Amazing that they have gluten free, but does feel like they've lost a bit of their spark.
Been going down a couple of times a year, and seems to be less impressive food. Food was nothing special, which is a shame considering the cost. Also, when asked how everything was, I said the soft drinks needed checking as the lemonade was just soda, they did apologise but didn't change the drink (id only had a sip) and nothing was taken off the bill. Perhaps I should have been clearer on my expectations. That being said it's a shame it wasn't quite up to scratch as it used to be a real gem.
I have been to the Salt & Malt in Bristol centre and this had a much better feel and different menu options.
Gluten free pies and amazing ones. Coeliac safe though always a risk of cross contamination. Amazing pies and fun place. Rather noisy when full otherwise highly recommend.

Owen was fantastic with us. After recently being diagnosed with Coeliac disease he assured me of all the safety protocols that are in place at Pho, and took the time to go through the menu with me.
The food was lovely! First time eating at Pho, and certainly won’t be the last!!
First time in the New Porto Lounge. Really impressed. Good food, excellent provision for gluten free, lots of space and very relaxing. Thank you so much.
The restaurant was quite empty when we came but we had a great experience. Staff were the perfect combination of attentive but giving you space. Food was delicious and caters for those who are vegetarian/vegan and gluten-free. So many different combinations can be ordered and it all tastes so good. Will definitely be visiting a Pieminster again;
I’m not a bad review type person, but I think it’s necessary. I’ve seen a lot of reviews on here about how nice and lovely the food was and I feel like they’re either being super generous, or they’re a bit delusional and probably have very disposable income. The few I’ve seen regarding the price for what is given in my opinion are most honest. I bought a “Buddha bowl” which I asked for a poached egg with (for an extra £1.25), came to just under £15, to which when it came was practically an empty plate, full of Tescos finest hummus… mmm yaaay!
literally, just a whole bottom layer of pure hummous.. from probably Tesco, (you can tell) with “roasted aubergine & squash” sprinkled on the top, giving the illusion there’s something to dive into. No, it’s definitely just hummus… just Tesco bought hummous. A whole yummy bowl of it, To Then be given ONE SLICE of (coop’s fossilised gluten free bread) CUT INTO THREE FINGER slices. WHAT? Absolute piss take. “Buddha bowl” you know,imagine?.. If Buddha ate that, he’d be Ghandi.
But wait, There’s more..
When I asked for just a little more bread to go with my mousse, I was told it would cost an extra £2.15 .. oh nice. If I wanted another rationed dry toasted finger slice of gluten free co cop branded crackers, I should pay for it. Sweet. Gotcha..
Maybe I should’ve got another egg, it’s cheaper.
Then in all the madness, besides my 3 thin slices of flavourless avocado, was the juicy “red cabbage salad” about literally 7 shreds (I’m not exaggerating at all), of cabbage and a chunk of core. Right there, I saw it, with my eyes, not even hiding. Just outrageous. What do they do measure it in milligrams?
I told the girls behind the counter and we agreed on the audacity, however no refund was offered. I guess I’d gone too far to ask for money back once I dived into the lake of deception. Assuming I was getting a mouthful of aubergine. She noted my complaint, reasoned & said she’d mention it to the head chef, who I think should rather consider converting to a shakes and smoothies lounge, because thankfully the smoothie was one of the best I’ve had in a long time.
Service for me was decent, nice girls, accommodating energy and the sofa was comfy.. but food prices/quality deserves a slap.
Impero Lounge is right on the High Street in the heart of Portishead, perfect to stop in before a jaunt around the harbour. They’re on a corner with huge floor-to-ceiling windows (that open right up) wrapped around two sides, flooding the vaulted interiors with light. There’s a lovely terrace out the front too, perfect for watching the world go by.
They’ve a fantastic range of food and drinks (including full kids, gluten-free and vegan menus) served in this relaxed, welcoming space. Look out for their mural celebrating Portishead’s old power station and lighthouse. Which is apt, as they’re a bit of a powerhouse and a shining beacon for the hungry and thirsty people of Portishead.
Went for brunch. Nice food and gluten free options. Friendly staff and great service. Asked for water and was provided it within a minute, which is the first time this has happened in a long time, I normally have to ask again in restaurants. Good breakfast offer. We'll certainly be going back. Lovely outside seating area.
Brilliant independent cafe/bar! Great selection of food and drink and can cater for most allergies. They had a great selection of Gluten-free food and cakes!
There is a baby changing room in the ladies bathroom, in the end cubicle (FYI)
Dog friendly and good atmosphere. Well worth a visit! Can recommend booking if you can to guarantee a space!
A great Sunday roast! I have coeliac disease so eating out can be a challenge sometimes. However, not here. As soon as we walked in and explained I was coeliac the person that met us went straight into the kitchen to find out what I could/couldn't have. Then went our waitress took our order she explained that her brother had coeliac disease which was so reassuring and she also explained that the kitchen staff were cleaning everything down. Brilliant service, thank you! The food was lovely, would absolutely recommend
Had an amazing meal here yesterday and so did 3 members of our family who were with me.
I am dairy and gluten free and they were so helpful accommodating me.
Delicious food and very attentative service.
We will be back sometime.
Fab for gluten free! —GF Sunday roasts and GF fish and chips are not to be missed. All but 1 option for the roasts were gluten free and all the traditional sides are GF (they make a gf Yorkshire) so you don’t miss out on anything! Save room for pudding too. Staff were super friendly and knowledgeable. A fave spot in Clifton and the regular menu also had a lot of gfo if you go another day. Do book ahead to make sure you get a table
I've been going to this place for years mainly for lunch, but recently went for Sunday Breakfast, all five of us had Different dishes and everything was great, you'd be hard pressed to find a better quality Full English and for my Son who's Gluten intolerant they concocted and amazing roast Pork with corn Bread and lots of tasty trimmings, good service, really friendly Staff and big enough to easily accommodate a party of six...... Coffees decent too......
My partner and I came to Pasture to celebrate his birthday and it was our first time eating here. Honestly, it was such a brilliant experience! The staff are so attentive, kind and knowledgable; I think our server was called Sam (apologies if I got that wrong) and he spent time talking us through the menu, portion sizes and took extra care with my order as I am Coeliac, even double checking the ingredients of different sauces with the kitchen so I knew for certain what I could and couldn’t eat. I was even given a separate menu with all the dishes I could eat due to my dietary restrictions, which made the ordering process so simple and stress free. The food was absolutely delicious and the tenderstem broccoli alongside the steak fillet to share was a real highlight. A great selection of craft beers on guest and draught too. Thank you for making my partner’s evening so special by bringing out a surprise birthday ice cream with a candle! We will definitely be spending more special occasions at Pasture in the future.
I tried their gluten free pizza after being recommended it by so many people. I have tried many of the gf pizzas available in Bristol and was really excited for this one after hearing such good things! I hope management will take my feedback in a positive manner and my suggestions on board perhaps. :)
Firstly, the pizza came really fast. I ordered via a delivery app and it was with me in 15 minutes. So this aspect was great.
Secondly their dough is delicious. Really tasty. They have got their recipe just right. The crusts were absolutely amazing and probably joint top with the best GF pizza crusts I’ve tried!
However, the rest of the pizza (where the toppings are) was far too thick. Like double the thickness it should be, and it was not cooked properly.
It was stodgy, thick and weighed a tonne in the box and in my stomach.
I ate maybe two slices and then threw the rest of the pizza away, except for the crusts which I ate (they nailed this part).
For a £20 pizza, this was quite upsetting. I am not someone who throws away food or wastes money if I can possibly help it.
There was also way too much cheese, in my opinion. This added to the overall stodgy and heavy feeling of the pizza.
It was more like a New York style, deep pan pizza and quite greasy too. Albeit I did order one with nduja so this was probably the reason for the greasiness. Again, I threw most of the greasy parts away as they were dripping with oil and I found that quite off putting.
If I had known it would be a deep pan style pizza I would not have ordered since I don’t enjoy eating this much food in one go. I don’t feel good after and plus this base was so thick that it was very gummy, almost like it was raw dough.
I think that most GF diners are on the more health conscious side of things. And are probably(??) hoping for a thin and crispier pizza, more like a regular pizza that is made with a wholewheat base.
I’d like to suggest to management with full respect and appreciation of the craft that has gone into creating their delicious gluten free dough (I know it’s not easy), that they work to make the main base of the GF pizza much thinner. I think this would be more appealing to most customers and certainly to me.
I wouldn’t try the gluten free pizza here again as it stands now but also, I know maybe my experience was a one off. And I stand by what I said about the crusts being the best I’ve tried! Joint with one GF pizza chain I tried in Madrid.
I hope management take my comments with the respect with which I write them ❤️🙏🏼
Really good pizza cooked in minutes. The staff are incredibly freindly do it's my go-to pizza place. There is a wide range of toppings and even a gluten free base option.
Brilliant visit! Really couldn’t fault anything! Food was tasty and well presented, huge choice of pizzas and gluten free bases lovely! We also had two sides, wings and fries, which were also gluten free.
Had a large glass of wine and partner had alcohol free beer (one of 5 alcohol free options!) which went down very well.
Definitely will go back and definitely recommend.
I have visited Harbour House 5 times in the last few months which says all you need to know. The food is delicious - I particularly loved the tuna nicoise over summer, and now the surf and turf is beautiful. I am coeliac and the gluten free options are delicious, and this has been handled professionally and with absolutely no issues.
It is a lovely venue both inside and on the terrace. The thing that has really stood out is the service - the waiting staff are awesome, friendly and attentive. I recommended it to my colleague and we are now coming to Harbour House for our work Christmas party as well!
Staff were very helpful, got food to us quickly during a busy time, made sure we always had bevs and plenty of napkins.
Food was delightfully messy (fingerbowls provided!) and all very delicious. Vegan, vegetarian, and gluten free options aplenty & well signposted on the menu. Get some chilli fried okra to share for the table, little texture/flavour explosions that go with all mains.
Every table was full when we arrived at 20.30, great atmosphere, nice chilled courtyard out back to wait for table/cool off/vape!
Shout-out to the member of staff who validated me, for basing my dish choices on getting both Okra & Ackee.
We had been told that there was quite an atmosphere, aside from the fact that it has a certain name, the place is ideal for a beer and also for eating. There is quite a variety of beer, even gluten-free
Staff extremely attentive and friendly. They provided a refined gluten free menu and options.
Food is good, but very pricey for portion size. Don’t arrive too hungry!
This had got to be one of my favorite places to eat in Bristol. Incredibly tasty food and great for gluten free diners. Complex and delicate flavors, hearty, but not too heavy.
Meal was a bit overcooked. Service great. We were a group and had reserved beforehand seats and meal. We had a private room upstairs. They managed with my diet gluten free and dairy free but just removed part that had it without making a replacement to not miss out of the roaster experience. Nice area.
I normally have a great experience here, and the staff are always really friendly. But this evening, unfortunately, I didn't. Tonight my gluten free pizza was cooked for too long, so it was quite cardboard-like and the eton mess for dessert tasted, well, weird! It almost tasted like someone had added perfume to it?!
I have to say though, staff were great and took the feedback with civility. They were very good!
We normally go to eat before a show in the wardrobe theatre, and I'm sure we will again, we may just think for a minute before we do.
We visited just before Christmas and had a poor experience. Noted on the booking that our 4yo was coeliac and diary free. Took nearly half an hour to get a marked up menu for their safe to eat items, and over an hour to receive our food. Requested snacks in the meantime to tide over our young child who was getting increasingly upset, which didn't arrive. When I asked for our waitress to come to our table for the third time I watched her roll her eyes at the other staff member before further delaying coming to us. I felt mortified that she felt that way but had no choice but to stay to try and get food for our small child. Second disappointing experience here, the food is variable quality although there was a good range of gf df items they weren't marked accurately on the menu we got in the end (a goats cheese dish was marked df for example). Won't be returning, and will be advising anyone I know not to come.
Just had an insane first experience here. I reserved a table and upon arrival was sat at a sticky table which eventually was cleaned. I asked from a gluten free menu highlighting what on the menu was GF. Both salmon maki and avocado maki are available independently but for some reason salmon avocado uramaki was not highlighted. I asked the waitress if a gluten free version could be made. She seemed confused. Eventually her superior said salmon avocado is not available tonight. So I naturally thought they are out of avocado. I then asked for salmon sushi platter- she then says that they have run out of salmon. (Would have been nice to know upon arrival) I say ok I'll have the tuna set. She then says we are out of Tuna also. So essentially the ingredients for 80% of their menu is run out. Awful staff training, knowledge and common sense. My partner and I had to get up and leave with empty stomachs , sticky fingers and blown minds. MUST DO BETTER
Visited a few times now and always had a fantastic service, so much so that booked for a recent work event catering.
The sandwiches were so fresh, full of flavour and so many options. The portions were HUGE and there were some very happy and full stomach's!
The gluten free option was superb- really felt like it was the same as everyone else's with soft bread and great selection of fillings.
Won't hesitate to come back again soon and highly recommend. Thank you guys!
Fantastic place, beer is delicious and pizzas are tasty. Gluten free options available for both beer and food. Great music too. The tour was very informative and lots of beer to try! Will definitely be back next time we're in Bristol.

Had a fantastic meal at COR who catered brilliantly for gluten free (coeliac) requirements. Most of the menu can be adapted to be gluten free and staff were brilliant at communicating allergen information which made me feel at ease right away. They even had a lovely gluten free bread to enjoy with the appetisers.
The food itself was excellent - seasonal Mediterranean inspired dishes which had so much flavour. The Tropea onion with gorgonzola and hazelnuts was divine!
My favourite meal I've had in Bristol in a long time!
Excellent service from staff very friendly plenty of gluten free food and very tasty would definitely recommend cocktails are lush to we had sex on beach very fruity and refreshing
Food and staff here are lovely. Unfortunately a lot of the items marked on their menu as "gluten free" are not actually due to cross contamination, which as a coeliac is quite disappointing and could easily make someone very ill if they took the menu at face value. Please update your menu to reflect allergens correctly.
The staff, the food, the wine, THE DESSERT!! Honestly it was all so good! The only hard part of dining here is trying to decide what to actually order as the food was all so delicious! The ox cheek was so tender it melted in your mouth, the butternut squash was a really wonderful balance of texture and flavors. And whatever you do save room for dessert!! The white chocolate cheesecake was noteworthy!! Also, thank you so much to the staff as one of our table has a nut allergy and I have celiacs disease and they never missed a beat and they took care to ensure that we were safe with each of our plates.
