We always have fun at Picazzos. The food is gluten-free, which is great for my wife and my daughter. The waiters are happy and fun. They are very good at keeping everything fresh and hot. Highly recommend.
I was not expecting anything special by walking in the door, but I was especially surprised by the quality of the food, the excellent attentive staff, and the bonus is I could find anything I wanted on the menu for a gluten-free diet. Thank you for your first class food and hospitality.
We have visited Rocco's every year, typically multiple times, that we have visited AZ and thought the pizza was very good. This year was disappointing. My wife's gluten free had a less than satisfactory taste, my regular crust pepperoni/bacon was ok my not up to prior years' experiences. I doubt we will return in the future.
NOT GLUTEN-FREE FRIENDLY. DON’T EAT HERE IF YOU HAVE CELIAC DISEASE. They charged an extra $7 for a gluten free crust and cross contaminated my food anyway. I’ve been super sick since I ate there. Avoid this place if you have celiac disease.
1000/10! If I lived in Tucson, Renee’s would be seeing me ALOT. Lots of Gluten Free options and super yummy! If you’re in Tucson and need a romantic dinner spot this is the one, the vibe was literally perfect!
I had the build your own pasta bowl with gluten free pasta, marinara sauce , turkey meatballs which were big and the focaccia bread and the cheese cake with raspberry sauce. My mom had the gluten free pasta and the Alfredo sauce with chicken. It was absolutely delicious and the best gluten free I've had.I highly recommend this restaurant. The have many options for people who have food allergies, are vegan or vegetarian
and options if you don't have food allergies. The atmosphere is relaxing. I have eaten there before and had the gluten free pizza.it was very good.I will definitely be going back.
Tatum was our very nice, very patient server who did a great job. They have a lot of options for gluten free people (my sister) and they have delicious turkey meatballs (for me). I had a slice of pizza with sliced turkey meatballs & a lovely salad with Walnuts, gorgonzola & apples. They will do the salad on field greens or romaine. It was my sister's birthday so she got a free dessert of her choice - apple crisp with vanilla ice cream. We'll be back.
We have been coming to Scordato's for years. We love their Italian food, and discovered this year they have excellent martinis too! Emily and Hannah make such good drinks, and they are reasonably priced. They are fun to chat with when we sit at the bar, along with Rose, who entertains us while she makes sure all the glassware is sparkling clean. We love their chicken parm it is the best we found in Tucson! They also have a great meatball dish, and have gluten-free pasta, which we really appreciate. Portions are BIG! Their salads are good, their appetizers are good, and it is a nice atmosphere in the restaurant with many different seating areas.
We highly recommend Scordato's!!
Delicious gluten free pizza and pasta! Though they used to use their gluten free pizza dough as bread and our waitress told us they don’t do that anymore, which is really disappointing
Wow. I was so excited to try Vero Amore. I was astounded by how much our server hates gluten free and was completely unwilling to even discuss options. I asked about sauces for the pasta and she said, “I don’t know what you are allergic to, the description on the menu tells you what is in it” I wound up with gf penne with crushed tomato sauce and baked chicken. I was told I couldn’t have any cheese as it all had gluten. She was aggressively unwilling to help to the point I had to ask for her to get someone else to help me. I didn’t choose to have celiac disease and I know it can be hard for restaurants. I try to ask reasonable questions to stay safe and have never encountered this level of unwillingness to even try to accommodate. I thought going to a local restaurant with gluten free options on the menu would be fun and it turned out to be embarrassing and uncomfortable for our entire party in a way that I have never experienced. I gave one stars because I didn’t get sick. It was flavorless food and the worst service I have ever experienced. Don’t go here.
Actually, the bar tender was really nice and the drinks were great. The GM was also really nice when we talked with him before our meal.
We were a party of eight for Easter brunch, we ordered the tomato mozzarella drizzled in balsamic vinegar. The tomato was thin and appeared to have been overproduced from Saturday or even Friday a fresh basil leaf would have enlivened the presentation. We also ordered fried mozzarella. The breading was fresh and nicely fried, there was no flavor transfer indicating good fryer discipline. The gluten free mushrooms and cheese pizza enjoyed by my companions was well presented but not distinctive. The Tomato sauce used for the chicken parm and as a basis for the other tomato pasta dishes was flavorful. I noticed all of the pasta dishes were made with linguini. Unfortunately, the pasta appears to have been cooked long past al dente in bulk long ahead of service. NOT cooked to order. I’m not even sure the pasta was rinsed and chilled in ice water because the texture was so starchy because it may not have been cooked in enough water. It may not have been reheated in water but rather brought up to heat in some kind of green congealed creamy sauce with little distinct flavor of pesto no visible arugula or basil leaf entwined in a vibrant pasta pesto. The sunflower seeds were interesting but my northern Italian culinary training pesto is Pinole. When the dish was presented it appeared to have been molded in a bowl and turned onto plate guaranteed to hold its shape. The Service was friendly customer focused and very responsive. Outdoors under the veranda was perfect. Overall we enjoyed each others company
Very great food, decor, service! Kind of pricy but very high-quality, large menu variety and a “healthy hour”, gluten-free and vegan options galore whilst not sacrificing taste for health.
Update: been here a few times since the first review and unfortunately haven't had the same service. Today nobody was up front. We stood there for about 10mins and then I walked around asking for help, then a girl named Lyla came up straight faced, didn't say a thing. So I said "do we sit ourselves" she grabbed menus and just walked off. Our server, Jaya didn't know any options for gluten-free, non attentive and not a great server overall. Stinks that the staff does really matter on the experience you have and today was a let down. Bummed!
One of things that I feel a lot of restaurants miss the mark on is the hostess/host being friendly but not here! We walked in and was met by Brooke who had a smile on her face, was friendly and knew a lot about the menu! Then our server, Mikeal came over to our table and explained the menu and the options they had for gluten-free (which is a ton!!). The pizza came out quick, hot ... and SO delicious!!! I also have to mention they have crushed ice. Yummmm
This was the most delightful place I experienced during my trip. I stopped in 3 times while I was there. I'm allergic to wheat and this place is 100% gluten free!!! I stopped eating meat and the menu is vegan as well! A pleasant garden to eat in with hammocks! One of the days was a couple singing in the garden, which enhanced the atmosphere! I meant to stop by again on my way out but ended up taking to long.
If you're an energy feeler I suggest walking along the path in the back corner of the garden. I love the feel back there! Don't be afraid to take your shoes off and place your feet in the Earth. The staff here has 150% been delightful! They're very welcoming. They're happy to be there. They're willing with openness to answer any questions. The staff did not make me feel rushed at all.
I absolutely love this place! I don't see myself coming back to Sedona in the future but if I do pass through, I'll be sure to stop in. The ChocolaTree is definitely a breath of fresh air! A light in the center of darkness!
Meh my experience was mid. When Arrived the sign said to seat yourself so my boyfriend and his grandparents and I chose a table near the patio door. A server passed by and pretty rudely asked if we talked to the host I was about to tell her about the sign but she quickly and loudly said we have to see a host and stormed outside. Then another gentleman came over right after and gave us menus and I told him what the sign said. The day who spoke to us first became our server and realized we were handed gluten free menus, which we are not. The rest of the service was a lot better I think they felt bad. Overall its very loud im there, not really a place to get to talk to family. And the food was okay nothing exciting
Very great experience. The staff was amazing Phoebe you made my experience that much more for myself and my family. Thank u for your kindness and making us feel as if we were home. The cook-GM you rocked are Pizza. The Godfather Gluten free was to die for and just a regular cheese Gluten free just as good, oh yeah extra marinara sauce topped it off.
Thank u again
Was in town with my daughter who is Celiac. She was so excited to see that the had gluten free pasta. However, her excitement turned to disappointment when our server informed us that the Alfredo sauce is made with a flour based roux. So unfortunately she had to settle for the gluten free pepperoni pizza, which was good but didn’t make up for her craving for Fettuccini Alfredo. That being said, the service was good and the staff was knowledgeable regarding being gluten free which was appreciated.
We love going to Sauce. They have gluten free pasta. If you like a little kick, try the spicy sausage pasta. If you prefer no heat, the cheesy chicken broccoli pasta is the bomb.
This place sucks! This is the worst 50 dollars I ever spent and will not go back. Flavorless food, just awful. And the gluten free pizza tastes like crap. Costco gluten free pizza is 100x better. Do not eat here .
My gluten free pizza today was less than adequate, if you look at the bottom of the picture there was not even any cheese or mushrooms. The sausage was flavorful and that is all I can say good about my experience. For the price I paid which is more than normal since it is gluten free. I will not be returning.
Appreciate a celiac safe option.
Note- their flour blend, which is what they use in 90% of their goodies, has almond flour in it making it completely unsafe for someone with an almond/ Tree nut allergy. For a shop that caters to people with allergies you would think they would avoid such a major allergen.
Is also a very pricy stop with iconic-ly small Gluten free portions.
The non-pizza, long fermented pizza was great - worth a try. The decorations looked good, too. Though the long fermented dough is gluten-friendly and not gluten-free, it is nonetheless healthier than the quickly made average pizza.
This was my first time eating at BJ's and I will never come back. I got a chicken sandwich and my girlfriend got a cauliflower pizza. The food wasn't anything special and definitely over-priced. We finished it off with a "gluten free" cookie dessert which was pretty good. Immediately finishing our meals, we both rushed to the bathroom, 3 days later we are both still battling these food poisoning symptoms.
Absolutely delicious! We’re not vegan, but we do eat dairy-free, and Pizza Heaven was amazing at accommodating our dietary needs. They offer plenty of gluten-free and vegan options, and the staff was super helpful with allergens.
We ordered regular wings with their vegan mild buffalo sauce and vegan ranch—such a great combo! We also tried the vegan breadsticks, and they were incredibly tasty. Whether you have dietary restrictions or not, this place is a must-try. Highly recommend!
Genuinely confused how this place has this good of ratings?!?! Couldn’t even get my kid a pepperoni pizza, the pepperonis are so spicy. All pizzas have basically no toppings and all they are is crust and for $25. Gluten free asparagus pasta tasted like baby food. Again not a $25 plate. Portions are SO SMALL. Would not recommend going here. It’s was busy but took forever to get refills. Really would NEVER recommend this place to anyone for the price.
Chris & the catering team at Spinato’s helped us throw a fantastic wedding rehearsal dinner! Ava & Drew & the manager there, who I wish I could remember his name, helped make the night just wonderful! The food was phenomenal, the drinks were always refilled, and those with special dietary needs (mostly gluten) were accommodated easily! Everyone enjoyed the evening so much and the cannoli at the end were such a hit we ordered more! We loved how easy it was to enjoy the night without worry! Plus, they had to-go boxes so people could take left-overs, which we did have. We had the smaller room with 35 people and that was very comfortable. We would 10 out of 10 recommend working with Spinato’s for a catered event! The price range we checked included everything - room, food, drinks - including alcohol, and tip.
We get pizza from here often, but tonight was a bit of a disappointment. Not only was the food pretty cold, but a good number of the items were missing as well. They were apparently out of red onions, pickles, and just simply covered it with regular red onions, which was sort of gross, but all of the sauces that we asked for on the sides were not included as well. The biggest thing for me, those how cold the food was since I order gluten-free pizza and cold gluten-free pizza is like cardboard.
It’s loud, cramped, and chaotic AND the pizza is incredible, service is excellent, and prices are super reasonable! Salads are HUGE and fresh, they have gluten free options, and the bathrooms are clean.
One of our favorite lunch food stops when we travel I-10. Kitchen is very accommodating our WFPB (Whole Food Plant Based) gluten-free preference. We bring our veggie cheese and they build a gluten-free veggie pizza that is gourmet quality and they're normal menu is sure to please anyone!
This is a relaxed sports bar venue that is great for a fast meal or an afternoon or evening of food, drink, games, & entertainment. I'm sure must snowbird RVers will agree!
Just passing through with your RV? Silly Al's can accommodating with RV parking in the spaces behind the restaurant for only $5!
Cute and efficient pizza stop with custom made options!
I love the opportunity to pay the same price for the ingredients I desire vs. the restaurant’s signature pies. What a wonderful option!
If you crave pizza and don’t have a lot of time, know what you will get a good pizza with exactly the toppings you want here at Your Pie.
The servers were super sweet too, and it’s a high ceiling, open concept room with tables - and booths if you prefer more privacy. They also have a huge patio and I heard we’re dog friendly.
Prices are less than I last paid for a good pizza - and they have gluten free options if you need.
Well done! 👍
The food is much better than the dining room, although also a little more expensive, but it is worth it.
They have gluten free options.
A very nice place.
Gluten free menu was amazing, nice bar atmosphere, not too loud or crazy. Food was delicious and even received a first time appetizer that was tasty! Gotta love bar food done in a gluten free fryer that is just minutes from your house! Well done
