visited Manchester today for my scheduled monthly trip with my son and husband. We dined at the Hard Rock Cafe, our preferred establishment, appreciating its exceptional atmosphere, staff, and cuisine. The restaurant's accommodation of my son's and my coeliac disease is particularly noteworthy, ensuring both safety and deliciousness.
Our server, Steven, provided attentive, friendly, and welcoming service. His own experience with coeliac disease was a significant advantage, eliminating any need for extensive explanation (though the Hard Rock Cafe staff are consistently accommodating). He thoroughly explained the kitchen's procedures. Despite our familiarity with the restaurant, their reassurances regarding food safety were appreciated. Manager Rik also checked on our experience, reiterating the safety protocols. My son particularly enjoyed the attention, a welcome respite after a challenging week at school.

Such a lovely place we came on Saturday my mam is gluten and dairy free and it was not a problem, the food was lovely we all had the flat iron steak, friendly atmosphere and the staff were so helpful and happy in their work. Our first visit and my daughter who has autism was shown to a quieter part of the restaurant by the lovely Abbie and made to feel valued as a customer. We were looked after really well and Abbie even refilled our drinks for us as my daughter would have struggled in front of other customers. First time at Kala and it was superb! Plenty of gluten free options for coeliacs and the quality and taste of the food was amazing. The atmosphere and service was great, our server was coeliac too so very knowledgeable about gluten free options and recommendations. The bill wasn’t cheap but then again it was a treat including a lush bottle of wine, but worth every penny. We’re regulars at Kala’s sister restaurant Hispi in Didsbury, but I have to say Kala really upped its game and both me and my husband thought the food was tastier and might make it a new regular even though it’s further away from where we live!

We picked Sam’s Chop House for our first night in Manchester and it was the perfect choice. We wanted some proper local food, plus one of our friends has a gluten allergy, and they promised on their website they could accommodate it—which they did, no problem at all.
The food was amazing and came out quickly, but what really made the experience was the service. Our waitress, Jaye, was an absolute gem—super friendly, attentive and even took the time to give us some great recommendations for drinks afterward, even if the restaurant was packed and we noticed she was super busy. As tourists, that extra touch made all the difference.

Booked by my daughter who’s Coeliac as this is one of the few places she can eat in Manchester. We ate our way through much of the menu, all of which was great, of course daughter could only have the GF options. Left room for puddings which we agreed were delicious. Washed down with a large jug of sangria the restaurant ground floor is popular and bustling - even at 6pm on Saturday evening - so best to book. Staff were very friendly and attentive
