We visited on what seemed to be a particularly busy day, which unfortunately affected the overall experience. Tables hadn’t been cleared, and it felt like the staff were either stretched too thin or not effectively managed. That said, the gluten-free menu was impressive and offered plenty of options, which we really appreciated. I ordered the Buds Bowl, which sounded great on the menu, but it arrived missing key ingredients—there was no roasted squash or pomegranate seeds. With only one server visibly working and clearly overwhelmed, it was impossible to get their attention, and no one checked in to see how our meal was. Since we had to pay before eating, there was no opportunity to raise the issue or have it resolved, which left us feeling a bit disappointed. We’re keen to try the chain again at a different location because of the excellent gluten-free options, but we won’t be returning to this particular site.

Visited on 30/03/25 and the service was amazing from the servers, I didn’t catch her name unfortunately but the lady working there made sure our order was fully safe and gluten free for me to eat, reassured us it was okay, and was chatty with my partner and made us feel welcome, there was a little play area for our little baby, and when our baby bumped his head they gave us ice and marshmallows for him! Definitely worth the visit.

I love going to The Lounges because of their huge gluten free menu. Ive been to a few and this did not disappoint. The food was great, a wide variety of gluten free options with a dedicated menu. The cocktails are always great and it's a nice cosy atmosphere. The staff are always friendly too.

Had fabulous Gluten Free Cod and Chips from here. The fish was really fresh, cooked to perfection and piping hot. They have a dedicated fryer for the GF Cod and separate utensils for serving. Gluten Free vinegar was available and the meal was served with a wedge of lemon and a pot of tartar sauce. The staff are knowledgeable about Gluten Free and the boxes had stickers on them aswell 😋

The food here is amazing, and to say that this is 100% gluten and dairy free makes it so much better that I can have anything on the menu without worry! I was so spoilt for choice, I’ll definitely have to come back to try more items on the menu! 😁 Also the staff were so lovely and made me and my partner feel so welcome!

We dined here whilst on holiday. I am gluten free and my friend is not. I had the gluten free haddock, chips and mushy peas. I am very happy to report that the meal was fabulous, the fish was perfectly cooked and the mushy peas are really the best I have had. My friend had the plaice and hers was spot on too. I would not hesitate to recommend this restaurant for both gluten free and ordinary food. Very friendly staff too. Thank you for doing gluten free so well, we are not well catered for as a rule - we will be back.

Great place for people with food inflictions 😊. Separate menu for Celiacs, which was very impressive. Nice place, with seating inside and outside. Food very good. Service not that quick and had to be reminded that I'd ordered a desert. Would go again

This has got to be the best gluten free fish and chip shop I have ever eaten in. The food was amazing. I ordered cod and chips with a side of onion rings. It was incredible. I just wish I had known The portion size was so large. But I did spot Apple pie on the menu for desert so had to save some space. I travel for work and it’s not always easy to find somewhere so accommodating. I cannot wait to come again!

Absolute gem of a café, pasta was delicious and there was a lot of choice for drinks too! Almost all the dishes had vegan/gluten free options which was really refreshing to see. Staff are so friendly and the atmosphere is lovely ❤️

My partner is coeliac and not one, but TWO staff members mistakenly gave him a gluten-containing product. First the staff member on the bar when he ordered, my partner checked everything he'd ordered was safe, which the staff member assured him that he was. Secondly the server who delivered the oreo milkshake assured us that the biscuits on it were gluten free. It was only when I questioned the server repeatedly and asked her to double check the allergen list that the gluten was identified. Thankfully my partner didn't eat any. But he could have been seriously ill, and if someone with an anaphylactic allergy had experienced this then they could have died. Normally the Lounges are our #1 restaurant when eating out due to their diligence with coeliac dietary requirements. Unfortunately this has led us to put a lot of trust in the servers, and my partner was about to eat his milkshake before I questioned the server as his level of trust in the Lounges is high enough that he was willing to take her at her word. We will continue to eat at the Lounges chain as they have been brilliant every other time we've eaten at one of them. However it would be good if Portico Lounge could confirm that ALL staff at Portico Lounge will be required to undergo allergy refresher training, and that junior staff will be supervised by managers with more in depth allergy training.

Amazing place. The manager was lovely it was really busy and he was doing amazingly handling it all. The waiting staff were absolutely amazing too so kind and high spirited. The food was delectable alot of gluten free options too as well as mocktails and for a quite affordable price

Met my li'l sister here for a sister day and it was pretty perfect. It's a bit bright for us upstairs as there are windows along three walls but downstairs was a bit more den-like, which I liked. The staff were lovely and helpful. I am coeliac so I love a lounge (and spend a fair bit of time in them). It's just nice to know I can reliably eat there, although tbh a more interesting dessert selection would be nice. I am also pescatarian and dairy-free (a.k.a. ruddy awkward!) so I am generally just happy when there is something I can eat. So yeah, it's a lounge, predictable food, predictable (yet eclectic) decor and well trained, helpful staff. Best enjoyed with a sister (unless your sister is horrible, in which case my commiserations).

We had 9 tapas dishes, every one was divine. Best meal I've had in ages. I can only imagine what it's like to eat here in the summer. Me and my partners new favourite place. Perfect 👌

Took my partner for a surprise trip. The staff were very friendly and there was plenty of seats available. However this was on a Monday, so capacity might change. Partner is Gluten and Dairy intolerant, yet they catered for her. She said that it was one of the best meals she's had. The Eggs Benedict was lovely. Very highly recommended. We'll be coming back again for sure.

Anne's Pantry is an absolute must 'eat at' restaurant in Moelfre, Anglesey. Whatever the season, the delicious food & a warm welcome always awaits you. If, like me, you are a Coeliac, then you have hit the jackpot. They give my gluten free diet the same care & attention that they give to the normal diners & we absolutely love going there. We had an amazing lunch here. I’m coeliac, my menu choices were explained and plentiful. We had prawn nachos to start. They were amazing! I had a beautifully cooked steak with garlic butter and Parmesan cheese. The lamb Kleftico pie looked outstanding. Outstanding, friendly service. Can’t wait to go back!

I visited Creates with my partner and father for my birthday a few weeks back and we couldn't believe how beautiful this place was! The food was delicious, atmosphere and decor was warming, cosy and really suited the whole vibe of the restaurant- clearly a lot of thought went into it! A gluten intolerant/coeliac paradise, everything on the menu (yes... EVERYTHING) could be made gluten free and they even catered for my intolerance to Allium vegetables! The gentleman who served us (I assume was the owner?) was attentive, a joy to chat to and offered some of the best customer service I've experienced. I really can't fault them on anything, cannot recommend others enough to visit this wonderful place in the heart of Monmouth if you visit the town or local area, you won't be disappointed!

I booked a table for lunch today and the food & service was amazing! The gluten free choice is fantastic-I enjoyed the delicious lemon sponge cake! Price is fabulous too! Absolutely fantastic experience at Bill's in Cardiff Bay. We turned up without a reservation and despite the place being quite busy, we were seated promptly and drinks orders taken quickly. I'm Coeliac which means boring gluten free dining, but in Bill's there is a whole gf menu so I didn't feel left out. I had the Fish Pie and Banoffee Sundae, both of which were different from usual gf options. They also did a gf IPA which I wasn't very keen on but nice to have the option. We were served by Gabriel. He's an absolute treasure. If you're gf, you should deffo give the place a try!

Went for a late pizza for 1, enthusiastically greeted by Amelia (vietnamese/welsh), Ilka and smiling pizzaioloa. They clearly knowledgable about the menu, helpful, attentive and very efficent in their roles. My order was taken swifly, cooked and received hot within 4 and half mins. I was impress all 5 teams members checking day doting food labelling & cleaning the whole time I was there, toilet not a spect of dirt too. Plenty of colouring packs for the little ones, Vegan and Gluten free options.

First time here and it was great. The staff are friendly and it's nice and cosy inside with paintings by local artists. The food was tasty and they have a few gluten free options too - I got the gluten free bacon roll which was very nice. Would definitely come back again, a nice chill atmosphere, perfect for sunny days and a pint.

We ate there last Wednesday - the food was very nice and the service was very good. Mario and the kitchen team paid attention to my colleague's complex allergies and made a meal that was adapted for her. There are lots of chain restaurants in the Bay, but we came here because when I was phoning around to see who could take a group of 12 and handle one person's allergies respectfully without making her look demanding in front of new colleagues, Mario answered the phone and demonstrated what professional customer service should look like. He knew immediately what Cote's team would be able to do and didn't over-promise but gave me confidence that my colleague would not be left hungrily watching people eat and would not be made to feel bad for having allergies. I had been unpleasantly surprised that other restaurants did not respond as kindly as Mario. My colleague said Cote are usually pretty good, including a good gluten free menu. The food was well presented and well seasoned and the other staff were attentive too. Bottled water was a bit pricey. The restaurant was easily accessible for my colleague who cannot use stairs as it is quite well spaced out and flat.
