being called such.
Firstly, everything on the menu is available without gluten which is why we chose the place. The gluten free was very good and the burger bun was fluffy and the burger itself was not too small. My capricciosa was possibly a little soggy and a little stingy with tomato sauce with the ham was unusually good and the base itself was good. The staff spoke better English than in many other places and it was no problem to neither be understood nor understand what the staff said. I would recommend this place if you want to eat quite late (they don't open before 7:45 PM) and can't eat gluten.
Amazing place! Very good food, everything is gluten free and delicious!
I had pinsa, arancini, pasta, apple pie, nutella pie, fries, everything is so, so good.
I went there during day time and during night time and all the staff members were helpful, nice and offered good customer service. Special thanks to Lorena who is very sweet and so helpful!
Will definitely come back!
We were six people at Scorza Nera and I have to say it was a wonderful discovery! The place is really large and well-kept, with a wonderful summer space, perfect for outdoor evenings. The menu is very rich: many varieties of pizzas and doughs, even gluten-free, truly something for all tastes.
The pizzas arrived almost all at the same time (five out of six), the only small flaw was with the gluten-free pizza which, by mistake, had been served to another table. We had to wait a few more minutes, but the staff was very courteous and attentive.
The real surprise, however, came at the end: without having asked for anything, they brought us two plates of desserts with Nutella and bitters offered by the house. As a Milanese, I was positively impressed: a gesture that is not seen often and that really makes the difference.
What can I say? Excellent food, welcoming environment and a service that knows how to pamper the customer. I will definitely return when I come to Sicily
Top Top Top. Whether classic or gluten free, a delight. Cooked on the spot in a relaxed atmosphere. Very kind and super helpful people. Don't waste your time looking elsewhere.
Everything is very good, from sweet to savory, a point of reference for gluten-free, with a single flaw, the prices, which in some cases are too salty (bread at €12 per kg)
We came here because, after many days of fried foods and typical cuisine, we wanted something different (and above all with gluten-free options for me). We had a great time, the food is cooked with great care and there are many original gluten-free/vegetarian/vegan choices. The possibility of composing our own dish also gave us the opportunity to taste more dishes! The managers are very kind and the environment is really welcoming. Absolutely must try!!
I am celiac .. and I ate divinely the first time .. so much so that I decided to return to celebrate my third degree and everything was wonderful.
Very kind and helpful owner.
Kind and welcoming staff, but above all super attentive to my needs and requirements.
Top food.
Obviously we will continue to choose you for our evenings of extreme relaxation and good food.
Excellent experience of both service and food. Above all, excellent experience with gluten-free, given that being celiac in the family, it is not easy to find a suitable place that is attentive to contamination. Thank you so much, for everything.. 5 out of 5 on everything!!
We stopped to eat a pizza because they also make it gluten-free and it was a really pleasant surprise; the gluten-free pizza is top with dough made by them, furthermore they have in addition to the normal dough, excellent, also a dough of ancient grains truly spectacular, top quality ingredients and a Sicilian craft beer to try.
I recently had dinner in this restaurant...a wonderful location, especially in the summer, where you can dine under the stars 🤩. Staff ready to satisfy any request. The menu features a variety of innovative and beautifully presented dishes. I can never recommend Cortile delle Fate enough for a fantastic dining experience."* Great gluten-free pizza!
I have celiac disease, thanks to Google I found this restaurant that offered gluten-free dishes, I think it is family-run. The service was impeccable, the food good and the bill consistent with what I ate. I think that if I pass through those parts again, I will return for lunch.
My husband and I spent three days in Catania (in addition to being pleasantly surprised by the city), we looked for a restaurant that served gluten-free dishes, we read the reviews and trusted what was published, the best choice was made, the owners and staff were very kind, we had a really good time and ate a lot. We dared to try a pasta with sea urchins and for us who come from Sardinia we can say that the exam was passed with flying colors.
I recommend getting a reservation, available for 7:00 or 9:00. We did not have one and were seated since we showed up at 7:00, but the turned a lot of people away after us. Gluten free pasta and bread were available.
The location is wonderful, delicious food, very courteous staff available for any need and it is one of the few places in the area where you can go and eat peacefully and I am referring in particular to those who are celiac/gluten intolerant like my son
Went for a weekday lunch at Street 54 Trattoria Coppola. Sat outside on the sidewalk (loud with vehicles zooming by). There’s tables in the alley hidden around the corner. Service was friendly, waitress spoke English. Coperto was 1,50€/person.
They can do gluten free pasta (not stated on the menu) excluding the stuffed pasta. No extra charge for GF, only one option (penne).
- Penne senza glutine Street 54 (15,00€) - wrapped in tin foil. Good mix of seafood
- Penne senza glutine alla norma (10,00€) - eggplant was tasty, salted ricotta cheese paired well with the sauce. Pasta was al dente
We came to this place starting from the Google reviews among the places that have an outdoor environment and we were literally and pleasantly amazed by the well-kept, clean and comfortable location both inside and outside, by the kind and impeccable service and by the quality and goodness of the food.
Specifically, we ate a delicious fried fish, two pizzas, one of which was gluten-free, 1/2 liter of house white wine and a generous slice of pistachio ice cream cake.
The bread is delicious and made by them.
Important note for those looking for gluten-free: one of the best pizzas ever eaten, with abundant, quality ingredients. The thoughtfulness of bringing morsels of gluten-free bread along with the fish starter was an attention not noted in other places.
Finally, the price was honest and reasonable, especially in relation to the quality of the food, including gluten-free food.
Already recommended to other people and certainly next and future stop.
We had to wait a little while for our table but this was not a major problem. However, the menu was on boards and no table menus were given out. The waiter had to go through each dish and describe it individually (and remarked on how “Sicilian” everything was). Overall, the portions were relatively small but this was not the worst thing about the food. There were four of us at the table and two got their dishes first, after which the other two had to wait another 25 minutes for their food to arrive. By then, the first two had already finished their food. The food that came first was very good even though the portions were quite small. However, the food that came later (the other was gluten-free) tasted like cat food. It was pasta with tuna and the tuna was clearly from a can; nothing you would expect from an Italian restaurant with 4.7 stars! Overall, nothing recommended for tourists. The only plus was that we got a “sorry drink” after the meal which they offered as an apology and if you are a tourist, a plus might be that they spoke English.
I had lunch there for my niece's baptism. The hospitality of the staff was incredible. Having two disabled parents, they promptly helped me and assisted me in getting them to access the place easily, from a side entrance. The quality and presentation of the dishes is worthy of a starred restaurant. The raw ones are very fresh and tasty. The first ones are truly remarkable. Not being able to eat gluten, they cooked a delicious pasta for celiacs that had nothing to envy of the dishes of the other diners. The second courses were also rich in taste with combinations that recalled the flavors and aromas of tradition in an exquisitely modern way. In addition to the quality of the food, I greatly appreciated the availability and delicate discretion with which the dining room staff intervened on the occasion of an accident involving my mother and linked to her fragile state. The location is a fascinating tribute to the history of the place, as Daniele said. In short, an evocative restaurant from every point of view.
It's a cozy little restaurant/wine bar in a beautiful part of town with historic buildings. The staff was super friendly and informed us from the start about the gluten-free options. Octopus salad was super fresh and delicious. The fried small fish were gluten free, not greasy, very fresh and very tasty. Wine selection was great. We chose Frizzante. Caffe was first class. Would recommend you.
Excellent food, hyper inclusive (vegan, vegetarian, gluten free and lactose free). Kind and knowledgeable staff. I recommend it for a quick lunch or a dinner with friends
I gave one star because at least one should be given. I am celiac and they assured me of the pasta but as soon as it arrived after two forkfuls I found another type of pasta inside that seemed anything but gluten-free. They wanted to remake it but I refused and asked for simple grilled chicken, all the diners who were with me finished eating and I was still waiting for my grilled chicken, an hour had passed, so much so that I cancelled and was left with an empty stomach, so if you have allergies and intolerances this place is definitely not recommended.
The view however was very beautiful.
Best gluten free pizza I have had so far, for no extra cost! The staff at the restaurant were kind to rush our order so we could make it to the bus on time. Highly recommended!
Optimal. Fixed menu on Sunday based on fish with a myriad of starters, but the raw dishes deserve a separate mention, all fresh seafood and shellfish. The cooked and first courses are also excellent. Decent house wine, bitter desserts and coffee. Good service and very kind owner. It's a shame that when there are a lot of people, the small room creates a lot of noise due to the diners speaking loudly. The bill was adjusted. The food is also good for those with intolerances such as celiac disease. We are very satisfied and will certainly return often.
