Love this place. Highly recommend a reservation. We couldn't get a reservation but got take-out & ate at their picnic tables! Saw many people go in and immediately leave because Sinful Kitchen was full up! Their are allergy aware & have many gluten-free & vegetarian options. Our group had the Monte Cristo, a fav, 2 different kinds of eggs Benedict- classic & crab, strawberry waffles, & corned beef hashvw eggs. I also love the BBQ jackfruit. We are not nearby but try to go at least 2x a yr.
Chef Emma created a fabulous Thanksgiving meal, served by the most pleasant and helpful staff. The service was excellent, the food was great for our gluten-free, vegan -adjacent diets!! Iād give more stars if I could!!
Very knowledgeable staff for allergies. I got the fish tacos and when I asked the waitress about switching the sauce from a dairy one she had an amazing recommendation! The tacos came as a rice bowl for GF and had an allergy notice indicated on my meal. Amazing place!
It made me so happy to have gluten free fried shrimp and french fries. My husband said his clams were great and the non gf blueberry cornbread was delicious.
Really really great pizza! We tried two gluten free pizzas, the pepperoni hot honey and the chicken bacon ranch. The crust is really good but the highlight was the chicken bacon ranch. Best I've had ever. The location offers beautiful views and the atmosphere was great.
It was very busy when we went in, but all the staff members were kind, friendly, and accommodating. The food is excellent. My husband got coffee, which came in a carafeā¦very efficient and convenient, thank you. My hot tea came in a smaller carafe/pot, which was obviously only used for teaā¦so there wasnāt a coffee taste at all (thank you!!). It kept my tea very hot which is also so great. I noted the vegan and gluten free options, which is so wonderful to see. I do not need GF food, but people I care about doā¦so it is lovely to see it offered. I also enjoy vegan food, though I did not get that this morning (Iām vegetarian, so again, itās great to see vegetarian/vegan options). Their attention to detail is what made it so great. And the decor in their restrooms/water closets were entertaining lol.
We arrived five minutes after one but the person behind the counter said read the sign, very disappointed! People just walked out with a box in there hand.
Yosaku in Portland, ME, is a gem for authentic Japanese cuisine. I've been a patron for the last 8 years, and their Teuchi Soba, a gluten-free noodle made from 100% buckwheat flour, is a must-try. Unlike other soba that often contains wheat, Yosaku's commitment to quality is evident. With new ownership, there's been a subtle shift in taste, yet the restaurant maintains its excellent atmosphere and flavors. Their sushi and sashimi selection is extensive, including weekly specials. If you're lucky, you might even get to try their Otoro. For fish lovers, their Hamachi-Kama (Grilled Yellowtail Collar) is a delight, offered at a very reasonable price but in limited quantities.
Amazing! The lobster nachos were incredible! Everyone in our group loved their food, and it was fun to sit and watch the boats. Very celiac friendly too! My favorite place so far on our vacation!
I literally ordered 2 stacks of the blueberry gluten free pancakes and neither survived. And these were not skimpy stacks. They were the perfect treat to have on my birthday. Delicious coffee and so many other yummy pastries and gluten free options! I would go here every morning if I lived in Maine! Absolutely incredible!
Atmosphere, staff, and food were all amazing. We are a gluten free family and usually limited menu choices - Not here! There was a wide variety of gluten free items on the menu! We ordered the fish and chips, fish sandwich, braised short rib, cottage pie, and pickled onion rings. All were amazing! The batter for the fried items is always gluten free and items fried in a separate frier.
Food is excellent! Orange Bike gluten free beer is crisp and refreshing. Gabrielaās smile is refreshing and welcoming. She was kind and offered different beer selections. Very accommodating!
Great place for Gluten Free options as their batter is gluten free! Super nice people and great food. They offer indoor seating if needed.
Their fries are some of the best I've ever had.
As someone with celiac, I felt very taken care of at The Bakeshop! I was excited to see gf focaccia -- a rare treat -- and the cashier Corbin went out of his way to check which of the gf baked goods were oat-free for me. The portions are huge, which is also uncommon for gluten free food. If I lived nearby, I would go here all the time!
Really great find in the heart of Bar Harbor. Super considerate about our gluten allergy and vegan preferences. The smoothies here are to die for. Try the PB J smoothie. Loved all the food and the ambience was terrific. Not crowded even during the holiday long weekend.
Really nice casual lunch! We ate outside and looked out at the water. I got a lobster roll with old bay fries (delicious!) and my partner enjoyed the fish and chips. All their fried items are gluten free which was super exciting for my partner! Not sure it would work for someone with celiacās but it was perfect for us.
Wild Willyās Burgers in York, Maine is a must try whenever you are up in this area. The menu is wonderful comfort food and incredibly fresh. With gluten free options, this restaurant is much more inviting than many other places. From March until early November, this is definitely one of our favorite restaurants every time we come up to York, Maine. Enjoy, Robert.
One of the only places to get healthy GF donuts. Service was amazing and the donuts melted in our mouth. All GF donuts were vegan, made with sweet potato. They had a great collection of different varieties of GF donuts. 100% recommended even for gluten/regular doughnut lovers
Was very excited to see the large selection of GF items. Was very disappointed to learn that they could not turn on the fryer and the vast majority of items were not available. Also ordered an appetizer of GF stuffed mushrooms that never showed up. I didn't think they were fried, so my guess is the kitchen staff didn't want to be bothered making gluten free items that evening. I got a burger that was just ok. š¤·āāļø
First time getting food at this establishment.
My sister and I are both gluten intolerant so this review really pertains to such consumers.
Lots and lots of options- we ordered the Mariner plate for lunch. It was take out so we ate at home. The scallops and shrimps were excellent, the fish was really good. Finding tasty gluten free food can be tough.
Our issue was with the French fries. Restaurants that serve gluten free food can sometimes not refresh their oil as often as they would for normal food.
That is our guess- the fries had a strong, unusual odour so we both ate only a couple and we both felt unwell afterwards. I would guess that the oil is rancid- everything else was tasty so please folks, switch your oil over for gluten free food more often.
Thanks
My best friend got me a vegan/gluten free carrot cake cupcake. I was a bit skeptical of how this would taste and my husband said there was no way it would be good. WOW were we wrong!! It was amazing! We now can't stop talking about it and want to try everything else they offer. You can tell they really enjoy what they do!
Well, 1st, we informed the waitresswe would be gluten free, due to celiac allergy.
Next, I wish we'd taken photos of our meal to showcase some nice touches and some so so touches.
Drinks were fun and creative.
The caprese salad small a size.
Fried green tomatoes, nice.
The ceaser salad with grilled salmon spot on.
The braised pork and polenta, nice flavors.
The gluten free wild mushroom Alfredo was more the serving size for an appetizer.
Flour less chocolate cake, scrumptious.
Kinda a mixed bag for some items.
3 stars
Pepperās had the best lobster roll I had in Maine! Also, my friend has a gluten allergy and she had the gluten free lobster roll here twice with no contamination problems. Highly recommend!
Gluten free fried seafood!!!!! Wow, I used to come here years ago and then developed celiac disease in my LATE 40s (not fun) so I had to stop visiting but lo and behold they did it, they came up with a gluten free batter AND a separate fryer for cooking gluten free, however it is in a multi use kitchen but haven't had gluten issues yet. Thank you Thank you!
Had a very delicious dinner last night and service was excellent (special thanks to Shannon and the hostess)! I got the gluten free fried scallops and I was beyond impressed. The staff informed me that they have a GF fryer and GF batter for fried foods. Huge plus! My partner got the Shack roll and said it was the best lobster roll heās had! Definitely looking forward to another meal at the Shack!
I really wanted to like this place, but the service we received was very poor. We sat for at least 10 minutes before anyone touched our table, and when they did it wasnāt our server and the woman wasnāt apologetic at all, gave a rude response when I told her no one had come by yet. Then the server did not apologize either when she finally came over. Didnāt touch our table for a long time after our food came (which also took SO LONG) and I had to flag her down for drink refills. Only giving three stars because they had a lot of gluten free options which I really appreciated.
Tasty, consistent and reliably gluten free. We made a large, last-minute take out order and it was done perfectly. James at Brunswick location very helpful.
Large Selection. Super Fast and Friendly service. Gluten Free Option Had the Lobster Roll and Shrimp Roll Both were delicious. Large portions One is enough for two usually. Depending on what you buy,
Went to a wedding rehearsal dinner here and it couldn't have been better. The chef and owners are personable and did everything in their power to cater to the allergies of our party. Highly recommend for gluten free, the food is phenomenal and carefully crafted. Thanks so much, we look forward to visiting for a meal when we are back in Wells this summer!
Very friendly, knowledgeable staff and the food is AMAZING. They were able to accommodate gluten and dairy free meals for 2 people who are very strict about it. Props to the chef, they clearly understand flavor.
The food was some of the best we have had in a while. The gluten free toast was amazing. Burger was great and cinnamon bun French toast was great! Highly recommend

The Butcher Burger did a great job cooking the burger. The toppings went together well and produced an overall good experience. They offer gluten free buns that are a good size and taste good. The table seating is only outside with all the indoor seating being either at the bar or facing out the window. The inside does smell a bit smoky with all the cooking happening in the building, so you may want to eat outside if that bothers you.
GLUTEN-FREE!!! YAAAAY!! I had a sausage and onion gluten-free pizza that was delicious and French fries that were sooo good! So nice to find a place that has gluten-free that tastes good!!!
