I'm coeliac and always nervous when trying new restaurants. Wow what an experience. Great service and staff. The food was the most tastiest that I've had in a long time. Also so many options for me! We had lunch here recently after searching through several cafes for gluten and dairy-free options. It was quite a challenge, as my partner has intolerances to both. But our efforts were rewarded when we discovered this hidden gem. The staff were accommodating and the food was the best gluten and dairy-free lunch my partner has ever had. The coffee was exceptional as well. We will definitely be returning here for lunch whenever we are in Waterford.

Very busy restaurant in slane but excellent service all over. Starter was one of the best I ever had ,prawns/ chorizo with a hint of spice.i had a pizza which was also tasty but expensive at 17.50 and an extra 2.50 for gluten free base . Young waiter was excellent and overall the restaurant represented good value for money. Definitely return.

If you ask them in advance they will help in accommodating and show gluten free options and if you have other allergies, when I went the chef went and catered a whole menu for me so all the food was gluten free and accommodate my allergies.

We love Donatellos and have been here a good few times . My husband and I celebrated our one year wedding anniversary there tonight. The food was fantastic as always . We had a lovely table in the corner . My husbands dinner had come out before mine , which I had absolutely no problem about I’m not one to complain . No harm it gives him a head start as once mine arrives I can’t get the food in fast enough here 😂. One of the floor staff possibly a manager noticed I didn’t have my food , and went to check the kitchen. Again I never complained , wasn’t bothered in the slightest but they came down with a glass of Prosecco on the house and my dinner was out within minutes. I had ordered gluten free pizza base so took that bit longer . They went above and beyond for us and all the staff we had met were brilliant . One staff member in particular makes it’s such a great experience . I never got his name but he’s from the Philippines. He is such a lovely person who made the experience perfect . At the end they gave us a free shot as well to congratulate us one one year of marriage . We love it here and can’t wait for our next date night here . Thanks everyone 😃
