Everything so far has been great but the best thing on the menu is the cinnamon roll. Even my friends and family that can eat gluten prefer the cinnamon rolls made here. Just don't get the coffee it's over priced. Even with that 5 stars.
[gluten free review]: This place has been on my list for a while - not because I heard all about it, but because I had driven by it and always wondered what it had to offer. Now, typically a Friday night is not the best time to visit a place that doesn’t take reservations, but upon arrival, we were greeted, waited in line for a few short minutes and then were seated in the bar area. (Be aware - we were just a party of 2 - families of 4-5 ppl waited around 20 min for a table).
After getting seated, we took a minute to decide on our drinks and starters. The wait staff was extremely kind and patient, but didn’t leave us hanging once. We ordered the lettuce wraps as a starter along with two of the spicy cocktails (we both tried a different one).
The chicken that was served with the lettuce wraps gave a crunchy kung-pao type of flavor and we ate those SO fast. We ended up both ordering the spicy street noodles - my partner got the beef and I got the ground pork per my waiter’s suggestion. We finished our meals and loved every bite start to finish!!
The cocktails were absolutely banging with the spicy noodles we ordered ~ the sweet, tangy, tart, spicy flavors all melded together with the tequila for a delightful and fun experience.
We’ll be back soon - but I can’t recommend coming here on a cold day to warm up with some delicious Asian fusion cuisine.
This has become my and my husband's favorite place to eat out. He and I both love to cook, and it's hard to find places to eat out where we don't walk away saying, "I think we could have saved a lot of money and made that better at home." But the food at Oswego Grill is absolutely worth going out for! They have a great range in prices, so you can go out for a more casual and less expensive dinner like fish and chips or burgers, or you can go for a fancier steak or seafood dinner with delicious side vegetables. Amazingly, the atmosphere has the ability to make you feel comfortable with either going all dressed up or in shorts and a tee shirt. I feel like that's unique, and I love it.
Also, they do have gluten-free buns for anyone who needs that option!
Gluten-Free - BEWARE - They have gluten free buns, but everything is fried in the same fryer. For a place focusing on health conscious patrons - they fail at accommodating those with serious food allergies.
I usually always get a pie for me and my son at the PDX airport before a trip and it's delicious. I'm gluten-free and I ordered the cauliflower crust version. I'm not sure if I get the gluten-friendly at the airport or the cauliflower. Unfortunately, this crust had a very strong medicinal taste. It ruined the experience as the crust was not an enjoyable vehicle for the toppings. The staff was very nice and re-made my pizza, but it still had that weird taste. They should replace it. Next time I might try the gluten-friendly and see if that changes anything.
Great food and wonderful environment! We met a friend we hadn't seen in several years here for a great and relaxing dinner. The food was absolutely delicious, the drinks were great, and the staff was very friendly. I'm so glad that they have a good variety of gluten free options too. My only "complaint" was that all the desert options were chocolate based (which is not their fault- I'm the one who's not a big chocolate fan). One note- make a reservation even on a Thursday night!
Beware: substitution of Langostinos for lobster. So very disappointing! Food was also too salty. Bread was dry. Not impressed. Beet carpaccio was great . Other items we ordered Ceaser salad, burrata, salmon, pasta .. all average nothing special. Dessert apple tart.. great display at table again disappointed taste .. left skins on apples when baked. Marketing in your face advertising. We found restaurant to be rushed employees and loud music not my type of place! (Gluten free options very limited )
I enjoyed the dinner tasting menu here, I really appreciated that they have also have gluten free, vegetarian and vegan options available so this is my go to place to recommend and show off Oregon Pinot Noir and have an elegant dining experience with out of town guests without worrying what they'll eat. And it's a doable car share back home vs from wine county so we can all enjoy!! The service is very welcoming and extra appreciation to Kellie Harrison
Fantastic food with plenty of gluten-free options.
Thoughtfully prepared to order presented beautifully. Fresh clean flavors and healthy! Desserts are out this world.
I had an event I needed to get food for later that day. I really didn't want to go to the supermarket to get the food from then I remembered there was an Elephant's Deli down the street from my event location.
The staff there was so great and explained all the options I had. I ended up with the gluten free vegan soba noodles that were a hit.
Thank you Elephant's for your recommendations! You will be my go to spot for catering. I'll need to try their charcuterie board next time I have an event.
[gluten free review] We have dined here several times on both busy and dead occasions.
When it isn’t busy, there is always someone to greet and seat you - typically we sit at a table when it is not busy (we rarely make a reservation here as a party of two). The wait staff is great, kind, happy to help with anything. After ordering, the food does take a moment to prepare, but it’s never a period of time that is beyond expectation.
When it is busy, we will dine at the bar - their selection of beer, wine, cocktails is above average, but nothing crazy amazing. Our favorite pizza to order is the margarita and it is absolutely delicious.
What I really am impressed by is their gluten free crust. I have not eaten pizza containing gluten in many years, so my list of favorite gf crusts that lives in my notes app is extensive. Oven and shaker knocked everyone to the ground and took the top spot. In fact, I was worried they had made a mistake and brought the wrong pizza out. It tasted so good. Not crunchy or chewy or overdone. It is what a dream about when I think of pizza. They did it!
I haven’t had any other flavors of their gf pizza, but if you like a classic, you’ll love the gf margarita.
My mouth is watering just writing this review. Needless to say, I’ll be back in no time ready to dine at oven and shaker and crush a gf marg pizza.
