It was a perfect place for celiacs, there were lots of gluten free opions, all the menu. I could even eat gluten free tiramisu!!! Also, the workers were really nice.
We had gluten free pasta with Venus clams, small salad and gluten free lasagna. The only good thing was that here they look serious about gluten and even have a separate menu for your convenience.
The rest part is pretty disappointing - lasagna was the worst I ever had (it's the first time in Italy). There's no meet at all, only cheese and sauce. I couldn't it that, my husband had to take it over and he wasn't happy at all.
The spaghetti with Venus clams was much better in comparison to lasagna. But still it was pretty empty. Salad as well, nothing special, but they included beans which was unusual.
Poor impression + 2 euro for service FOR EACH PERSON despite the menu doesn't indicate that it's the price per person. The waitress explained that's it's not including tips for them! According to her, the service price includes things like bread, ketchup, mayonnaise and parmesan - NOTHING from that was on our table! CRAZY 😧

The environment is small and private, it puts you at ease. The staff is kind and helpful. The food is high quality, the pasta is homemade and there are gluten-free options.
Just rate the service. We asked for gluten free food and the hostess was rude about it, then just walked away and didn't offer us any table. It felt terrible from a customer service standpoint. We just decided to leave.
I only value the service. We asked about gluten free food and the hostess was a little rude with her answer, and just left and didn't offer us a table. It felt terrible from a customer service standpoint. We decided to just leave and find another place.
Restaurant inside the hotel aqua. Every evening a different menu with a choice of appetizers, first and second courses. Vegetable and dessert buffet. Excellent. Also gluten-free
best food we’ve had on our trip so far! Gluten free arabiatta was amazing and it came with spaghetti instead of penne which was a nice change. They also brought out gluten free bread stick type things which were really good. Overall highly recommend! in a cute courtyard and lovely staff.
La Pergola is a good restaurant with a wide variety of dishes. Pizza, fish, meat, pasta, even gluten-free, everything is very tasty here and the price is completely reasonable.
The staff is friendly and attentive. I like coming here, but reservations are recommended in high season.
One of the waiters told us they had gluten-free pizza, but after we'd chosen it, another waiter told us they didn't have that dish. We stayed and ordered other dishes because we were already there. Poor service; the staff lacks training on allergies and intolerances.
We ate creamed cod, spaghetti with squid ink and Venetian-style liver with organic polenta. It was all delicious. Pay attention to the gluten-free dishes. Kindness and courtesy from everyone and Vittorio made us feel at home. Highly recommended in Venice!
Good morning,
We made a reservation for the evening of September 28 several days in advance, specifying that we were allergic to gluten.
We showed up in the evening specifying our allergy again and the waiter told us that we could eat the whole menu and that they would accommodate. We are quite surprised.
A second waiter comes to our table, and we talk to him again about our allergy, and he tells us that no, we can't eat everything. We order the dishes with his help, trusting this server.
What a mistake... We both spent a sleepless night with severe abdominal pain. At 5:30 a.m., not sleeping because of the pain, I send an email to the restaurant explaining that we are both sick and I look for an explanation.
I've been waiting for a response for two weeks in vain... It's the least I can do to at least respond when you make people sick and apologize...
Gluten allergy is not a fad, nor a game, we had very severe pain for four days...
If you have allergies, run away...
We ate several days before in Venice restaurants "Gluten Free" displayed on the front and we tolerated everything well and it was excellent.
Favor these if you want to be sure....
Friendly staff, place with the possibility of eating inside, on the terrace or in an internal courtyard (also sheltered from the sun).
Being celiac I found this place by doing an online search and I found all the first courses also in gluten-free version: a possibility not so obvious. Thanks!
After arriving on the isola Burano, we searched for a restaurant. What choice we made, superb staff, attentive, informative and so very focused on the customer. Food was superb. Venetian food can be a lottery especially in Venice, but I can safely say that as a coeliac, this restaurant hit all the high quality notes. It was one of the best risotto’s I / we have had.
So a full lunch with local Venetian wine and a great experience. A big thank you to the ‘maitre d’ he was welcoming and his team were equal. I think that anyone needing GF options and a great all round experience will indeed, have a great one. Thank you to the Osterio Al Museo team for our lunch and fond memories of Burano. Caio x
I call in the afternoon, booking for the same evening for two people at 8.00 pm, informing those responsible that my wife has celiac disease.
They let us sit and I'll start by saying that the food is good but the manners of the waiter are not and this is the reason why I gave it one star and I will never go there again.
1: I kindly ask if they have gluten-free bread and it is not served to us.... then we ask if we can use the one my wife has for celiacs and we turn up our noses but in the end they agree.
2: The second course is served with a side dish that a celiac cannot eat (but they solve this by bringing another dish)
So far so good........But now the phenomenon enters the scene.
3: Let me start by saying that celiac disease is a serious intolerance and unfortunately we are born with it.
We ask for half a liter of water..... and he replies that they only have it by the liter (then magically they offer us the one I had requested)..... we ask for a gluten-free dessert and he replies that the only one is Tiramisu ( ?????????????????????????????????????) then we discover as we are leaving that he was also there normal ice cream.
All with the nonchalance of a freak not worthy of a waiter...... the performance continues with jokes at the cash register during the bill in the presence of the owner who doesn't intervene........ STUNNED!
Amazing restaurant!!! we came back for the second time just to eat in this restaurant, the food is one of the best that we ate, the service is great and the team are lovely. I ate Gluten free pasta and it was one of the best pasta that I ever ate!!! thank you for Amazing time.
Fatima and the rest of the staff made us feel very welcome here. The food is wonderful, with many vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free choices. We liked it so much that we returned the next evening to eat there again. A welcome alternative eating pasta or pizza for every meal.
The location of the restaurant is splendid, right in Campo San Giacomo, in a very quiet area. We ate in the internal garden, which I recommend, more private, but still outdoors. Excellent food, possibility to choose various Gluten free dishes. We had pasta with squid ink and spaghetti with clams in a gluten free version. Everything excellent. Generous portions.
I was at Ristorante Diana six months ago and again in October. The first time I had risotto pesce, which was okay, but nothing more. Even back then I found the service intrusive and invasive, but I was there with a group so I didn't pay much attention to it. The next morning I didn't feel well, and it wasn't until the evening that my condition improved somewhat.
Now I was back with my husband. It was already late, the restaurant we wanted to go to was full, so Diana did. We ate the daily menu, for me spaghetti (gluten-free) with tomato sauce, sogliette with spinach and fries. The first piece of fish tasted musty, the others worked, but were no fun. I quickly realized something was wrong and went home. I had terrible cramps all night long and vomited every hour until six in the morning. I couldn't get out of bed the following day and definitely couldn't eat anything. The next day we drove back to Germany and my family doctor clearly diagnosed food poisoning.
No more Diana!
We took some very good take-away pizzas, one even gluten-free. Very careful about contamination even though it is not a certified place. Very friendly staff. Excellent. We will definitely be back
Restaurant within walking distance of the station, welcoming and friendly staff. Delicious Lebanese cuisine with vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options. The venue is very beautiful!
We chose Cà del Lago as the location for our wedding. Andrea and Linda very professional and helpful, efficient and ready to satisfy any type of request. We were very satisfied with and how our wedding took place given two different cultures (MoldoSiciliana)!!! We have had vegan and even celiac people and they were satisfied in everything! For this, a big thank you to the chef! Lots of dancing... lots of music... Excellent quality of food and wine. Absolutely unbeatable quality/price ratio. Thanks to all the staff! You are special! Anthony & Marinela
A wonderful surprise and discovery!
I didn't know this place, an extremely inclusive place not far from San Marco.
They have a separate totally vegan menu, and several gluten-free options.
The staff is very kind, and above all competent in matters of intolerances.
We ate a lasagna with radicchio and mushrooms (really creamy and tasty), goulash and a tasting of vegan cheeses and cured meats.
Enjoy the chef's entree and the gluten-free bread basket served hot.
The portions are not abundant and the price is not particularly low, but I think it is the right price for the research and direction of inclusiveness undertaken by the owners.
Finding a restaurant in the heart of Venice where intolerances are not a limit is truly beautiful.
I hope there will also be such inclusive bacari and cicchetterie in the future.
Really recommended!
We were very happy with the food and the service was also good. Priced okay too. Would come again! I had Spaghetti al Nero di Seppia, which was gluten-free (hence as penne).
