Visited for the first time, initially planned to do carry out but decided to eat in as it was quiet.
Service was fast and extremely pleasant. There was a slight mix up with one item ordered, but it was swiftly taken care of without issue.
Food was delicious, and for me personally, finding good gluten free (celiac safe) options can be a challenge - I will definitely be returning here as the honey glazed garlic chicken (GF) was devine!
Customer service was first class.
Definitely recommend!!
I've enjoyed everything I had here. Lots of different cuisines, so it's nice if a group is wanting to eat different things. Easy to have something tasty that's gluten free or vegetarian or whatever
My favorite restaurant establishment in the city! They take all consideration into celiac and gluten free by having a separate kitchen with fryer for health reasons ! Truly such amazing food!
Pricey but delicious, generously sized pancakes and friendly service. The menu offers a great variety, including gluten-free options, making it suitable for many dietary needs. The atmosphere is cozy and family-friendly, perfect for a relaxed breakfast or brunch.
My favorite "mom+pop" place for a drink and a snack or meal.
So grateful for the dairy free/gluten free options. The food is so delicious and fresh and the atmosphere is quaint and inviting. I recommend the Dandelion blend and a coconut date square (made with spelt flour)or a fluffy, gluten free muffin!

We dropped in here for some drinks and appetizers. We tried the fully-loaded crispy potatoes, beet-humus dip, and fries +dips. The fully-loaded potatoes were so incredibly good I ended up ordering two. The dish was cooked three ways, crisp, balanced flavor, and some added kick from the Jalapeno. The beet hummus was okay but could have used more seasoning. I tried the watermelon sling that tasted light, I would've maybe preferred it have more tangy/sour flavor, but it was still good. My friend loved her margaritas. Our waitress was quite pushy to make us leave when the restaurant was practically empty 🙃. However, another waitress made up for it when she brought us shots for a life event we were celebrating🎉. I'd definitely come here again and try more dishes. I'd highly recommend the fully-loaded potatoes. The menu surprisingly had many gluten-free and vegetarian options.
Had an awesome night at Chilli Chutney Street Kitchen in Winnipeg! The mix of authentic Indian street food and Hakka‑style dishes was bold and delicious—especially the veg samosas and tandoori soya chaap, which had perfect spice and flavor
. The cozy, vibrant space felt welcoming, and service was friendly and attentive . Amazing value with generous portions—even some tasty vegan and gluten-free options. Definitely my new go-to for Indian comfort food in town! 😊
The food was good. The service was great. The waitress was very knowledgeable in regard to gluten-free items. They have many GF options, and they even have a separate fryer.
Love Pineridge Hollow. Their food is delicious and servers are happy and helpful. Delicious gluten free pickerel and fries. You can walk through the interesting shops. There are so many things going on. Highly recommend you go and also check their website.
One of our fav spots in Winnipeg. Extremely Celiac friendly with dedicated fryers for GF! Lovely service and always reccomend coming here. Thanks Paige H. For the best swrvice!
we really enjoyed the patio, very quick service. love that they have an enclosed portion of the patio, and a fully outdoor side. our food was great, gluten free petite steak and fries was great. good happy hour menu as well! our server was very knowledgeable on gluten free items and was accomodating.
I believe the supervisor’s name is Gurman who we had a very pleasant experience with. He is an amazing employee and he catered to our need as my wife has celiac.
Very flavourful food, one of the best I have had in Winnipeg, quick service, not that expensive. Lot of dietary options for people with dairy/gluten sensitivity. was a bit congested in the dining area. Otherwise 5 stars !!!
we ordered breakfast for our valentines date and somewhere between Doordash and the cafe, our order was missing and we had to call them to figure it out, and then pick up the food ourselves an hour-ish later than we’d originally planned for. the server was so kind and apologetic about the mixup and didn’t charge me for the food when i finally picked it up! we appreciated that so so much, and we still had an excellent valentines breakfast!
we ordered the pumpkin french toast, which was conveniently gluten friendly, and it was genuinely the best breakfast i’ve ever had from a restaurant. the pumpkin loaf was incredibly moist and flavourful, and the cinnamon butter and whipped cream were the perfect toppings.
we were really happy with the portions as well, since the three slices were rich and dense and very filling. we will absolutely be getting this again!
The food is always great, but they took the celiac and peanut/treenut allergy more serious than any resturant me and my family have been to, so much so that the chef came out and confirmed our plates were given to us in the right order so the celiac person didn't get what they werent supposed to. Just amazing care. And with the peanut/tree nut allergy person, they got both chefs to check on certain items, just outstanding.
This is why I go back! Love this Keg.
A Mixed Bag with a Strong Finish
We recently visited Santa Lucia Pizza with a party of nine—my parents, my wife, our three kids, two friends, and myself. Our plan was to arrive around 5:30 PM, with my parents getting there early to secure a table and place our order so the food would be ready by the time the rest of us arrived. Unfortunately, the visit got off to a rocky start.
Upon arriving early, my parents requested a table for our full party. However, they were told by a female manager that, due to company policy, they could not be seated until everyone had arrived. While we understand that some restaurants operate this way, the situation could have been handled more professionally. The restaurant was far from full at the time, yet my parents were made to wait for more than 10 minutes with no accommodation or courtesy extended.
When we did arrive, my dad was still speaking with the same manager, who responded to his concerns with a rude tone and dismissive attitude. Instead of offering an understanding ear or solution, she made a pointed comment about how this situation could have been avoided if we had made a reservation—essentially placing blame on my father. As someone who has worked in the service industry for years, I found this incredibly unprofessional.
To make matters worse, when I went to the host stand to ask whether gratuity would be automatically included for our large group, I overheard this same manager speaking about my dad to the hostess—clearly referencing him in a less-than-respectful tone. That kind of behavior is absolutely not what you expect from someone in a management position, especially in hospitality.
Thankfully, the experience took a turn for the better once we were seated. Our server, Carly, was a breath of fresh air—warm, bubbly, attentive, and professional throughout. She took the time to ensure all our needs were met and brought a sense of ease to the table, especially after the rocky start.
A special shout-out goes to Danic, a male manager who came out personally after we informed Carly that my wife has celiac disease. He reassured us that her meal would be carefully prepared and took time to explain the steps the kitchen would take to ensure her safety. His personal attention and thoughtful approach were greatly appreciated and went a long way in restoring our confidence in the restaurant.
I called later in the evening just to let Danic know he and Carlly did a wonderful job but was was first met with the female manager who again shared a very aggressive and short tone with me. Once I talked with Danic he was so personable and grateful for the call.
In the end, while the beginning of our evening was marked by disappointment and frustration due to the behavior of one staff member, the dining experience itself—thanks to Carly and Danic—was very positive. The food was great, and the service (once we were seated) was excellent.
Final Verdict:
⭐️⭐️⭐️☆☆ (3/5 stars)
Santa Lucia Pizza has potential and some standout staff members, but their customer service—especially from management—needs improvement. A more respectful and empathetic approach from all team members would have made this a 5-star experience.
What can I say, these folks know how to do steak.
Unfortunately for me, I'm celiac so need to be careful. They have a few gluten-free items on the menu and many more that can be modified to be GF.
My steak was medium, the perfect temp on my plate, and I'm fairly certain we didn't talk during the meal, but we definitely enjoyed them.
The significant other has lobster. She was in heaven.
We skipped dessert.
The only downside, and it really wasn't, was that there was a lineup, and the hostess stated we might be waiting 45 mins without a reservation. We were only waiting about 20mins while we enjoyed our Mushrooms Neptune appetizer at the bar (GF, they didn't have the potato puffs, GF on the menu), and our wine pairings were perfect.
Bonus: AWESOME bar staff and table service!
Four stars for the atmosphere is how hectic it seemed. Tight spacing and constantly moving with purpose staff, detract from a relaxing environment, but that's not anyone's fault. Maybe because we were on the 'bar side' once seated at our table.
Also not a place for those who might be watching their budget. We had a gift card and easily doubled that.

Went for a work trip dinner, and it was very tasty! My coworkers with no food allegiance allergies really liked the mushrooms and ribs appies.
Had multiple gluten-free and some gluten and dairy free options. Fryer is nominally gluten-free, but they fry a lot of shellfish in it. They even had GF vegan carrot cake as a dessert option, which was a pleasant surprise.
We went with our 8 year old celiac daughter. She loves sushi but usually can't get gluten free at restaurants because they don't keeps things separate. They made her a special Dynamite roll and she loved it! She was thrilled and felt fine later. My husband and I also thought our rolls were fantastic!
Unfortunately, our experience went horribly wrong.
We went on the weekend for brunch, and we asked the waiter if a specific item was gluten-free or not. She was not sure, and she went to ask the manager, and they assured us that it was gluten-free. So we ate, and all was good at that point. we paid and left.
5 minutes after we left ate, allergic reactions started. And we felt bad for 3 days after that. It was horrible that they didn't even care if the food is cross contaminated or not.
I do not recommend this place if you have food allergies. They don't know how to handle food in the kitchen.
Beautiful restaurant in a great area. Our server Thor was incredibly resourceful and on top of things. I had the arugula burrata salad, and it was not my favourite thing I’ve ever had. I really did not enjoy the tomatoes in it, maybe I had a bad batch but they were so mushy, way too salty, and tasted rancid. I had to pick them all out they were terrible. I really enjoyed the burrata especially with the gluten free toast. It looked better than the baguette it is supposed to come with, and it was very crunchy. The rest of the salad was okay, but I couldn’t get past the tomatoes.
Absolutely amazing!!! I do not say that easily with Italian places. I am super picky but wow!! Everything we had there was a 10/10! My husband has celiac and they had a ton of options for him, which is the main reason we decided to try it. That was a real treat for him to have more than 3 options!
The reason why I didn't give 5 stars the opening hours are a bit limiting. It's mainly office hours expect some days on the weekend. If you work later, it's a bit of a struggle to get to this bakery. The Cakes and chocolate are amazing they have a lot of choice for gluten free.
Great place. Loved the atmosphere and food. I really like the set menu style and they were able to accommodate for gluten free. Our server Adam was very courteous and attentive. Thanks again!
A very nice restaurant with fantastic service and great knowledge of celiac disease and gluten free options.
The food was delicious and the service was exceptional.
The restaurant itself is quite dark and feels more appropriate for dinner than lunch. We look forward to visiting again.
Plenty of gluten free options available. The server was knowledgeable about celiac disease and mentioned without asking that I could have fries because they use a separate frier. I did and fries were delicious! I felt safe and the atmosphere is amazing.
I can’t say enough about this sushi spot – it truly deserves five stars! The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, perfect for relaxing and enjoying a meal. The fish is always fresh, and I can taste the quality in every bite. The flavors of each dish are absolutely spot on, from the perfect balance of sushi rolls to the teriyaki sauce that’s just the right amount of sweet, exactly how I like it. The staff here are simply amazing – attentive, warm, and always making you feel welcomed and valued. There’s also a great variety of food options, from vegan to gluten-free and allergy-friendly dishes, so everyone can find something they’ll love. I often come here with my family, and every single visit leaves me satisfied. If you’re looking for a place that consistently delivers both exceptional food and wonderful service, this is it!
I usually really like going to Chachi’s at the outlet mall. Yesterday we ordered two gluten free clubbin sandwiches. The bread was horrible. It tasted stale and it was falling apart as you were eating the sandwich. We go here specifically because we can get gluten free bread and the sandwiches usually have ample toppings. Not this time. I could barely taste the meat or sauce there was so little. When you have to pay $3 extra for gluten free bread these sandwiches were a big disappointment.
My cousin is gluten intolerant and our server, 1049 Bayliegh, was extremely careful, knowledgeable and patient. She checked out every entree my cousin was considering. The result was an enjoyable and safe lunch. We were very impressed.
Nancy D is an amazing server. Any questions we had she was able to answer or ask the kitchen to ensure our meal was fully considerate for gluten free(celiac disease). We had the build your own grand slam and Santa Fe skillet, both were delicious! Overall an awesome experience and we will definitely be returning soon.

This place is an unpretentious approach to amazing food and excellent organic wines. Their gluten free menu is anmazing and very accommodating for people with celiac. You don’t feel like you’re missing out at all! Luc was so knowledgeable and make our experience fabulous.
Today I ordered the house salad with the roasted red pepper soup. The soup was delicious and so was the salad that was brought out. As I was eating my friend pointed out that it was actually a caesar salad. Once I brought this to the waitress attention she was more than happy to swap out the correct salad. Normally I would not say anything and just continue to enjoy the food I am eating but I was already having a bad day and I decided I desreved what I ordered. Boy was I happy to have made this choice, the dressing was amazing and I will definitely order the house salad again. I also got a chocolate torte to go because it is the most delicious moist gluten-free thing I've eaten. If you have not tried this before, do! Or try the carrot cake because it's also amazing.
Waiter took forever to show up to take our order but the food came quickly after he got our orders. The chicken club was very juicy, even with a gluten free bun.
Had a great experience here. Service is prompt and courteous. Very professional. Server took and filled the orders exactly as requested including special gluten allergy requirements all by memory. The food was also carefully prepared to our liking and was absolutely delicious. I highly recommend this place for all ages and palates. We will be back again soon.
