Great spot for wood fired pizza. Great that they have a gluten free crust option. The pizza ovens are in the middle so you can watch them going in and out. Pretty neat!
A place that advertises an entirely separate GF oven and has vegan cheese sounds perfect for our family. But their GF dough is made of wheat starch, which is NOT sufficiently free of protein for many with celiac and anyone with allergies. No sense having a dedicated space if you are using ingredients that quite possibly contain gluten (speaking as a health professional who has done the research on wheat starch ppm of gluten). Only other item available for me on the menu was a $10 "salad" of just greens...which came salted?!...and the salty cured meat appetizers. Huge huge let down. Please avoid if you are wheat or gluten free.
The gluten free chicken bacon ranch was so good and it was one of the best gluten free crusts I’ve had. I like that there are gluten free options for pizza. The service was also fast.
My experience at this restaurant was one of the best I have ever had. The service was outstanding. Gabby, Our server understood that I had a dairy allergy and a gluten intolerance and catered to that specifically this has been the first restaurant that I have not had to return food for A server not paying attention to the order. Gabby‘s passion for her job was shown through her smile and Positive vibes She carries.
Good drinks and food. Ordered the gluten free mushroom pizza and it didn’t taste like cardboard or sadness. Forgot to take a photo because I was famished. Would order again!
We had American Flatbread come to our wedding venue to make pizza for 100 people on site. They were very easy to work with, and arrived on time to quickly set up their own oven and tent to provide delicious appetizers and pizza for all of our guests (even during a thunderstorm that rolled through). The pizzas were incredibly delicious, and they did a great job accomodating our guests, including those with severe gluten allergies.
Chicken Marsala was well executed. The sauce had tremendous umami, not shy on the garlic. Chicken was well seared and juicy. The oven roasted carrots were yummy. I got mine served over mashed potatoes as I’m gluten sensitive.
Won't be back.
Wait staff was just terrible.
#1 Didn't seem to understand my allergy. I explained i am celiac and will get sick etc. Please have your staff complete the basic training required, please. However I am happy to explain cause not everyone gets it. She shrugged it off.
My burger came out with a fried onion ring on it. Then she proceeded to pull it off and say it was OK. Ummm NOT ok.
Please understand I don't do this for choice. I get unbelievably sick.
#2 proceeded to disappear.
Watched as she chatted with all the other staff but not check in if we need a 2nd round. I waited good 10 mins and proceeded to go to the bar. Then got total attitude after that for going to the bar.
Fix your staff.
With few other options in the area to go to, we found ourselves here a few times. Thankfully the pizza is great. Customer service was good. They also have a gluten free crust ( I have an intolerance not an allergy) and it was the best gluten free crust I've ever had. The regular pizza is a sourdough base, also equally delicious.
We hired the Woodbelly team to cater our wedding at the iconic Sleepy Hollow Farm in Woodstock, VT. As soon as my fiance and I walked into the Woodbelly shop for our tasting in Montpelier, we almost immediately knew we would want to work with them this summer. BLM artwork litters the walls, there's a sign that says "trans people eat free" under the register and Hailey greets you with the warmest smile from behind the counter!
Then...we tried the food. Nothing could have prepared us for how absolutely delicious everything was! And its not just their pizza thats mind-blowing, so are their vegetarian and chicken dishes. Hailey's service was wonderful, she (and her sweet daugther!) even did a site visit before the wedding to give us advice on where her team should set up, and what makes the most sense for rental planning. She was extremely accommodating to our vegan diet, as well and provided gluten-free alternatives for our guests. My parents mentioned "faine" aka "farinata," because we eat that with our pizza in our home-country of Argentina, and Hailey offered to learn the recipe and make it for us at the wedding. Thats how thoughtful she is!
We ordered:
- grazing table full of local cheese and meats
- maple seared scallops
- fish cakes
-farinata
-green salad with seasonal veg
-maple braised chicken thighs and drumsticks
-quinoa & bean stuffed squash
-pizza buffet with vegan cheese and GF crust options
-peach & blueberry cobbler
At the wedding, no one could stop talking about how incredible the food was, and how absolutely lovely Hailey and her staff are. We could not have had a better experience. Thank you and your team for making this happen!
Don't have photos to share yet (photos are yet to arrive from the photographer) but will leave you with this one of the bride getting her hands messy in some pizza :)
My husband has celiac disease and they had a great gluten free crust and made sure the side he ordered was a good option for him to be safe with eating it. My husband loved the pizza and my Greek pizza was fantastic, and I absolutely loved the sauce. Small little family place - so happy it was open on a Tuesday while we were in town.
The gluten free pizza at Bluestone is amazing and as a person with celiac disease and it nice to have somewhere local that I can grab a pizza and not have to worry about getting gluten poisoning by accident or cross contamination. The restaurant atmosphere is also cool and low key and the full bar and outdoor seating is also a huge plus.
Over-priced toppings. My wife and I went to AFB specifically for gluten-free and dairy free Flatbread pizza. Unfortunately, they were out of dairy free cheese, so we had to get it without. However, we added toppings such as chicken, Olives, and sun-dried tomatoes. AFB charges $2.50 for each additional topping, so you'd expect the toppings to be generous, right? Nope. The chicken was thinly shredded and sparse. Same for the sun-dried tomatoes. The olive topping probably equated to one or two whole Olives cut up and distributed across the pizza. So we paid almost $8 for maybe $1 worth of toppings. Absurd.
Best Gluten Free crust in the area. Love the Green Mountain Pizza - ask for a side of syrup if you like it sweet. Always have Hill Farmstead Beers on tap. Can eat outside on the lawn on nice days in the summer.
Very disappointed in the pizza and over priced. We had a hard time telling the difference in the pizzas because the toppings were so tiny. I had gluten free white pizza and it had no flavor/no garlic and the mushrooms again tiny pieces and few. 20$ All pizzas were super thin. Won’t go again. The staff were nice and order was timely. Seems like Covid has price up quality down everywhere.
After the lunch rush. Very few people in the place. Food was very good. Service was good. Tables weren't quite as clean as I think they should be...could have used a wipe down. Seem to be very knowledgeable about gluten intolerance.
If you are gluten free due to allergy or celiac the Quechee Pizza Chef GF pizza is not for you. We got glutened really bad after ordering a GF pie to go. It took an hour for them to make it which seemed promising but the cross contamination was too much.
We ordered the gluten free pizza. I clearly stated that it should be moderately cooked. It was received overcooked: the bacon and bottom crust were blacken. Regardless of my specific request, the pizza should not have been served... it is a shame since the atmosphere is respectable
Excellent pizza - gluten free crust was also delicious- fantastic adult beverage selection - lovely garden seating when it's warm and cozy indoor seating when it's not. Steady stream of takeout orders while our party of 12 dined.
Above Average - The pizza was tasty, as a new gluten free eater, im not sure I like much of any gluten free foods. It was def one of the better ones I have had. I appreciate any restaurant that accommodates gluten free people, so thanks for that. zi will absolutely come back.
My gluten free dining experience was positive. A non-conventional gf crust, square shaped and tasty, ~8 to 9 inches. I had a half salad and it was a nice size. The lemon dressing is house made and delicious. The regular pizza my husband ate looked good too.
Always will recommend Jimmaz for your pizza needs! Gluten free pizza gets 10/10 fresh and 5/10 for reheatability unless you pan fry it in a cast iron and small amount of oil then it re-crisps and its amazing again.
I almost didn't go, but one of my traveling companions had an unrelenting hankering for pizza. So we found this local place with beat up vehicles in the parking lot... It was an excellent choice for lunch. And they had fabulous gluten free pizza, too. Definitely recommend the Old World pizza.
Third Place is awesome! The food is delicious and staff is super friendly. I had to switch to a gluten free diet due to health reasons, and I really wasn't expecting GF pizza anywhere in Castleton. Third place has it and it's amazing. I had to give up their fried pickles and poutine but it's so SO good. These folks even jumped my car this winter when it died picking up pizza. Thanks again Third Place. A+ crew
First time in and I love this place! The staff were super friendly, the food was good, and they even had gluten free options for pizza too. Very clean and nice inside with loads of seating. Highly recommended!
The owner was angry I asked for a gyro without a pita. Didn't even ask why. I have a gluten intolerance, its none of your business.
Don't get mad at my innocent request! Shame on you!
We ordered two pizzas for delivery to a local hotel in Colchester, ME this past week. Both were delicious. One pie needed to be gluten free. That was a Pizza a la Vodka and it was awesome!!!! Tender chicken chunks, spinach was tender, and the cheese was fantastic. The GF crust was tender...it can be really inedible sometimes. The order came promptly. The cost really reasonable. I wish there was a Three Brothers down here in my patch of Virginia.
We chose this spot because there were really only a couple of restaurants in town. It was very clean and nice and the staff was very friendly. They were out of the gluten-free crust and honestly, I was surprised that they offered it. They had a big menu and I ended up just getting a regular pizza with pesto and artichoke hearts and some other things. Our friends got sandwiches and we were all very satisfied. There were only a couple other people in the restaurant since it was kind of a weird time of day and we liked that they had outdoor seating. It was pretty hot inside. They had cute decor and it seemed like a lot of locals were showing up to eat.
Food was great last night, however we ordered two gluten-free pizza's and only received one, (the other was not gluten-free I do want to elaborate that we got everything we ordered) however we didn’t realize this until it was too late, and my brother with celiacs was in for a ride.
