Arrived in Sarzana for a gluten free demonstration I stopped for lunch at this tavern
I can only compliment the dishes consumed with praise for the desserts
Superlative gluten free 👏
Informal place with friendly and welcoming staff. The pizzas have a crunchy and very thin crust so the judgment is up to personal taste. I had a calzone and it was very good. Much attention to dietary issues with ingredients also without lactose or gluten. Prices appropriate to the type of venue.
Dear Valentina, after months glued to the phone screen with my mouth watering looking at the photos of your delicacies, I have decided to give myself a gift and take a train from Pontedera to come and taste something from your bakery in Sarzana.
And so here I am early in the morning inside your special place; obviously there was the counter full of wonders and your lively and very pleasant presence. I admit that I didn't say much because I was excited, but I bought many things to try: a slice of savory cake, some scones, a piece of vanilla and berry cake and a lemon and blueberry muffin.
Everything was exceptional!
The scones almost moved me, the flavor was almost identical to the ones I bought in an old bakery in my town when I was little, I ate them with a dear friend of mine outside of school and it really felt like I was going back there.
Never eaten so good in eleven years of celiac disease!
Not to mention the desserts: tasty, soft, abundant. No disappointments.
The prices are absolutely honest and consistent with the quality of the food, I really hope to be able to return soon.
I went to this Focacceria with some friends and we left really satisfied. Very beautiful and refined location. Very welcoming and pleasant environment and staff. Varied and satisfying fixed menus. Honest prices for the quality and quantity. Very attentive to gluten-free (possibility of eating a delicious focaccia made by them and amazing desserts). What can I say, a place to which we will certainly more than willingly return.
In the center of Sarzana there is this excellent pizzeria which offers the possibility of a gluten free menu. Having tasted both the gluten-free and traditional pizzas, I can say that everything was of a high standard in terms of abundance and flavours.
The environment is informal, the staff are courteous, attentive and quick and know how to recommend the various proposals to satisfy the customer.
Price in line with the gluten free proposals but general value a step above.
We arrived without a reservation during the Champions League final, which was broadcast, and they found us a table without any problems. They also have a gluten-free sandwich, which was really big and very good. When the fries, which were an extra, didn't arrive, I pointed it out and in addition to removing them from the order, they offered me a Coke to make up for it.
Really nice and kind staff. Recommended!
Nice atmosphere in what seems to be an old cellar, good food but..... it ends here......oh yes. Because even the so-called modus operandi is fundamental.....here the fundamental thing was the rudeness....my wife is celiac and vegetarian and already when we booked at lunch time for dinner we were not even asked for a name for our reservation.....anyway so far everything was fine. We arrived at 7:30 pm, they made us sit down, brought us the menu and I could already see the waiters quite agitated, all kind except ours, who despite seeming nice and kind, ruined everything. Let's leave aside the fact that some dishes on the menu were not available but there were others, as I said they were good (cod instead of grilled tuna, with some bones but whatever), good pici cacio e pepe....but!!!
For my wife, the kind waiter had decided his dinner himself (a selection of cheeses and a baked vegetable ratatouille) without the possibility of 3 clear seconds to choose and at my wife's first question about the possibility of being able to have a smoked scamorza, HE HUNTED IMPATIENTLY IN FRONT OF US, unfortunately we were not very helpful, given that we allowed ourselves to ask a question in 10 seconds of ordering (because yes, she was clearly in a hurry).
Result: it was supposed to be a relaxing evening, I ate nervously and my wife uncomfortable (celiac disease is a disease, not a pain in the ass for the restaurateur who is not used to stress), if I could I would have left before eating but I had already ordered, my fault for not being ready.
Oh, last but not least, the ratatouille never even arrived, they forgot about it so we told them to forget it and left.
Conclusion, good food and nice environment, but the service of that gentleman there cancelled everything and with interest.
49 EUROS TO HEAR HIM PUFFING AND TO MAKE MY WIFE EAT 5 CHEESES AND LEAVE HUNGRY.
RUDENESS HAS NO CURE AND SHOULD NOT BE TOLERATED.
PS.: it's fine if you are happy for them to decide the dishes for you and if you don't have any intolerances.
for my birthday, given the presence of some celiacs, I found this ice cream shop by chance that does everything gluten-free and I wanted to try it, I had an ice cream cake made which received compliments from everyone... today I went there again to try a classic ice cream and once again it was delicious... I also compliment the super friendly and helpful staff... highly recommended to everyone, celiacs or not.
we ordered pizza for delivery and it arrived almost an hour late after being told it would only be 10 minutes late. as a result, our plans for the evening were ruined. also, the gluten free pizza was truly horrible, as the toppings were almost completely out of the pizza and you needed a spoon to eat it.
This place is a true gem if you are looking for something different then the traditional dishes and/or if you want vegetarian/vegan/gluten free options. We had a lovely dinner with a super friendly server, definitely recommend!
Excellent experience at Mexico and Clouds! The cuisine is truly excellent, with great attention to gluten-free needs. Each dish is prepared with care and explained with passion directly by the owner, who proved to be kind and attentive. Precise and fast service, welcoming atmosphere. Highly recommended for those looking for authenticity and quality!
Truly super food quality, with a special mention for gluten-free. The fresh pasta is excellent and, although I hadn't asked for it, the waitress paid me special attention, which I appreciated very much, by bringing me gluten free bread. I don't recommend a particular dish, because they are all so good that the only thing I can do is recommend going there several times to try them all.
I went there twice in one week, but only because I discovered this place too late. From cocktails to dishes, everything is delicious and particular, they also have several gluten-free options and are careful about contamination. The staff is really helpful, sweet and friendly. The place is definitely worth a visit.
Unfortunately I read some reviews in which people complained heavily about the service not being too fast. I myself had to wait a few more minutes because I forgot, so what? These are things that can happen, working in the kitchen or dining room is stressful and the pace is frenetic. If you want the speed of an all you can eat of dubious quality or if you don't like to respect the guys who bring your food to your table you can very well go somewhere else.
