Everyone was so kind and upbeat, the food was incredible, and as a gluten free girly I felt very safe and catered to! Our server Janae even had my husband’s fries put in the gluten free fryer so I could steal a few 🤭 10/10 will be back again and again!
My boyfriend loves the usual which is the classic pepperoni cheese pizza with mozzarella I really like the Costello Pizza it's really good it has garlic olive oil fresh mozzarella salami pepperoni , prosciutto peppadews arugula and a reduction and to get the gluten-free pizzas only a two-dollar extra charge which is great cuz I've been in plenty of restaurants with the odd charge way too much money for a freaking gluten free version but they gluten-free pizzas only available in a 10 inch crust
We looked up gluten-free restaurants in the area. This is the first one that popped up.
I would say the food was good. Service took a while since it’s a small indoor only restaurant.
I eat out almost every night and most restaurant experiences are totally unremarkable.
OKAN is remarkable in every. Single. Way!
I mean where do I start?!
The service was excellent, everything I put in my mouth was phenomenal and when Chef Bernard came out to our table and connected with us, it made it a truly memorable experience.
He has been on the Food Network’s “Chopped” as well as “Beat Bobby Flay” so you’re in the midst of a native Chicagoan superstar 🤩
Run to this restaurant tonight my friends ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
PS- this is a gluten-free dream restaurant to boot!
This is a great place for brunch - the food is plentiful and filling, all fresh, tasty and local, and the drinks are interesting and refreshing. It's been perfectly cooked. We've stopped in twice in my time here and have had great food both times. The staff are lovely and informative, and the food tends to come out pretty quickly. It can get busy at the weekends, especially with the after-church crowd on a Sunday, so go early to avoid the queue. The pancakes are literally the size of a plate, so don't think you can easily manage two unless you have a mighty hunger! They do have gluten-free options, which was nice. I honestly think this restaurant provides great value for money.
We had such a long weekend looking at houses around Hilton and Bluffton.. and stumbled upon this gem right by the house we both adored, and we were blessed with meeting CHANDLER!! Chandler was so phenomenal. We have celiac and Chandler really made us feel safe with the food we were ordering, and also recommended us amazing drinks. (Get the Blood Orange and sit in Chandler’s section) The food was so good… and we will definitely be back! Thank you Chandler and Tio’s!!!🫶🏼
All of the workers were very lovely and attentive. My drink was never more than halfway empty, my food came fast and they had lovely gluten free and vegan options.
Y'all. Stop complaining about the prices. We get our eggs and chicken from here because they actually educate their employees as to where their food comes from. It's super important to support local businesses and farms. By paying an extra dollar or two at this quality establishment, you are ensuring that your local neighbors are also thriving, thus enriching your own community. When you pay cheaper prices at Walmart, you are feeding billionaires and exploiting underpaid workers.
We are happy to support Lowcountry Fresh and look forward to seeing them succeed here in Bluffton.
Aside from all of that, this place is beautiful, calming, and the staff is ridiculously kind and helpful. I have never had a poor experience in this store. My biggest disappointment was when they had run out of gluten free pastries by the time I got there in the late afternoon. I'd say so far so good...Shop local!!
Best breakfast in Old Town! The ABC scramble was delicious. The rancheros suited my friend without tortilla for a gluten free delight. She wanted the ABC scramble but it isn't GF.
I came in with my wife, MIL, and two daughters under 2. First, let me say that they were accommodating to our party, and having two young children, that's always something I notice. Our server, Kristi, was a gem and engaged with our children anytime she stopped by. The service was great.
The food was incredible. I always go into a breakfast restaurant with those standards. I'm not much of a breakfast person, but the food blew me away. I got the crab ocado scrambler, my mother-in-law got a creme brulee french toast, and my wife got gluten-free pancakes. My daughter had all three, haha. The French toast was decadent but not too heavy. GF pancakes hit the spot for my wife, and my scrambler was out of this world.
I never knew I needed to have crab cakes for breakfast, but I will certainly be back for a most memorable breakfast with a rich hollandaise sauce, eggs that weren't overcooked or scrambled, and topped with avocado and diced up bacon. Thank you to everyone who served us, from the server to the cooks.
This is our go-to stop when we visit this area 100%. - The food is amazing. The drinks are great! And the service is very friendly ... they easily accommodate gluten and dairy allergies. Pete and Joe are excellent bartenders. They always have creative cocktails. Their fries are among the best! Their menu is full of delicious options. And if you're a coleslaw connoisseur like I am, you need to try their honey, jalapeño slaw! It was excellent! Thank you, we will return as often as we can!
