Dear Valentina, after months glued to the phone screen with my mouth watering looking at the photos of your delicacies, I have decided to give myself a gift and take a train from Pontedera to come and taste something from your bakery in Sarzana. And so here I am early in the morning inside your special place; obviously there was the counter full of wonders and your lively and very pleasant presence. I admit that I didn't say much because I was excited, but I bought many things to try: a slice of savory cake, some scones, a piece of vanilla and berry cake and a lemon and blueberry muffin. Everything was exceptional! The scones almost moved me, the flavor was almost identical to the ones I bought in an old bakery in my town when I was little, I ate them with a dear friend of mine outside of school and it really felt like I was going back there. Never eaten so good in eleven years of celiac disease! Not to mention the desserts: tasty, soft, abundant. No disappointments. The prices are absolutely honest and consistent with the quality of the food, I really hope to be able to return soon.

I went to this Focacceria with some friends and we left really satisfied. Very beautiful and refined location. Very welcoming and pleasant environment and staff. Varied and satisfying fixed menus. Honest prices for the quality and quantity. Very attentive to gluten-free (possibility of eating a delicious focaccia made by them and amazing desserts). What can I say, a place to which we will certainly more than willingly return.

Nice atmosphere in what seems to be an old cellar, good food but..... it ends here......oh yes. Because even the so-called modus operandi is fundamental.....here the fundamental thing was the rudeness....my wife is celiac and vegetarian and already when we booked at lunch time for dinner we were not even asked for a name for our reservation.....anyway so far everything was fine. We arrived at 7:30 pm, they made us sit down, brought us the menu and I could already see the waiters quite agitated, all kind except ours, who despite seeming nice and kind, ruined everything. Let's leave aside the fact that some dishes on the menu were not available but there were others, as I said they were good (cod instead of grilled tuna, with some bones but whatever), good pici cacio e pepe....but!!! For my wife, the kind waiter had decided his dinner himself (a selection of cheeses and a baked vegetable ratatouille) without the possibility of 3 clear seconds to choose and at my wife's first question about the possibility of being able to have a smoked scamorza, HE HUNTED IMPATIENTLY IN FRONT OF US, unfortunately we were not very helpful, given that we allowed ourselves to ask a question in 10 seconds of ordering (because yes, she was clearly in a hurry). Result: it was supposed to be a relaxing evening, I ate nervously and my wife uncomfortable (celiac disease is a disease, not a pain in the ass for the restaurateur who is not used to stress), if I could I would have left before eating but I had already ordered, my fault for not being ready. Oh, last but not least, the ratatouille never even arrived, they forgot about it so we told them to forget it and left. Conclusion, good food and nice environment, but the service of that gentleman there cancelled everything and with interest. 49 EUROS TO HEAR HIM PUFFING AND TO MAKE MY WIFE EAT 5 CHEESES AND LEAVE HUNGRY. RUDENESS HAS NO CURE AND SHOULD NOT BE TOLERATED. PS.: it's fine if you are happy for them to decide the dishes for you and if you don't have any intolerances.
